ROUND 1
We enter the first round of this promised-to-be-epic battle among gym leaders with Mew leading with his deino, King Ghidora, and Darkly going with Lunge, his croagunk.

King, despite his nature, just stands still as Lunge leaps forward and smacks him upside the head! The frog's webbed-fingers even leak poisons that slowly make their way through King's scales [ -4HP, +3% Psn King G., FLINCH / -2PP Lunge ].

Just one attack in and already the battle is going in his favor, Lunge begins act two by flexing his muscles [ +10% Atk, +10% SpA, -5PP Lunge ]. King, meanwhile, notes the attack and performs a similar act [ +10% Atk, +10% SpA, -5PP, -1HP King G. ].

With his newfound sense of strength, Lunge takes to his name and lunges forward; his fist, covered in steel energy, is thrown forward into King, knocking the dragon back a few steps [ -6HP King G. / -3PP Lunge ]. Ghidora, however, doesn't mind this attack too much, and instead retalliates by summoning the earth's energy around him and firing it (in beam form) directly into Lunges stomache, throwing him to the floor greatly [ -13HP Lunge / -7PP, -1HP King G. ].

ROUND 2
King, very eager, lets loose with a powerful soundwave that knocks Lunge off his feet entirely [ -8HP Lunge / -3PP, -1HP King G. ]. The frog ribbits for a second as he pulls himself back up; he snaps his webbed fingers, creating several clones that keep his evasion upped [ +75% Eva, -6PP Lunge ].

Now with four foes to attack, King anxiously charges forward, using his poison as a strength increaser. He tackles a clone [ -9% Eva Lunge / -4PP, -1HP King G. ] before getting slammed in the side by the real Lunge [ -22HP King G. / -10PP Lunge ].

King, in awe, pulls himself together and readies his next attack. However, before he can launch it, he is struck with the very same attack, compliments of the frog [ -10HP King G. / -8PP Lunge ]. It's like he was inside his head the whole time! The dragon pokémon doesn't sweat it, however, and instead launches the attack back at the croagunk, managing to strike him [ -8HP, -66% Eva Lunge / -4PP, -1HP King G. ].

ROUND 3
Lunge plates his fist in an iron casing before lunging at the king with impeccable speed. The hit connects, and King reels back for just a second [ -5HP King G. / -3PP Lunge ]. King, however, just follows the advice of the young frog and creates several illusions that wrap around the battlefield [ +75% Eva, -6PP, -1HP King G. ].

Feeling sinister, the dragon gathers up some stored earth energy before firing it off in a powerful display. The blast knocks Lunge clear off his feet quite easily [ -15HP, -10% SpD Lunge / -7PP, -1HP King G. ]. The croagunk, feeling quite woosy, struggles back to his feet before striking back with rock slide. It's a lucky hit!, the deino winces in pain as the rocks rain down upon his hide [ -8HP, -75% Eva King G. / -5PP Lunge ].

Feeling incredibly displeased that his ruse failed him, King fires off another powerful earth attack, once more knocking the frog off his webbed feet [ -16HP Lunge / -7PP, -1HP King G. ]. Lunge, still dizzy, manages to get himself back together before focusing all his strength into this last hit. The force is slow and predictable, but King is unable to avoid it by any means as the force of the punch knocks him into a nearby tree [ -16HP, +25% Con King G. / -8PP Lunge ].

ROUND 4
King takes a moment to gather his thoughts and his focus, killing his confusion in the process [ -2PP, -1HP King G. ], but he leaves himself wide open for Lunge's one-two icy punches [ -12HP + -8HP King G. / -10PP Lunge ].
