BEAT ME TO EUPHORIA

chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
Seeking every answer

verse one
Pack up all your things
For you’re not going anywhere
Look to the skies for familiarity
But familiarity never comes here

chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
Seeking every answer

verse two
Pray for good health
But do not make any demands
Pray for pain and sacrifice, not here
For this world’s just a sham

chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
Seeking every answer

bridge
Beauty from sacrifice
Pain from pleasure
Beat me to euphoria
Under endless measure

chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
Seeking every answer

outro
Do not think that giving in means
That you’re immune to all heartache
Prey for nothing in this world
For this world’s just a sham

Here's a little backstory to this lyric everyone:

Grey hates religion. Simple, no?

"But Greyfox," the audience says to me, "aren't you religious now?"

Maybe you think I'm religious, but I say otherwise. I don't think of Christianity as a religion. Religion to me is a negative word, saying that worshipping a higher power is a chore to you. Religion is a club that only the elite members can perfect. Christianity, real Christianity is nothing of the sorts. Nothing angers me more than seeing ordinary people turn to God only when they want something done to benefit themselves.

People--get over yourselves. God has a plan for each and every one of you. You may not like it, you may not want it--but do you even know what you want? Sure, maybe you think you want something now, but what about ten years from now? Will you want that two-seater then?, when you have a wife and ten kids? I much doubt it.

God is not there to grant favors for people.
