You made both Butterfree and Weedle #027, both Meowth and Persian are #136, and both Munchlax and Snorlax are #234.

I notice a strange lack of certain 4th-gen pokémon. If Bonsly and Mime Jr., new pre-evos of old species, are on this list then why isn't Happiny? If Leafeon and Glaceon, who evolve by levelling up in a certain place, are on this list then why isn't Magnezone? If Magmortar and Electivire, who need to be traded while holding new items, are on this list then why isn't Porygon Z? And where are the stone-evolvers Togekiss, Honchkrow and Mismagius?

You also missed out Mewtwo and Mew. Mew is #250 in the Johto Dex.
    Gen II Johto Dex
    Gen IV Johto Dex

That's all that has been revealed so far!

This has probably been asked over and over and you're probably all bored of it if it has, but here goes.

I'm trying to get all (or most) of the national dex into pearl from G1 G2 and G3. Now i know you can only migrate from G3 and G4 and i know you can only trade between G1 and G2 with a time capsule. What i really need to know is if there's any way (without buying FR or LG) to trade between G2 and G3. Reason is because i have caught and traded some really decent leveled pokémon and i just want to pass them on up rather than buy the G3 remake of G1 and retrain everything, and also because i have a mew, and i have no idea how to get them other than trading up.

Any help? otherwise i'll just have to buy the G3 remakes i guess

Sorry, but there is absolutely no way. It's completely impossible. This was done for a reason; the data for a pokémon in the first two generations isn't compatible with the data for a pokémon in the more recent ones.

If you want to be able to have all of the Gen I and Gen II species without buying Fire/Leaf, there is another way. With WiFi trading in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, you can recieve these pokémon in trades with people who have Fire/Leaf, even if they live on the other side of the country or the world. Then, too, more classic species can be caught in Diamond/Pearl than you might realize. Some of them can only be found with the PokéRadar, which you obtain along with the National Dex.

so logically: buy the remakes of the generations; trade over nintendo WiFi; or leave it be basically.

i've looked everywhere and most places i looked said there was no way, i just thought there might be the merest hint of hope i wouldn't have to buy the remakes. cheers for clearing it up though

I've got another quick question, that when i think about asking sounds about as dense as my last question, so here goes.

I've heard about the Nintendo event to do with Arceus and i thought to myself, how do you go about playing the Nintendo events? do you need to go to a shop and wi-fi connect to a computer with the event data on it? or do you just need to connect to a wi-fi point to access the internet to download the event content? or is there something i'm missing?

Until recently, you had to go somewhere such as a Toys 'R' Us store in order to get anything...and what you got was the pokémon itself, despite the fact that there's hidden content in the game allowing you to explore special areas and find the pokémon in a scripted encounter.

These days, though, Nintendo has started handing out event-unlocking items through Mystery Gift, and you don't even have to leave your home! (Assuming you have WiFi in your home.) You just have to activate Mystery Gift on your 4th-gen game (which is done by giving certain answers in a survey at the Jubilife TV Station), and then you can use WiFi to connect to Nintendo's servers. Doing so will get you an item like the Secret Key or the Member Card; these items are needed to access special hidden content in your game. (This might only be doable with Platinum Version; I'm not sure.)

Well i was on Bulbapedia (Pokémon Wikia) and it gave a list of the Nintendo events coming up and already passed, and it suggested most of them were automatically available to Platinum versions, but it also suggested quite a few of them were open to Pearl and Diamond, being a "seperate" event from the Platinum version - i'm guessing because of the subtle differences in the game engine not allowing them to release one single event for both P&D and Pt.

Did the previous events get rereleased for WiFi? or have they just been classed and "done and finished", because i don't know where i read it, but something i read suggests that the events depend on your DS being set to your time-zone actual time, so you need to have your DS time set properly in order to access these events...thats a little question i wasn't too sure about
