    Alright Sandalon let's try this.

Depending on how the Ref, refs this, use either Water Gun and spin in a circle to get all the clones. Or Surf if they are more spread out to get them all and reveal the real Athena. Then use Psychic to make Athena imobile and bounce her around and utterly unable to Captivate anything. Finally, Captivate her. ^^'''

    Water Gun or Surf/Psychic/Captivate
    Whoot.

    River versus The_Missing_Link
    Simplicity
    Ingido Stadium

    Sandalon
    Poliwrath
    HP: 100%
    MP: 100%
Water Gun ~ Psychic ~ Captivate

    Athena
    Weezing
    HP: 100%
    MP: 100%
Double Team ~ Captivate ~ Shockwave

Athena begins to battle with splitting into identical copies of herself (3 ENG @ Athena). Sandalon reacts accordingly, he spins around in a circle while spraying a water gun; though he does find the actual Athena, because he spun so fast he doesn’t so much damage (2 DMG @ Athena, 3 ENG @ Sandalon).

Weezing, despite being a practically ugly floating ball thing (in my opinion of course), begins to try and captivate Sandalon (3 ENG @ Athena). Sandalon has his orders though and before he could really get a good look at Athena, he wraps his mind around her and begins to bounce her *hard* on the ground. Weezing groans and begins to float again once the attack is over (13 DMG @ Athena, 4 ENG @ Sandalon).

Sandalon begins to try and captivate his opponent (3 ENG @ Sandalon). Athena, hurt by the psychic, isn’t buying it. She sparks wildly before a wave of electricity flies from her and hits the poliwrath (11 DMG @ Sandalon, 3 ENG @ Athena).

    Sandalon
    Poliwrath
    HP: 89%
    MP: 90%

    Athena
    Weezing
    HP: 85%
    MP: 91%

Alrighty, Sandalon let's try Diving into the pond and using a Surf and finish with a Psychic to throw her around.

Sandalon doesn't waste anytime, ignoring the peeved poison pokemon, he runs towards the pond and dives (3 ENG @ Sandalon) into the water. However, an arch of yellow lightning flies from the loathing goddess and strikes the pond and the water type, effectively doing some damage (14 DMG @ Sandalon, 4 ENG @ Athena)[/b].

Sandalon, from within the pound, recovers from the electric attacks and uses his mental abilities over the water. The pond churns and suddenly a massive stream of water slams into Athena (13 DMG @ Athena, 3 ENG @ Sandalon)! However, not according to the poison type's plan, Sandalon wasn't riding the wave, instead, she chooses the most logical choice of water the water type might be and fires a purple beam into the pond. The beam narrowly misses Sandalon (3 ENG @ Athena).

Sandalon returns to the surface of the slightly diminished pond to see a soaking wet Weezing. Poliwrath chuckles and then concentrates on forming a psychic aura around Athena to do increased damage again. However, Sandalon has invoked the fury of the Gods, and Athena puts a loathing curse on that move (6 ENG @ Athena, 15 ENG @ Sandalon). Sandalon strains, this spiteful curse makes it so he can barely use his psychic attack, but he manages to deliver the harmful blow (12 DMG @ Athena, 9 ENG Sandalon).

    Sandalon
    Poliwrath
    HP: 75%
    MP: 60%
    Spite: +5 ENG using Psychic

    Athena
    Weezing
    HP: 60%
    MP: 78%

According to the tower's definition of Spite, if I'm explicitly keeping tabs on energy, Spite is supposed to take off initial energy as well. So that explains the -15 ENG for Sandalon.
