Sensing his end very quickly, Coatyl decides to nut up. Palmsmack, meanwhile, goes in for an easy kill by hiding in the shadows once again. The tiny bird swiftly attacks, but connects with Coatyl's protective barrier [ -3PP Palmsmack ]. Before Palm can make his escape, however, he is struck with a great feeling of pain -- the great equalizer drains away a lot of Palm's health at a high cost of Coatyl's remaining energy [ -51HP Palmsmack / -51PP + -6PP, -2HP Quezecoatyl ].

Completely out of energy, there's nothing more Coatyl can do as Palmsmack delivers a one-two combo of faint attacks [ -6HP + -6HP + -1HP Quezecoatyl / -6PP Palmsmack ].

With his prehistoric bird down, Mew Master summons Kenshin, his samurai-reminiscent otter. Palmsmack, quite ready to make this water dweller his bitch too, summons a hasty wind to sweep around the dusty arena and knock Kenshin off his feet [ -6HP Kenshin / -4PP Palmsmack ]. Kenshin pulls himself back together before firing off a blade of ice that pegs Palmsmack out of the sky quite easily [ -14HP Palmsmack / -7PP Kenshin ].

Palmsmack notes his bind, and readies an unusual tether designed to equalize the health of both pokémon it touches. Palm flings the tether forward, but it only manages to snag Kenshin's protective barrier before fizzling out into nothingness [ -5PP Kenshin / -5PP Palmsmack ].

Palmsmack sighs before getting off his final attack -- hurling the otter across the arena using telekinesis [ -8HP Kenshin / -5PP Palmsmack ]. Again, Kenshin picks himself back up and ends Palmsmack with another ice beam [ -8HP Palmsmack / -7PP Kenshin ].

ROUND 10
Moderator Darkly recalls his fallen bird, replacing him with a tiny tarantula -- Joltik. Kenshin, trying his best not to be afraid of an electric pokémon, attempts to anger his foe with a series of taunts... if he could only find his foe [ -2PP Kenshin ]. Joltik, who had been hiding in the darkness, leaps out behind his samurai foe and gives him a nasty bite [ -6HP Kenshin / -4PP Joltik ]!

Kenshin, annoyed that he got bested so easily, tries once more to anger his foe. He draws his shell blade and scratches it along the arena floor, creating a devastatingly loud screech that could be heard for miles. Joltik, however, counters his foe's efforts, screeching just as loudly, just as annoyingly, before neither pokémon can understand what they were just doing [ -3PP Kenshin / -3PP Joltik ].

Feeling greatly displeased that he's oh-for-two, Kenshin decides to attack this time, drawing his blade and slashing his bug opponent with a shadow element [ -7HP Joltik / -5PP Kenshin ]. He withdraws his blade, trying to look like a badass, before being struck by the tarantula's charge beam [ -7HP Kenshin / -2PP, +10% SpA Joltik ]!

ROUND 11
The unnamed joltik acts quickly, firing off another powerful charge beam that engulfs the tiny otter samurai [ -8HP Kenshin / -2PP Joltik ] as he burrows underneath the arena floor [ -2PP Kenshin ].

Joltik, unsure of where his opponent is, twiddles his... legs... for a bit [ +10PP Joltik ] while Kenshin sharpens his shell blade [ +20% Atk, -5PP Kenshin ].

Joltik, now on high alert, is attacked from underneath as Kenshin unearths himself, damaging the spider with a powerful earth-based tackle [ -14HP Joltik / -3PP Kenshin ]. The electric arachnid responds justly by buzzing horrendously [ -10HP, -10% SpD Kenshin / -6PP Joltik ].

ROUND 12
Joltik begins the twelth round in the exacty manner as the previous: striking Kenshin with a powerful charge blast [ -9HP Kenshin / -2PP, +10% SpA Joltik ]. The samurai otter, meanwhile, hits the tarantula with a stream of scalding hot water [ -8HP Joltik / -5PP Kenshin ].

The hot water slowly drips off of Joltik (who's still quite annoyed) as he lunges toward Kenshin and jabs him with his venomous tendrils [ -8HP, +3% Psn Kenshin / -6PP Joltik ], poisoning his foe. Kenshin, unsure how to respond, does so anyway with a powerful slash -- enhanced by dark energy [ -10HP Joltik / -6PP, -1HP Kenshin ].

Kenshin readies his signature attack. He draws his blade, but before he can use it, he is struck by Jolt's sucker punch [ -8HP Kenshin / -6PP Joltik ]. That bastard! He's gonna pay. Kenshin slashes angrily, causing a mess of damage [ -9HP, -10% Def Joltik / -4PP, -1HP Kenshin ].

Joltik readies himself another electric attack, but Kenshin's got his eyes peeled -- he's ready for whatever this bug throws at him. SNAP!, a furious bolt of electricity rains from the sky, striking just a few inches away from Kenshin's feet [ -5PP Joltik / -7PP, -1HP Kenshin ]. He evaded the attack!

Both pokémon size one another up from opposite sides of the battlefield before lunging at one another with their respective attacks -- Joltik with Cross Poison and Kenshin with Shell Blade -- striking one another harshly [ -8HP, -4PP, -1HP Kenshin / -9HP, -6PP Joltik ].

Once more, the two pokémon strike at eachother swiftly [ -8HP, -6PP, -1HP Kenshin / -10HP, -5PP Joltik ].

Kenshin knows his time is nearing its end -- he has to execute his swan song perfectly or else... nevermind, he just got zapped by another one of Joltik's thunderbolts [ -17HP Kenshin / -5PP Joltik ]. Yeah, he's done.

ROUND 15
Kenshin is recalled and replaced by Hades, Mew Master's second Unova-sanctioned starter pokémon. The fiery pig vows to defend his teams honor by... yawning? Yup... I guess so [ -2PP Hades ]. Nonetheless, Joltik takes the bait and yawns himself, getting tired [ +25% Tir Joltik ]. The electric spider shakes it off before tackling Hades from in the shadows [ -6HP Hades / -4PP Joltik ].

Hades, feeling accomplished, stamps his tiny feet on the ground, creating an eruption of quakes all around the battlefield. Magnitude 8! The rupturing frightens Joltik, who's too immobilized to evade [ -15HP Joltik / -8PP Hades ]. The spider, after all that, just falls asleep [ +100% Slp Joltik ].

With his foe under [ +10PP Joltik ], Hades stops relaxing and instead bathes the spider in a torrent of flames. The fires splash against Jolt's hide, dealing incredible damage [ -14HP, +10% Brn, -100% Slp Joltik / -6PP Hades ], forcing him out of his slumber quite easily. Joltik is left to wonder what the what just happened.

The newly-named Interwebz begins his last round by hiding in the shadows, waiting for the perfect time to strike. But as he lurks about, Hades sweeps his hiding spot with a flamethrower, dealing enough damage to wipe the little bug out completely [ -10HP Interwebz / -6PP Hades ].
