Where's my Shedinja? D:

Is there a new method of getting Shedinja that I am not aware of? I recently evolved my Nincada into a Ninjask with a spare slot, but I didn't get a Shedinja after it evolved. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? D:

EDIT: Disregard this topic, delete it if necessary. The solution was that you needed a pokeball of the same type you caught Nincada in (or if bred, a regular pokeball) to get Shedinja.

Really? Every source I have read just says you need an empty slot, and in Ruby all I needed was an empty slot and got a Shedinja (I checked before and after the evolution and didn't lose anything). I have read that the pokeball that Shedinja is in will be the same as the one you caught Nincada in, but I never heard anything about needing an extra one.

Yeah, you need an extra pokeball of the same type and it uses that same pokeball. I think you're right about Ruby only needing an extra slot, because I believe that's how I evolved my shedinjas in the past.

So the lesson here guys is, don't catch your Nincada with a masterball! :p
