Jelibean Man, just an FYI, Torchic doesn't have access to Flame Body as an Ability. Either Blaze or Speed Boost are your options. I'm assuming you're a previous ASBer who left and then just came back now?

Apologies for the lateness with this, been having a hellacious two days with no sleep since I had to get my project work completed. But now that that's all finished, let the reffing frenzy commence!

    -=- Round 1 -=-

Welcome ladies and gents to another round of baffling battlers! We have with us two old-schoolers that have come back from a long hiatus CutesiePie and jelibean man! CutsiePie giggles as she thinks to herself and sends out a bushel-filled monkey! It howls in anticipation of battle! jelibean man smirks and counters her first Pokemon by sending out a fiery chick who chirps in response. Well that was certainly intimidating. Let's get set for some good ol' fun!

Pansage starts off the round by picking out some dark seeds from his head (wow, seriously gross) and throws them straight at Torchic. In retaliation, Torchic releases a vortex of flame that incinerates the seeds and engulfs Pansage in a fiery tornado!

    : -0% health, -5% energy
    : -5% health, -4% energy

The round continues as Pansage tries a way to try to get out from the fire vortex. He proceeds to form a glowing green seed and throw it against the flames but to no avail, as it also gets burned up in the flames. Torchic continues his fiery assault by shooting out small fireballs at the flaming tornado which slightly intensifies as it continues to burn up the verdure primate.

    : -0% health, -4% energy
    : -6% health, -7% energy

The battle continues as Pansage continues to try and find a way out of the blazing windtunnel. The tip of his head glows a bright green as a beam shoots out from it and past the vortex and latches onto Torchic, siphoning his health and healing Pansage a bit. Torchic continues to feed the flames by blowing out more small fireballs, increasing the intensity of the flames once more!

    -=- Round 2 -=-

The crazy antics continue as the two rivals' Pokemon continue to duke it out in Round 2.

Apparently the fire tornado doesn't deter Pansage from breaking out in song as he begins to sing a fairly familiar and annoying tune. Torchic seems like he's not moving, maybe it conked him out..oh no wait that's not the REAL Torchic, looks like he managed to dupe the grassy primate once again! Pansage instead feels the sting of the flames whipping around him

    : -10% health (+10% HP Sub], -5% energy
    : -3% health, -4% energy

Peeved that Torchic managed to evade his last move, Pansage tries to concoct a torturous way to get rid of the fire chick. Why not try poisoning him? As such, he hawks a bit (wow that's gross) and fire off a glob of noxious goop that manages to hit the Substitute instead of Torchic itself. Aghast that Pansage would disrespect his work of art, Torchic proceeds to blow out a stream of flames that engulf and burn up the bushel simian badly. Fortunately, the inferno vortex finally manages to dissipate, freeing him from his fiery cell.

    : -0% health, (+10% HP Sub) -7% energy
    : -16% health, -4% energy

Suffering from the assault but relieved to be free from the flames, Pansage decides to go for another direct assault at Torchic. He forms a silvery orb between his hands that eventually turns into a huge-sized boulder. Launching it, the boulder splits into many fragments that surround Torchic's Substitute and compress down onto it. Torchic counters with his body glowing with fiery red energy as he charges forward at Pansage and tackles into him, leaving a trail of flames behind him. As a result, Torchic seems to feel faster from the attack.

    -=- Round 3 -=-

The battle rages forth between these fierce competitors, as Round 3 gets started.

Torchic decides that stopping Pansage in its tracks once more is the best way to go and proceeds to shoot out another vortex of flames. The shifty simian decides that being trapped by flames a second time is a big no-no and proceeds to quickly dug under into the frozen ground, just narrowly avoiding the fiery tornado.

    : -0% health, -5% energy
    : -0% health, -4% energy

The fire chick looks around confuzzled. Where the deuce has that plant primate gone too? Suddenly the ground below him begins to rumble and an "Oh shit..." look appears on his face. Pansage shoots out from the ground and wallops his target, but Torchic manages to bring out his Sub to take the attack for him, which shatters in the process. Torchic counters by unleashing another stream of flames, which deal a great amount of damage to Pansage.

    : -0% health, (Sub Broken) -7% energy
    : -16% health, -4% energy

Feeling vulnerable from his made up clone being destroyed, Torchic quickly runs about and gathers up some more materials to create another suitable decoy, giving it a portion of his life force to bring it to life once again. Pansage notices Torchic's actions and decides to absorb the sun's energy to regain some necessary health.

    -=- Round 4 -=-

The madness goes into overdrive as the two combatants get set for another round of crazy antics!

Pansage starts off by form a silvery orb between his hands that eventually turns into a huge-sized boulder. Launching it, the boulder splits into many fragments that surround Torchic's Substitute and compress down onto it. Torchic jumps out from behind his copy and launches forth another vortex of flames that engulf the herbal simian.

    : -0% health, (-6% HP Sub) -5% energy
    : -5% health, -7% energy

Trapped once more in familiar settings, Pansage tries to get past the wall of flames by sending forth a bright green beam to leech off some health from Torchic, but the clever chick manages to throw his copycat in the line of fire, which doesn't help to really do much to restore Pansage's health, but finally destroys the Sub so it won't be a nuisance anymore. Seeing his body double explode, Torchic feels a bit nauseous at seeing fake body parts blowing all over the place and vomits out a noxious glob at Pansage. Luckily for him, the same fire prison of his manages to burn up the poison before even reaching him. However, Pansage is not so lucky to be spared of the flames either.

    : -0% health, (-5% HP Sub *Destroyed*) -4% energy
    : -3% health, -6% energy

Pansage decides to push through the storm of flames by forming another grey boulder and sends it flying out through the flame wall before breaking into fragments and slamming into Torchic's dou--no wait, we have an actually direct hit on the bird this time! The rocks manage to weigh down the fire chick and restrict his increased speed advantage from before but he nevertheless manages to blow out another stream of flames that increase the potency of the fiery tornado and do solid damage to Pansage and manages to set his head on fire as well!

    -=- Round 5 -=-

Torchic continues to avoid direct combat by piecing together more leaves and branches and giving more of its life force into it. You'd think by now Pansage would be able to differentiate the real thing from the faux body but nope, he sends out a glowing bright green appendage at the pseudo body, draining it of its stored lifeforce, but unable to recover any his own health.

    : -10% health, (+10% health Sub, -5% health Sub) -5% energy
    : -0% health, -6% energy

Torchic sees his fake body is still in one piece from that assault and decides to try and end the battle in one turn itself. His body begins to glow a faint and then sudden bright orange-red color as he unleashes a glowing white-hot stream of fire at Pansage. Pansage looks on terror and tries to summon up some stones to try and prevent the attack but the white-hot flames completely envelop him in entirety. The previously summoned rocks manage to follow through with its attack by moving around Torchic but the fake body moves in the way and takes the full attack head-on, disintegrating just as such. Pansage's body is suddenly enveloped by a light green energy.

: -0% health, (-6% health Sub *Sub Destroyed*) -11% energy

Despite losing his second body advantage, Torchic looks to completely burn up Pansage as he prepares another fiery attack of overwhelming power. Pansage looks to take advantage of the build-up time as he releases yet another glowing green appendage that manages to attach to the actual Torchic this time and sucks up some much needed health, though it doesn't help him as Torchic's burst of fire consumes him completely and leaves him as a fried vegetable. Too bad for Pansage.

I ref switching as only taking one action per round, so what you've had up before is perfectly fine, no need to make any changes.

Just been busy with some packing and traveling to visit relatives, will have a reffing up by sometime this morning.

CutsiePie pouts as her sage simian has been reduced to a vegetative state (pun not intended ) and thinks to herself as she recalls him. Quickly getting an idea, she releases her next Pokemon which reveals itself to be a goofy goop of an amphibian with an equally stupid grin plastered across her face.

Apparently unnerved by the new opponent, jelibean man decides to recall Torchic for later usage and sends out his second Pokemon, a green-dome headed white frilly thing that I'm surprised to find out is actually a male (maybe in disguise). Miss Bubbles decides to welcome it to the that fray by getting tribal with her dance movements and pretty soon we're sitting around getting poured on by freezing rain. Awesome.

The rainfall and chilling atmosphere seems to be apt for sleeping, which is what Ralts has in mind as well, as his eyes begin glowing light blue, releasing silhouettes out into the air and striking Miss Bubbles right in her eyes as well, which causes her to keel over and off to a wintery slumberland, as a large mucous bubble forms as she snoozes. Yummy.

Seeing as how his opponent is wide open for attack, Ralts begins his assault by spinning and twirling with his hands glowing a light green as light green-colored glowing leaves start shooting out and cut into Miss Bubbles soft skin. The goopy amphibian continues its peaceful slumber as if without a care in the world.

    -=- Round 7 -=-

And after a long hiatus, we're finally back to this battle with a sleeping mudfish and a unseeing anorexic Psychic-type. Golly what excitement!

Ralts decides to sit and contemplate the mysteries of life as she sits in a meditative position while chanting mantras to increase the serenity of her mind. However her chance for inner peace is rudely interrupted by a loud gurgling that seems to be coming from the snoozing Ms. Bubbles as her instincts cause her to throw up a light blue-colored protective barrier, even though she doesn't seem to be in any immediate danger. Should've hoped for that to pop up later I guess.

Ralts continues his mantra chants and I wonder if it'll help him get into a tantric state of mind. Wouldn't that be a sight to see. Meanwhile, Ms. Bubbles begins to snort and mumble once more and releases out a light blue beam of frozen energy that strikes Ralts directly, but his enhance mental defenses helps him shake off the damage a bit.

Having been strengthened by his bizarre chanting, Ralts begins to pirouette once more and sends out some more glowing leaves that strike Ms. Bubbles directly doing incredible damage. Ms. Bubbles snorts out once more and lets loose a loud, very un-ladylike belch as a result. Who taught this thing manners? Oh and as a result, the rain is now replaced a sudden sandstorm, go figure.

The sandstorm rages on as we get set for Round 8~

Ralts decides to continue cleansing her mind of all outside distractions to be more one with her spirit. Too bad the storm doesn't feel like helping her out as tiny pebbles lash out on her during her meditative state. The pebbles seem to also have caused a stir for Ms. Bubbles as she manages to wake up from her extra-long beauty sleep. She proceeds to yawn loudly as a bubble appears from her mouth and floats right over to Ralts and pops her on her horn. She blinks in confusion and suddenly feels a bit drowsy.

Ralts decides that its time to mess with some of Ms. Bubbles dreams...but alas, Ms. Bubbles is wide awake, rendering him unable to do anything this round. Ms. Bubbles makes use of the sitting duck of a target by summoning up a wave of water from the frozen lake and cascading it all over Ralts. However, it does a minimal of damage to the feeling Pokemon, who I'm pretty sure is feeling chilled from that ice-water bath. Oh and there's the sandstorm there that's not making things any easier for Ralts. And despite the ice bath and the storm, Ralts still manages to slump over from sleepiness.
