    A challenger appears! Oslo, since you've reserved a spot, let us commence the formalities and get this rumble under-way.

    The DQ: 4 Days
    The Rules: The battle is point based. For every win, the Trainer gets 2 points, and every loss 1 Point. At the end of Four Sets, whoever has the most points wins the Battle. The arena randomly changes when one Combatant is TKO'd And both send out fresh Pokemon to continue the battle.
    Move Restrictions: Dependent Upon Arena.

    I'm going to go with Polkaroo, my Scrappy female Kangaskhan.

    Focus Blast, Drain Punch, Focus Blast.

    Now it's time or subs! Ahem. Aerial Ace if he uses Double Team. Uproar if he uses Hypnosis. Aaaand, if he uses Curse like I suspect he wants to, Roar loudly to interrupt the move (but don't even try this if you're Taunted).

    Hmm... Interesting.

    Okay Jib, you might be taking some damage this round, but we'll make it work. First off Taunt that Kangaskan, then since it's taunted use Curse, and after his final Focus blast wrap up the round with Pain Split.

    Lol, but doesn't the fact that it so easily turned the tides in your battle confirm that Curse+Pain Split is, in fact, a cheap ploy? Not to be overly critical, though... I've certainly whipped out a few brainless, surefire tactics in my time. I expect I'm going to have to again if I want to win this one.

    Well well well. It seems the second unsung hero of ASB Gym gathering has stepped up to the plate. Oslo is here to claim badge number four! This upstart is rearing to go, and he doesn't even allow Denz the time to talk the talk. He throws down his Pokeball, revealing a Kangaskhan with an attitude.

    Mew Master bows, and releases his own Pokemon to start, a stone gripped phantom. Both Pokemon eye each other down in the midst of this Dragon's Roost, where the phantasmal and phenomenal meet the ethereal!

    MM& OS: >.> Dude, seriously. Ref the match.

    Uh uh ok. Jib slides its Keystone forward, wagging its tongue at the hulking brute of a female. In fact, he uses that, calling her the female version of Predator. Wow, he's going in, saying that's why her baby daddy is missing, she ate them after breeding. That earned him that Focus Blast to the face.

    Jib: -2E/-20H ~~ Polka: -12E Tnt: 4 act

    The blast caused the dragons in the area to look back and watch the stone-grafted ghost go tumbling down a large set of ribs, and into a pile of bones. Before Jib could re-emerge and reform, that keystone was hoisted up by Polka (who bounded right after him) and punched upward with a nasty uppercut. Jib's keystone went spinning in the air, but landed right side up, Jib obviously feeling the hurt. That damn Kanga must've ate its vitamins to be hitting like that!

    But the games were over, as far as Jib was concerned. Taking a massive risk, it took a rib lying next to him and lifted it up with its ghostly powers. Jib pointed the rib at his tether, before impaling himself. As the pain seemed to flow out of Jib, a strange smoke ensnared Polka as Jib muttered some horrid incantation. The Curse was set.

    Jib: -7E/-35H ~~ Polka: -6E Crs

    Polka knew something was up, and she didn't like it one bit. Jib laughed, as Polka charged up a second massive blast. Jib merely locked eyes with her, but that gave Polka the steady target she needed. One handed, she spiked the energy on Jib's form, causing it to disperse momentarily.

    As the ghost started to reform, Polka felt her body being pulled and tugged,a s glowing green spheres brushed agaisnt her. It came slowly at first, then in a rush, causing her body to shiver as her very essence was removed by these orbs...that formed into Jib! Once the ghost was fully realized again, Polka was able to snap away from that pain, and she stepped back, looking at her hands and legs...was she going to be ok?

    Jib: -12E/-20H/+38H ~~ Polka: -12E/-38H

    Nope. A searing blackout pain overtook her and she fell to her knees. Health ran from her like a child from a rickety van. (25) This wouldn't end well, would it?

    Things I noticed:
    1) Jib was down to 25% Before the Pain Split. :/ Polka's a scary chick, even w/o Curse's help.

    .... Although I'm trying to find out how a Moderate Damage Move (even with a x2 weakness thanks to Scrappy) does 35 Damage .... and the Incredible Moves do 20.... Wouldn't it be 2x35 + 20 = 90? And how'd it go above the 15 max damage per attack (Before Stat Bonuses, STAB, and Weaknesses)? Questions questions...

    Disrupt his attacks by dodging his moves and attacking from the shadows with some Faint Attacks.

    One round in, and Polka is already in dire straits. She looks at the ghost, and Jib snickers...before being tagged! What the hell man! That wasn't even right! Completely caught off guard by that!

    Jib: -5H ~~ Polka: -4E

    Well not again. Jib vanishes before Polka can sum up her next attack, and reappears with a violent rock-to-face meeting. Polka holds it together and strikes with a streaking punch that once again, tags the phantom.

    Jib: -6E/-5H ~~ Polka: -5E/-10H

    Polka then watches as Jib vanishes once more. Well, her last motions weren't to be wasted. Jib reappeared as Polka was in mid sing, and he struck her in the gut. But her song carried on, leaving him with the largest problem yet. Being dead asleep.

    Jib: -6E Slp ~~ Polka: -4E/-10H

    Polka sat down, and shrugged. What was there to do. She patted her baby, as the Curse overwhelmed her, and took her out the match.

    When the soul departs from the body, this is where Nehebkau dwells. A serpent with the arms and legs of a man, he guards the spirits of Pharaohs and nobility along with the entrance to the underworld. Long in body, and fierce towards those who disturb the dead, Nehebkau watches this arena. The arena is a wide darkened passage, while it is dark, a fog hangs a few feet above the floor. Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols float in the air representing the separation of the spirit from life. Throughout the battle Nehebkau can be seen slithering around the arena, watching the battlers carefully. The area magnifies Dark, Bug, and Ghost moves, giving them normal accuracy. Other moves are reduced in their accuracy.

    Hazards:
    Spirits – The ghosts of those passing onto the underworld will pass by and attack the battlers for 5 damage every round.

    Bonuses:
    Spirit Stuff – Ghosts can be hit with Normal and Fighting Type Attacks without Foresight, and Ghost attacks can hit Normal Types.
    I See You – Ghost, Bug, and Dark attacks do not have their accuracy lowered. All other Attack Types do.
    Fighting Blind – All other Type attacks are at reduced accuracy

    Restricted moves:
    Water
    Fire
    Grass
    Ground
    Psychic
    Flash
    Any Healing


    Things I noticed:
    1) 2 new ways to beat out Curse. Mwahahaha
    2) Pain Split has a potential problem...
    3) Mew, does Victor send out first in your Gym for each arena shift? Don't see that in your desc.

    Actually DL,it'd continue with the attack order. So Since Oslo attacked last for the previous round, I'd release first, he'd attack first, then I'd attack second.

    And speaking of which, don't get ahead of yourself thar Oslo, I send out first

    Yes, the Elemental Type of attacks cannot be used whatsoever, this doesn't mean that Pokemon of those types cannot be in the arena, just the moves are off limits.

    Hmm...Interesting interesting. Not what I was expecting, but then again, roll with the punches.

    Rock Climb to dodge the first blast, and get yoursefl set up with a Mindreader before using your new awareness to hit him with a Water Pulse.

    As the now annoying chorus of dragons sing their whiny song, we are transported into a dank chamber somewhere within some ancient temple. I say this 'cause that's what I wrote on the wall the last time I was here

    Oslo and Mew release their Pokemon in this new arena, and its really refreshing to see a Nidoking after all this time. Susanoo growled at the sight of the poison barbed foe, and flexed his fingers to show off his spurs. Pinocchio growls, and began enlarging a massive sphere in its maw. The blast fired after considerable time, but Susanno ran toward the blast, and then up the wall! Tucking into a font flip, he narrowly evaded the blast, and came out of the attack in a flying kick to Thrasys's face.

    Sus: -5E ~~ Thr: -10E/-3H

    Taken by surprise by that maneuver, Thrashy tried this once again. The hallway was wider then it thought, so aiming was a little tricky here. Susanno merely locked in his focus-but forgot to rationalize how close he was to Thrashypants. This time, the Focus Blast did not miss, and it sent him flying backwards. He laid sprawled on the floor, cursing his naivete.

    Sus: -3E/-20H ~~ Thr: -10E

    Thrashypants welled up a third blast to try and take this fighter down, and Susanno tried to impede his charge with a nasty attack of the ...special kind. Yeaaah, the spirits locked that down. As a dark energy warped around his hands, forcing his powers over the elements to be deterred, a second orange flash of light slammed into him. This time, Susanno only felt half as pained, as the blast was off a tad. Thrashypants wondered why the hell was it so dark in here!

    Sus: -11H ~~ Thr: -10E

    The phantoms of this land came speeding by, each ripping a bit of life from the battlers.(5)

    Yeah, I just realized that after I had debated the other move to use that would have worked still. And for CRYING OUT LOUD DL! Stop switching the genders of my Pokemon!

    Okay Susanoo, keep your distance and stick to the shadows with a Dark Pulse, a Shadow Ball and then another Dark Pulse. If he tries a Double Team then use Foresight.

    Hrm... let's try Supersonic. Follow with Shock Wave + Focus Blast.

    Both posturing themselves to try and see the other clearly, our two combatants try for alternative strategies. Sus kneels, before firing a Pulse of Energy that rockets forward. He listens, before a successful grunting was heard-usually the sound of something being struck. It was promptly followed by a medium hum, that grew to overtake him and cause him to be slightly irritable.

    Thrashy continued belting out the sound waves, knowing they'd bounce all over the place.

    Sus: -7E Cfn ~~ Thr: -3E/-9H

    Sus continues the long range assault, this time lying down on his stomach and playin...yeah he's confused. Sucks too, since a strange yellow and orange wave of energy is rolling his way. It crackles like electricity, but it seems to pack a punch. Susanoo hops up, only to be bowled over by this energy trail that follows his motion. The blast explodes with extreme prejudice, launching Sus back quite a ways.

    Sus: @_@ -25H ~~ Thr: -14E

    Sus shakes his head, feeling some cobwebs get shifted around. He wobbly finds his footing, as Thrasy sits quietly. A thin purple hue sets the fighter off, and a Dark Pulse is once again fired into the murky darkness of this stage. Once again, a grunt was heard! Success from three point range!

    Sus: -7E ~~ Thr: -9H

    The phantoms of this land came speeding by, each ripping a bit of life from the battlers.(5)

    ===Stats===


    Oslo


    When the soul departs from the body, this is where Nehebkau dwells. A serpent with the arms and legs of a man, he guards the spirits of Pharaohs and nobility along with the entrance to the underworld. Long in body, and fierce towards those who disturb the dead, Nehebkau watches this arena. The arena is a wide darkened passage, while it is dark, a fog hangs a few feet above the floor. Egyptian hieroglyphic symbols float in the air representing the separation of the spirit from life. Throughout the battle Nehebkau can be seen slithering around the arena, watching the battlers carefully. The area magnifies Dark, Bug, and Ghost moves, giving them normal accuracy. Other moves are reduced in their accuracy.

    Hazards:
    Spirits – The ghosts of those passing onto the underworld will pass by and attack the battlers for 5 damage every round.

    Bonuses:
    Spirit Stuff – Ghosts can be hit with Normal and Fighting Type Attacks without Foresight, and Ghost attacks can hit Normal Types.
    I See You – Ghost, Bug, and Dark attacks do not have their accuracy lowered. All other Attack Types do.
    Fighting Blind – All other Type attacks are at reduced accuracy

    Restricted moves:
    Water
    Fire
    Grass
    Ground
    Psychic
    Flash
    Any Healing

    1) Nidokings are kinda unlucky....

    Thrash looks around this abysmal darkness, knowing his quarry is very close. Raising his horn to the sky, an electrically powered glow encases it. The glow is barely visible after a few feet, but that's the distance Sus needs. He slides to within range, and calmly begins to glow, his aura sensing skills calming down ti filter out all the spirits around him.

    An electrical ring envelops him as well, but it's not so bad...

    Sus: -3E/-4H +SpA/D ~~ Thr: -4E

    Feeling a bit more refreshed, Sus takes the battle to a new level. A Shadowball spears from the apparent darkness around Thrash, and sends him packing. The beast falls over from the hit to his back and stays down for a bit. His position is fortunate, as a second Shock Wave ignites and lights up Susanno's body.

    Sus: -7E/-4H ~~ Thr: -4E/-11H

    Staying low doesn't fool the Lucario, as the Shadowball battalion now flew at a downward angle. They throw Thrashy back and sideways, but the Nidoking takes the hits in stride. Back on his feet, Thrash makes sure the Shock waves didn't stop! A third floored the fighter-joints keeping too much of that static charge.

    Thrash quits toying with the Lucario, and starts building up a large amount of energy. The huge chunk of change doesn't stop the fighter for trying to cave in Thrash's chest with a well aimed Shadowball.

    As he heads Thrash fall into a pile of rubble, Sus ducks behind some cover. For a moment, a yellow flash flies over his head, sizzling with a strange energy. Peering out, there's no sign of Thrash, but a yellow bar moving rapidly his way. He ducks again, and turns around to see the orange and yellow bar smack him in the chest. It causes unrelenting pain...and the Lucarion falls to his knees.

    Sus: -7E/-25H ~~ Thr: -14E/-11H


    ===Stats===


    Os release, Mew release and attack.

    Volcano Bed - Kíashkiklah (Original/Western)

    Set within a volcanic cavern, the floor of the arena is still cooling with glowing cracks that show the red-hot lava flowing underneath. Kíashkiklah stands overlooking the fighting on a protruding rock structure, roaring and the sounds echoing in the cavern. In his raging state, the Fire Dragon will launch massive fireballs into the arena, damaging anything nearby for 15% at random intervals. He will also set up a barrier that will block Physical and Special attacks around certain Pokemon for a single attack. Very uncomfortable for any non-Fire, Rock, or Dragon Pokémon.

    Hazards:
    Kíashkiklah – Randomly launches fireballs for 15 Damage

    Bonuses:
    Kíashkiklah – Randomly protect someone with a Dome barrier against one attack. Acts like Protect or Detect.

    Restricted Moves:
    No Plant
    No Water
    No Steel


    Things I noticed:
    1) Match is tied 1-1. Who will prevail!

    Whoa! Stage 3 is hot hot hot! As I change into non melting footwear, Oslo releases a phantom built for the heat. Maytag bounces forth, flapping its door wide open as Godzilla flaps into view. Charcoal colored Charizard careens toward the kitchen unit, intent on getting this match started.

    High above them on a magnificent spire-Kia stares down at the foes engaged in battle. It pleases him so, so he allows it to continue-uninterrupted.

    Maytag swiftly flings out a blast of electricity, but the charcoal Charizard flies right through the wave, and lands only a few feet from the oven.

    God: -6E ~~ May: -2E

    Feeling that the oven might need some ...encouragement, Godzilla beckons for the foe to attack. Maytag takes the opening and fires off a blast of electricity from its open door! Kia laughs at the foolishness of the Charizard, and pays attention to this match with a certain degree of ...glee that's downright creepy.

    God: -4E/-18H ~~ May: -7E

    Maytag seconds his blast, to make sure that Godzilla got the point-he was in it to win it. Godzilla let the heat get to him just a little bit, enough to heighten his intense motions. Reaching for the tangible ghost, Godzilla grabbed on to the convection oven, and bashed his head into the now closed door.

    Maytag flips backwards from the slam, and lies on the cauldron ground, stunned. How'd that happen?!?!?
