One website brings Online Manga sites to their knees

So if you havn't been to Mangafox or recently OneManga, you will notice that alot of series are disappearing, any that have any hint of sexual content or possibly over the top violence as in the case apparently with One Manga, are being taken down. Why? Apparently one blogger got his panties in a knot about Kodomo no Jikan and has brought the attention to Google. Since Google apparently advertises on these sites and thus provides them money to keep going, they have responded by yanking down anything objectionable in a massive and large sweep of their manga libraries. This includes Lolicon, Shotacon, Yuri, Yaoi, Shonen Ai, and Shoujo Ai, and OR ANYTHING WITH A ADULT OR MATURE TAG ( This would include violent mangas ) if I am hearing correctly. This seems to have a danger in affecting all Online Scanlations, as anyone doing business with Google will be afraid to post a thing that could possibly offend Google in any way.

So has anyone's manga habits been affected by this one man yet?

Yuck, that's gonna suck for Scanlators. That means those businesses might die out quick because a lot of manga has objectionable content and even manga that comes here has those contents edited before it's published.

Example:

Full Metal Alchemist has someone tortured or imprisoned on something that looks like a cross, that's edited in the american version of the manga to be a slab of stone.

It hasn't affected me much, since the vast majority of manga I read from Online Manga sites are... I wouldn't call them kid-friendly, but more along the lines of mature enough without the adult or mature tag attached onto it. The only manga that I really wanted to read online that had a mature/Adult rating on it was Suzuka, and it only has that tag because it's uncensored when it comes to it's nudity scenes, but I'm more interested in the plot than in the nudity. That's my problem with the blogger who complained, they're putting more context in the art rather than the plot. If I wanted to read a manga that had blatant nudity in it in a serious manner, I'd read Manga Sutra, which, to my knowledge, isn't on any online sites whatsoever.

I have a lot of Manga and I have 1 or 2 titles that aren't kid-friendly for sure. One is Cross (discontinue) and the other is not Manga but Manhwa (Korean) called Deus Vitae. Also, I see complaining about Rozen Maiden sometime in the future too.

I've been reading Franken Fran, which has recently been suspeneded by OneManga. I don't know if Higurashi or Umineko no Naku Koro Ni will be suspended, but I really hope they don't. They probably will though, because of the bloody, violent kids. ^^;;
