2010 Unown Awards: Nominations

Welcome to the 2010 Unown Awards!

First off, yes, you're in the Misc. forum, however, with PCG shifting its focus to all games, we've decided to move the Unown Awards here this year considering this is where the TPM Awards have been held in past years.

This is the nomination round, which will last for two weeks, putting the deadline for nominations at November 15, 2010.

So with that, let's get started!

For those of you who don't know how this works: In the nomination round we pick members who have something to do with a word or phrase that starts with the letter represented by each Unown. As you can see, we also have awards for the ! and ? Unowns. They're given out for things that end in an exclamation or question mark. The exclamation mark award is usually given out for something surprising, and the question mark award is usually given out for something strange/questionable/unusual/mysterious/etc. For each Unown, put the username of the member you're nominating along with what you're nominating them for.

To use last year's winners as examples, if you are impressed by mr_pikachu's grammar skills, then you would put

G: grammar - mr_pikachu

as your nomination, or if you found it really surprising that Lady Vulpix found our long-lost webmaster Kevin, you might put

!: She found Kevin! - Lady Vulpix

Don't feel obligated to put in a nomination for each Unown award, and you are allowed to go back and edit your nominations before the deadline. If you're still not sure how it all works, check out the threads for last year's Unown Awards in the Main Archive forum.

The next round will be the voting round, where we'll take everyone's nominations and vote for who is the most deserving of each award, followed by any tiebreaker rounds. Lastly, the winners will be announced.

After consulting last year's thread and the one for the year before, neither mentioned anything about self-nominations. Self-votes were allowed in the past though...

I'd say it's fine, as long as you only do it once. No nominating yourself for multiple awards.

Yeah, and besides that, if you nominate yourself for an award, it isn't exactly good sportsmanship in my opinion, I mean, it's very likely you won't get that award if nobody else believes you deserve it.

Bran and MC aren't the only ones who haven't been around TPM much. An inactive RPG Forum (well an inactive TPM in general actually) as well as real life have kinda put the place on the backburner. Hell as of late if you see me on MSN I'm most likely logged in via my 360 when I'm either watching TNG or playing Red Dead Redemption (major contender for Game of the Year and perhaps Game of the Decade 2010-19)

I'll try to be online a bit more if time allows it. After all my day isn't complete without being on the receiving end of some kind of snarky comment from Blade.....which reminds me. My 360 just hit the one year mark on the manufacture date bro and it's still going strong. Newer 360's are after all designed much better than the garbage Microsoft put out at launch
