    BEAT ME TO EUPHORIA

    chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
    Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
    Seeking every answer

    verse one
    Pack up all your things
    For you’re not going anywhere
Look to the skies for familiarity
    But familiarity never comes here

    chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
    Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
    Seeking every answer

    verse two
    Pray for good health
But do not make any demands
Pray for pain and sacrifice, not here
For this world’s just a sham

    chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
    Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
    Seeking every answer

    bridge
    Beauty from sacrifice
    Pain from pleasure
    Beat me to euphoria
    Under endless measure

    chorus
Hearts do not bleed for those in need
    Looking for a shallow mind
Hearts do not bleed for those with creed
    Seeking every answer

    outro
Do not think that giving in means
That you’re immune to all heartache
Prey for nothing in this world
For this world’s just a sham

Here's a little backstory to this lyric everyone:

    Grey hates religion. Simple, no?

"But Greyfox," the audience says to me, "aren't you religious now?"

Maybe you think I'm religious, but I say otherwise. I don't think of Christianity as a religion. Religion to me is a negative word, saying that worshipping a higher power is a chore to you. Religion is a club that only the elite members can perfect. Christianity, real Christianity is nothing of the sorts. Nothing angers me more than seeing ordinary people turn to God only when they want something done to benefit themselves.

People--get over yourselves. God has a plan for each and every one of you. You may not like it, you may not want it--but do you even know what you want? Sure, maybe you think you want something now, but what about ten years from now? Will you want that two-seater then?, when you have a wife and ten kids? I much doubt it.

God is not there to grant favors for people.

Hey, here's a festive poem concerning an innocent little Pichu - it's not poetically great but it's a light hearted laughable poem....i hope. Enjoy!

    There was a young Pichu,
    That lived in a house,
With his mum and his dad,
    And his big sister mouse.

    On one Xmas Eve,
When to bed he was sent,
He snunk out of his room,
    Through a cliché air vent.

    He crawled along through it,
Til he got to the spot,
    Where Santa would visit,
And leave gifts for the tot.

    At midnight he came,
With a crash and a bang,
With a big pile of boxes,
    And a lovely Jynx gang.

As the Jynx and the Big Guy,
Left the gifts 'neath the tree,
    They laughed and they chuckled,
    And giggled with glee.

    With all the commotion,
    A Jynx knocked a can,
    It spilled pepper on Pichu,
    And scuppered his plan.

With a squeal he fell out,
    And dropped onto his tail,
    Santa looked shocked,
    The Jynxs went pale.

Up Pichu's nose went the pepper,
And he sneezed with a cry,
    That sent 10,000 volts,
Through the Jynx and the Big Guy.

    As Santa collapsed,
With a Ho, Ho and Ho,
    Pichu looked at the scene,
    And simply said "Wow".

With some help from a Natu,
    The family pet,
    He teleported the injured,
    To Chansey the vet.

    She fixed them all up,
    With a bandage and Ether,
    And told dear old Santa,
    to pull himself together.

    So with Natu's help,
They went back to his house,
    Where Santa said bye-bye,
    To the young yellow mouse.

With a whoosh and a heave,
He went off in his sleigh,
    To deliver his presents,
    Before Xmas Day.

    And asleep in his bed,
    Was a shocking young tot,
    Who fell back to sleep,
    And this adventure forgot.

    Happy christmas!

Watch out for my new fanfic - Changing times

hee hee my stuff isnt' so festive. My "piece of work" is basically a song I wrote kinda about what I'm going through. But I'm trying to make my work "connect" with other people, so that they can relate to it. I think that is one thing that really makes a song good , if you can relate to it. So please let me know if you can or not. I'm not sure.

    carry the cross

    These hands are bleeding
The load is getting heavier with each step
Oh they are ever so tired
    These tears are falling
Tried to make them stop but they dont listen
from my soul they've been cried out
    These feet are hurting
Each time they walk forward they throb and ache
Where are the reasons for me to doubt?

This is my path That I advance on
This is my cross That I am hung on
The world below The heavens above
My suffering is all for his love
    This is my path
    This is my cross
    There is gain
    Through the loss

    This heart is breaking
They tear me with the words they are saying
Does their concience ever tell them
    These eyes are closing
The lids are heavy and tired of being open
    Please let me escape
    These fingers quiver
Do they shake because of the fear in me
Where are my reasons for being scared?

This is my path That I advance on
This is my cross That I am hung on
The world below The heavens above
My suffering is all for his love
    This is my path
    This is my cross
    There is gain
    Through the loss

I cannot hold out my flesh is so weak
My knees will buckle my spirit seeks
Im loosing grip I cant hold on
I feel Im slipping your hand has gone
    Please return please comfort me
Please return dont leave me alone here

This is a path that has already been walked on
This is a croos that has already been hung on
This is the part I would never leave you
My child, I've been there too..

This is my path that I advance on
This is my cross that i am hung on
The world below the heavens above
His suffering was all out of love
    This is my path
    This is my cross
    My suffering is gain
    out of loss
    I will carry the cross

    Mother
    Mother

stories of how you tried to save yourself
you raised your children, and you let them go
to see the world without you
tears of something, joy or sorrow

i cannot count how many times i’ve fallen
and you’ve been there to bring me back
i cannot possibly tell you how many times
that i’ve disappointed you, i lack

you’ve always been there, even when i wasn’t
    you’ve always cheered me on
even when you knew i’d fail
you’ve never kept me away from the sun

i’m sorry for all the things i’ve not done
i’m sorry for all the things i’ve put you though
my only gift to you is this lyric
but i know that you’ll say, “it’ll do”

... and now one not so ****ing serious...

    Stoned All the Time
I got melons on my mind, spitting seeds a waste of time
And I know it’s damn sublime
    And I love it

Bananas dancing in my head, shot by the apple, now it’s dead
It collapsed and then it bled
    And I ate it

Roaches crawling, cannot find, some people say there’s a thin line
    From losing your ****ing mind
    And being a pothead

Oh I think I smoked a joint about an hour ago
And I think I toked some hash, but I’ll never know
And I think I doped some coke, or maybe popped an E
You just never ****ing know when you’re me

Because I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
I don’t need to smoke a joint, I’m already flying like a kite
I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
I think I’m going to lose my mind

    Oh, I got a hedgehog that won’t leave, a baby I can’t conceive
And my brain’s on temporary leave
    And I don’t care

There’s a white bunny hopping along, he wears jeans and sings a song
About the time my big old dong
    Attacked Tokyo

It has become my greatest fear, so won’t you lend an ear
‘Cause it’s time to grow a beard
    It’s beard time

Oh I think I smoked a joint about an hour ago
And I think I ate some Shrooms, but I’ll never know
I might’ve doped some coke, or maybe popped an E
You just never ****ing know when you’re me

Because I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
I don’t need to smoke a joint, I’m already flying like a kite
I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
    Happily losing my mind

Fish are swimming there, in fashionable underwear
    And I’m a little scared
    But that’s okay

Eyes they watch me all the time, while I sing and while I rhyme
    And I think I spent a dime
    On a nickel

Nail clippers are quite mean, the impervious is green
I don’t know just what that means
    Because I made it up

Oh I think I smoked a joint about an hour ago
And I think I did some heroin, but I’ll never know
I might’ve doped some coke, or maybe popped an E
You just never ****ing know when you’re me

Because I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
I’m Bob Marley’s dream, the epitome of green
I’m stoned all the time, stoned all the time
Have you seen just where I put my mind?
Oh, I think I’ve gone and lost my mind

Like many others, I wrote it while I was stoned.

    Adieu,
    Zak Hunter

    This's no dreamin.
    Hear the spine tingle
    Let your blood curdle.
    just one more girdle
    to remove and conquer
another one of them, yes sir.
It's off with that and this
I smile and listen to that joyous hiss.

    Does it make you sad?
    miss what you had?
    For brother,this is fun.
    That's not 'nother con
    of mine. That last brassiere
is stripped, and one more leer
your way. Oh won't you stay.
All gay in this month of may.

    ~~

MWUAHAHA I bet nobody will even understand the real purpose of this song. if you do. Have you been reading my mind.

Well, I'm back in business with a new poem that I wrote.

It's a bit of a release for my anger with religious folks who are so interested in heaven/vulhulla/whatever they forget we have a life to go through first and just generally disrespect others beliefs.

    Time to Die
A message I tried to give people

We are all going to die someday
Don't try or think about an escape
Theres nothing to do, forget to pray

Someday we all fly away to death
Happy wings of our lifetime carry us
As we float from lifes final breath

    Time was invented by people
But 10 or 80 years is the same
Evading death is for the feeble

Don't waste your time on a next life
Try to help us all cure the world
    Of hunger pain and strife

    But they never listened
One more round; one more low.

    i packed all my bags
i laid them to the side
they would not come with me this time
they would not join me on this ride

i found myself in a euphoria
    only dreams could challenge
lost in a sea of ambrosia
    that only you could send

thank-you, my love, for keeping me here
    thank-you so much more
my heart does not bleed but for you
you’re the only that i cannot abhor

i separated myself from my sins
they cannot bring me the ecstasy
that you yourself could give me
i separated myself from my agony

    http://onfinite.com/libraries/280805/29a.jpg

scars that no one else can see
pain that no one can comprehend
that was what this day was for
that was what was compromised for us
i welcome you to the fight against yesterday
i invite you to fight against your lies
pain is temporary, but loss is forever
do not allow for your wants to overwhelm you
    good things happen from brokenness
good things happen from just one

    http://onfinite.com/libraries/280806/d4e.jpg

i met you that day, that cold dark day
we fell victim to the negativity in our hearts
    i fell for you
but you didn’t know my name
    you fell for me
but your heart never would beat
now the days would grow longer
    and we’d romance with others
    but none would suffice
we chauffer ourselves to society’s regard
we replace what we want for the others
i promised you white rice, but you never saw it

    Life is Fucked
I once said life was good
I was thinking only of me
Then I realised a sad truth
    We all hate this reality

    We live to fight ourselves
    Die from self destruction
But we can't live without it
    We all avoid construction

    We aren't afraid of dying
All we truly fear these days
    Is no longer being alive
    To witness the worlds ways.
One more round; one more low.

Emptiness and heartbeat create a solitary echo
    That ripples between mood swings.
The force of the ocean roars on
Like a starry field drowning in flame.

The moonbeam in my pocket shines
    Through darkest plagues attacking me.
A shadow in the corners lurks
But I will not be afraid.

I have the power within me to destroy
    And to recreate my world.
I can shatter every dream with two words
And the blade in my right hand.

The secrets of my silent suicide
    Are severed by the echolalia
The ocean provides, walking on the shores
And watching raindrops plummet to the earth.

    Sailing across the smallest waves,
My shoes are soaked with saltine ocean spray.
Kicking a small pebble to the side,
I thought I saw it skip a couple times.

The misery I felt within myself,
    I selfishly burdened you with.
Your shoulders are heavy bearing my weight,
I long to ask you to put me down.

Trying to reject my heavy feelings,
And the constant tempest of energy,
The lies and deceits failed, and I
    Continued returning for the attention.

Unaware that you were against me
In spirit, I returned for more transgressions,
Until the day you finally revealed
Your harbored hate for everything I've done.

Alone in heartbreak I walk across the shore,
Caressing the spirit in my pocket.
The choice of whether to live or die
    Rests in one quick movement.

All respect I had for this world is gone,
And the feelings I had for it have disappeared.
The light in my eyes has gone out,
And so I shatter, bidding you farewell.

The water seeps in every single pore,
Absorbing me and slipping me away
I feel the crashing waves attack my flesh,
And felt myself escape, and felt no more.

    Lucid Dreaming

They say all of the stars have faded away
All the blue skies are declining to gray
    Moping around the world today
Feeling emotions, now none but decay

    Eaten from the inside out
Alone and down, and without a doubt
I’m better than this disease, and although I do hide
There’s sometimes in life when I’d rather die

Depression, decline—why do I feel this way?
I’ve got no reason to feel this today
It sweeps like a sickness, it breathes like the wind
And sooner than later I’m dying within

Eating my heart out, I’m crying inside
These words sung, not spoken, are starting to die
And dreams that aren’t broken, few remain here
Just another junkie with nothing to fear

But I’ve got emotions, I’ve got a life
I’ve got a reason to be singing tonight
So, writing these lyrics, scrawled on my skin
To remind me of sadness, to let pain begin

So eat me alive, so eat me tonight
Eat my damn heart out, eat my insides
I’m dreaming about oceans, I’m dreaming the view
But I’m dreaming hand-in-hand, I’m dreaming ‘bout you

    Adieu,
    Zak Hunter

Very controversial-- it's a song we're going to perform on stage next friday at our school for battle of the bands. I plan that we'll probably get in big shit. It's fun because I get to wear a Jesus costume on stage, and underneath it I've got my hair in a comb-over, a little Hitler mustache drawn on and one of those old Nazi soldier uniforms complete with swastika. I'll end up tearing off the Jesus costume halfway through.

Since it's a song, it's not really done its justice unless you hear it-- but here are the lyrics regardless.

    Adolf Christ
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior?
I say—have you accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior?
    (Uh-huh)
Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your lord and savior?
    (Uh-huh)
Then let me hear you say amen!
    (Amen)

Oh, we’ve got a guy way up in the sky
And he knows how to lie—knows how to deceive
He’s got a book, so why don’t you take a look?
It’ll leave you shook, he’s forcing you to believe

Oh Jesus Christ, he’s in the light
He’s watching you tonight—and every single day
He looks way down, from his puffy clouds
And he counts the hours as he searches to condemn gays

    Have you accepted Jesus? (Uh-huh)
    Have you accepted Christ? (Uh-huh)
Have you accepted the reason why you’ll never sleep at night
    Have you accepted Jesus? (Uh-huh)
    Have you accepted Christ? (Uh-huh)
Have you accepted the reason why you’ll never sleep at night

    Breathe, believe, condemn and deceive
He’s got another body—got it wrapped behind his sleeves
So take off that beard, take off that long hair
Like a department store Santa Claus, none of it is real

Take off them damn robes, hold ‘em up to see
There’s a significant fighter of the Nazi regime
Behind the beard and hair we’ve got,
A stash that’s a little square and thin
And a comb-over that’d kill the fucking veterans

Arm stretched out to meet the sky, an evil wink within his eye
Swastika band around his sleeve, he’s the one that made you believe
Have you accepted Adolf Hitler as your lord and savior?
    (Uh-huh)
Have you accepted Hitler; let me hear you scream amen!
    (Amen)

Arm stretched out to meet the sky, an evil wink within his eye
Swastika band around his sleeve, he’s the one that made you believe
What’s the difference, eye-to-eye, one’s underground and one in the sky
But both they lead, and both deceive—and both lead groups of people to believe

    Have you accepted Jesus? (Uh-huh)
    Have you accepted Hitler? (Uh-huh)
Oh let me hear you say amen! (Amen)
Let me hear you scream amen! (Amen!)

Bury me alive, oh, bury me alive
Bury me with Hitler—instead of in the sky
Both they lead the wrong, both they sing this song
I’d rather be with someone that I knew was really alive

Have you accepted the Nazi regime?
Have you accepted you see what can’t be seen?
Have you accepted the Nazi regime?
Thrust your arm into the sky and let me hear you scream
    (Amen)

It's a very cynical take on religion, and you didn't even get further than mentioning gays. My favorite line is the one about not sleeping at night. You do a good job comparing the extremists' scapegoat (Jesus Christ) to Adolf Hitler.

You're right, this will piss a lot of people off. I wonder if any of them will actually stop and think?

It's also a very biased take on religion-- and I figured I wouldn't delve into talking too much about contradictions, or gays or anything, as that would get boring and be more of a poem, not a song.

Nah, none of them will stop to think. I'm pondering what the punishment will be, if there is one, it'll all be worth it.

    Adieu,

Well... I like you tainted. But there are good reasons why I didnt particularily like that song. However I do think it would have a catchy tune.

    -.-

anyway here's something weird fo mine:

the knot inside my body somewhere
    is hiding from location
i feel it above my stomach and
    right beneath the ribcages
but this knot does not give me pain
or make me wish it gone
this knot i think is telling me
what has been there all along

perhaps i have lied to you
    and to everybody else
    perhaps for these passing years
    ive been lying to myself
i rest assured it was done
    and kept on living life
i got a job, and studied hard
    and dated other guys

assuming i had a friend who was
    closer than a brother
why then do i doubt myself when
    i tell myself theres others
i dont want to say it all
im scared that it is true
the last thing we need to hear
is that im falling in love with you

Awe, that was a cute one. I'm such a sucker for love like poems

Well this one is about my friend which is different for me cause I never written a song about anyone else. A new thing for me.

    Should have said something
Should have done more to help
Didn't do enough to save you
Why did you pick this night?
    Why wasn’t things right
    Could have came to me
You know I’m always here to see
Why didn’t you take the offer?
Did you even think or bother?

Just watching you cry was so hard to see
    Didn’t like watching you endlessly
So much pain in your soul
To bad life isn’t something to control
Cause by the way you were crying so hard
I just knew I had to help pick you back up
    What happened to that girl?

I can see your hands shaking
And I know your not faking
    Your body starts to tremble
As the world starts to crumble
    You just can’t take it
    You just can’t fake it
    Anymore of these inner lies
Can you see the screams in her eyes?

Just watching you cry was so hard to see
    Didn’t like watching you endlessly
So much pain in your soul
To bad life isn’t something to control
Cause by the way you were crying so hard
I just knew I had to help pick you back up
    What happened to that girl?

    And she flies
    Socked up on highs
    She's running away
    Hating today
    Seeking tomorrow
    To take her sorrows
    She asks why
    Stay or die

Just watching you cry was so hard to see
    Didn’t like watching you endlessly
So much pain in your soul
To bad life isn’t something to control
Cause by the way you were crying so hard
I just knew I had to help pick you back up
    What happened to that girl?

Looking over the previous works, I must give kudos to Miss PancaKe for a very nice piece of literature...

    Here's one for the scrapbook...

    Please Don't Look at Me
tear-stained cheeks and a back turned
please point that camera away from me
i'm not willing to drop the luggage
the luggage that brings me down

    please don't look at me
tear-stained cheeks and a back turned
    i've double crossed you, sir
    i cannot possibly be forgiven
i have no place in your kingdom
    please don't look at me
tear-stained cheeks and a back turned
i watched you die, i killed you myself
i had the nails, i had the cross
why do you keep staring at me?
    please don't look at me
tear-stained cheeks and a back turned
    please don't look at me
tear-stained cheeks and a back turned
can i ever let this go

tear-stained cheecks and a back turned
    please don't look at me

Thanks Arbitar ^.^;; awww somebody with good poemz tinks mine r good ^.^;; thats so cool.

Anyway here's something of mine, not so good but *shrugs*:

    I cry, I cry, I cry
to see you cry, you cry, you cry
Your tears are falling down your face
I see the streaks they leave, they make
I watch you crying in the morning light
I heard your anguish through the night
I know this pain deep inside
(I have an idea why you cry)

    Promises, meaningless, empty
Deaf ears, can hear your screaming
Your soul it sounds out what hurts
    Open wounds blood stained tshirts
Reach out to try take your hand
Ive been there I know understand
Yourself there must be too much demand
    (Asking too much in commands)

    .. ~fin for now~

    Likewise.

Meanwhile, I have managed to find a whole slew of files uploaded on Fictionpress.com (an old affiliate of Fanfiction.net) from when I was seventeen and agnostic. Awesome! Entitled: Requiem (Songs From an Unknown). I'm only posting the first four tracks, mainly because I'm too tired and lazy to post the entire nineteen-entry catalog. However, if you want to see the rest, just look them up at Fictionpress.com under the moniker "The End of Ages". Special note though; the song Ego is the first lyric I've ever written. Enjoy...

    ABYSS

    verse one
deep into the darkness, you see yourself
    dying a little each day
    you cannot stand the world
a world where no ones' opinions truly matter
a world where the popularity of one thing defines it
rather than it's own strengths and weaknesses

    chorus
you cast upon the blaze before you
    giving your regards
you toss aside thie things you wish to change
    into the abyss
    verse two
deep into the dying light, you watch what is left
    everything falls never into place
every day you find yourself face down on the floor
wishing you could do more to save the world of which you live
give it hope, give it life
because the life it leads now is dead, dead to you
    chorus
you cast upon the blaze before you
    giving your regards
you toss aside thie things you wish to change
    into the abyss

    interlude
    verse three
deep into the darkened sky, you see a bitter nothing
all life is burried in the tormenting hell
as you wander aimlessly, looking for an answer
you continue to die a little inside
giving up your own life for the sake of others
    chorus
you cast upon the blaze before you
    giving your regards
you toss aside thie things you wish to change
    into the abyss

    bridge
you give up what you can
so that you can save those who stand before you
    your peers
    uknown to the tragedy
    that is the abyss

    EGO

    verse one
You refuse to believe that you're nothing but the best
You cannot let your confidence go to rest
You are confused, why does no one feel the same
Where's your fame? Why are you being put to shame?
The questions boggle your mind every day
Questions that cannot be answered in any way
Is it true? Are you really as good as you say you are?
Or is it your own ego that makes you believe that you'll go far?
These are the questions that you must face
Like it or not, they put you to disgrace
    chorus
Are you cool, or are you denied?
Are you afraid of the truth or do you want a lie?
Can't you see that your ego is controlling you?
Or do you choose to refuse to believe that you're nothing but the best?
    verse two
You think people look up to your talents
Those who don't are just jealous of your abilities are not absent
You want to believe that you're nothing but the best
Those who oppose should die like the rest
Your ego is putting your name to shame
But you don't care, because you're not to blame
You can't let anyone fool you - you are the greatest
You can't let them hurt you with their disgust
These are the questions that you must face
Like it or not, they put you to disgrace
    chorus
Are you cool, or are you denied?
Are you afraid of the truth or do you want a lie?
Can't you see that your ego is controlling you?
Or do you choose to refuse to believe that you're nothing but the best?
    interlude
    verse three
Even at their best, no one can compete
Your life is made so no one can have you beat
You want to believe that you can run rings around the competition
But if you see it their way, they have the right definition
You're nothing but an arrogant fool
You think you can do anything and rule
There is nothing you can't take
There is nothing you can't make
But one of these days you'll be proven wrong
And your own glory won't last long
    chorus
Are you cool or are you denied?
Are you afraid of the truth or do you want a lie?
Can't you see that your ego is controlling you?
Or do you choose to refuse to believe that you're nothing but the best?
    bridge
Let your ego die my friend
    You're not a godsend
You can't do anything about it
The only thing left is to accept it
    You're not a godsend

    UNTITLED

    verse one
watching through the shattered shards of glass
you look for yourself, for an answer
you ask yourself for help, but you gently pass
to help no one, not even yourself
    chorus
finally looking for the lights of your gift
you can see through the chambers
    that grant you lift
and guide you through the darkness
you look for sky, but you find nothingness
    you puzzle yourself further
    and find no less
    no less
    verse two
stranded in the darkness, destined for
    nothing that you can't
abhor, nothing that you can't look for-
    ward to
    chorus
finally looking for the lights of your gift
you can see through the chambers
    that grant you lift
and guide you through the darkness
you look for sky, but you find nothingness
    you puzzle yourself further
    and find no less
    no less
    verse three
guarding yourself, taking through the depths
    of the bitter nothing
    wishing not to be left
    behind
    chorus
finally looking for the lights of your gift
you can see through the chambers
    that grant you lift
and guide you through the darkness
you look for sky, but you find nothingness
    you puzzle yourself further
    and find no less
    no less
    verse four
    looking for an answer
    and trying to cure
    for the absurd
    and the impossible
    the impossible
    the impossible
    interlude
    verse five
looking through the shards of glass
    through the last
    of the impossible to thee
    looking through the parting souls
    mocking the fools
    it's the impossible
    bridge
finally looking for the lights of your gift
you can see through the chambers
you guide yourself through the shift
    of eternal darkness
and you find that it's just too impossible
    to be possible

    WELCOME TO...

    verse one
one day, maybe, i'll be consumed by fear
the road i travel, often never clear
i've seen the day, amongst ourselves
they voyage i often look upon outsells
    victory chosen over defeat
    our memories end in delete
    chorus
    this is your final heaven
    you lack the dying eyes
    fortunate for your own entrapment
wait for thou to die ...
    verse two
one day, maybe, i'll find the light
found often without struggle or fight
i've been dealt with death, often fade
in the midst, the last was made
    victory chosen over defeat
our memories end by our feet
    chorus
    this is your final heaven
    you lack the dying eyes
    fortunate for your own entrapment
wait for thou to die ...
    interlude
    chorus
    this is your final heaven
    you lack the dying eyes
    fortunate for your own entrapment
wait for thou to die ...
    bridge
find your shallow darkness in the gentle mist
you'll often struggle avoiding the fists
    of fate and betrayal
    often like a staple
    victory chosen over defeat
those who make it are truly elite

    The Mercy River

    I'm going down,
Going down to the mercy river,
No more fear where I'm going,
    I'm going to the river,
No more weight upon my shoulders,
No more burden on my back,
    I'm going down, down, down,
I'm going down to that old mercy river,
    Where the fish swim freely,
And the water flows calm and clear,
There's no need to worry about anything,
    Because I'm going down,
Going down to the mercy river.
