Welcome lady and gents, to another fascinating battle of the first round of our legendary tournament! *breathes* In the right corner I have a person who has a strange fetish for dogs. Who are we to judge, right? So let’s give it a warm welcome for Houndoom_Lover! In the left corner we have the local ref here, who’s a crazy as an erm.. elf, or a boy. So anyway, enough with the gibberish, let’s get on with the match!

*Round One Begins*

And we’re off! Houndoom_Lover releases Articune, the bird of ice onto the field. As it appears, a beautiful sparkling coat surrounds the bird as it flies freely, waiting for its opponent. Meanwhile, the crazy boy, elf boy, crazy elf, whatever, releases the opponent. With clear type advantage and a humongous height, Registeel AKA the Pillar of Solitude appears onto the field. Remember folks, size does matter.

Pillar of Solitude waists no time to attack; as it stomps to the floor heavily with its iron feet. A rocky prison starts to surround Articuno, but a swift Aerial Ace command prevents the capture as Articuno dashes away out of the rocks and into the Pillar’s steel body. The damage is minimal, but Pillar would curse if it had a mouth.

(-5 EN, -3HP Pillar / -6 EN Articuno)

Trying to gain the advantage, Pillar creates an orb of toxic goo between the tips of his fingers and throws it at Articuno. The speedy ice-type counters immediately with its signature Icebeam and blasts the orb into pieces while hitting Pillar’s right foot due evasion of the beam. The pieces of the toxic orb splatter over Articuno as they slowly sink into its bloodstream. Pillar grunts as its right foot is stuck in the ice.

With Pillar stuck, Articuno sees a chance to hit it with its most powerful attack. It takes a good aim to pull this off and Articuno starts focusing. After collecting enough power to try and severely damage Pillar, it shoots, but a sudden sandstorm disrupts Articuno’s aim and protects Pillar’s life. Articuno winces as the sandstorm and poison hurt it slightly.

*Round Two Begins*

Articuno who didn’t fair very well last round has prepared for some payback. Skyrocketing upwards, it starts to call on its elemental powers, its eyes glowing white. Meanwhile, Pillar takes a nice aim and has locked on to Articuno even when it’s up so high. The blizzard is finally released and Pillar flinches by the devastating attack formed by the ice-bird, but manages to hold it in its lock, even in the sandstorm.

Articuno, happy with its successful attack starts to increase its speed with Tailwind. Pillar smiles and not even mach 3 could not evade its lock. He charges up a powerful ball of electricity between its metallic fingers and throws it skywards. The ball shifts through the air like pee in the snow and hits Articuno for massive damage. The ice-bird screeches as the paralysis overtook it.

In fury and rage by the obvious assault on its speed, Articuno retaliates with a strong, signature Icebeam. Pillar gets struck hit on, and even though it’s resistant to ice attacks, the legendary’s power over its element is great. Before the bird could even claim a happy dance; Pillar focuses and rocks break free from underground, forming a straight-line-pattern with three of them slamming into the fleeing Articuno.

Meanwhile the bird turned a faint purple for just a second, and the sandstorm keeps on raging.

Pillar starts to pick up rocks from the battered field, when it notices the familiar white glow in Articuno’s eyes. It drops the rocks immediately and puts up an invisible protective barrier to hold the sheer cold attack as it hits the shield with dazzling speed.

Another boring repeat would’ve taken place if it wasn’t for the paralyze that kicked in. Articuno was defenceless as its body couldn’t move and was hit head on by Pillar who saw its chance with the rocks.

The sandstorm is still raging on, with Pillar of Solitude standing firmly on the area, looking at the paralyzed bird who was not only paralyzed, but also poisoned.

Articuno creates several copies of itself while flying up high, while Pillar just stands relaxing in solitude. Meanwhile, the sandstorm makes short work of the copies Articuno just put up.

The act of flying up high was useless as the term Roost, relies on roosting, which means going down for a quick rest. As the ref carefully explains, Articuno rushes down and relaxes for a while, while Pillar quickly gathers more rocks and throws in the air; for them to rain down on the defenceless Articuno.

Pissed by her failed attempts, Articuno takes flight once more and calls upon the elemental force of hail to aid it in smacking down this golem of steel. As the hail starts to fall, Pillar strengthens its sandstorm again as a counter-reaction and we get a messed up weather condition formed by blowing, chaotic tornado’s of sand with a ‘haily’ background, as the ice-stones rush down.

Pillar just stands quietly, relaxing as Articuno flies low and rushes over to it. It spreads its wings and prepares for a full crash, aimed right at Pillar’s head. Pillar stays calm, but grunts after Articuno smashed his head.

As Pillar keeps on standing, Articuno made a U-turn and went back spouting water all over the already hurt golem. Articuno flinches halfway the attack due paralyze, so it didn’t fully connect.

Several orbs are flying around Articuno’s head as it flies back up after shaking off the paralysis for now. The orbs turn a faint brown colour as Articuno widens its eyes and the orbs crash into the steel golem, severly hurting it.

Pillar as solid as ever, keeps on monitoring Articuno’s progress as it creates the familiar orbs once more, keeping them clutched together and eventually firing them towards our steel golem. Pillar gets hit hard in the chest, but remains on its feet.

Articuno gathers all the rest of its energy and fires her signature Sheer Cold attack once more. The combined ice and wind attack rages towards Pillar who worked up a protective shield and avoids all damage.

Articuno falls down on the floor, exhausted, as Pillar of Solitude closes its ‘eyes’ and takes a nap.

Jack immediately releases a surge of electricity that paralyzes Pillar, who doesn’t seem to notice anything.

Still under the impression that it is still in its soft bed, Pillar sleeps away while Spicer released an immense wave of heat, formed by the joint-venture of crimson red flames and superheated air. The wave crashes into our Pillar of Solitude, damaging it heavily.

After smiling about the heavy damage done, Jack flies up again and makes a U-turn, ready to unleash yet another attack. Pillar charges up for a Thunderwave attack that can cripple Jack, and is ready to unleash it when Jack comes up and blinds Pillar with Mudslap. Pillar lost his accuracy and shot the Thunderwave into the clouds.

Ok Time to go out with a bang, if nothing else Jack will be wasting quite a bit of energy.

Start of by using the sandstormy snow as cover and bring Jack to the ground with Rock Tomb, Follow by running over to him while Protecting yourself. If he has escaped from the tomb jump and grab him and Explode. If he is still stuck in the tomb even better run into the tomb and explode.

Pillar starts concentrating as rocks sprout from the ground, threatening to surround Jack. Jack ofcourse, has a plan. It shoots off with Aerial Ace and escapes the rocky prison Pillar had prepared. After rushing away, Jack makes a u-turn and shoots a beam of white energy out of its beak, hurting AND confusing Pillar.

Pillar is confused right now and doesn’t know what to do. Following his commands, it protects itself and runs over to the flying Jack. Jumping up and glowing a strange white, Pillar tries to grab Jack, who had detected the attack before the jump and safely flies away. As Pillar is falling back to the ground, the strange white totally engulfs it and it explodes in mid-air.
