Ayeun begins with La Bella - Milotic (f) Marvel Scale
Oslo begins with Dopey McSamuraitail - Slowking (f) Own Tempo

Ayeun is Heads - Oslo is Tails

Best of three.. flip, flip, flip... Heads, tails, heads.
Ayeun attacks first, Oslo attacks second.

Hrm... Confuse Ray against an Own Tempo Pokemon and Iron Tail against a Water-type. You're in for an easy round, Dopey.

Begin with Yawn. Since that will activate Marvel Scale when Sleep eventually takes effect and raise la Bella's Defence, you'll have to be a Special Attacker. Thus, follow with Nasty Plot and Psychic.

This day in Indigo Stadium we prepare ourselves for a blind battle. Two combatants submit their pokemon to the referee, oblivious to what their opponent is choosing, with only a coin toss to decide who should attack first. This could make a difference to the whole battle. Ayeun stands ready as her Milotic, La Bella, gracefully appears in the field. Oslo crosses his arms and nods to himself, just as his own water type, Dopey McSamurai the Slowking is called out. The coin toss turns to Ayeun for the first commands, and the battle is quickly underway.

    ROUND ONE

La Bella starts by unleashing a brilliant beam, that fills Dopey's eyes with bright flashing lights of a variety of colours. Normally such an attack would leave the reciprient dazed and confused, but Dopey McSamurai's tempo isn't thrown, and she simply blinks it off. Instead of retaliating directly, the slow pokemon takes a big, long yawn, the kind that makes everyone else yawn too. In fact it does just that, with not just members of the audience rubbing their eyes and wanting to go to bed, but La Bella apes the jaw stretching yawn herself, and feels a little too drowsy from it.

    Dopey McS. HP(-0) PP(-5)
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-5) ~ Drowsy

Dopey dips her head and smiles to herself. So far things are going well, but with a bit more scheming.. yes.. oh things could go so very well indeed. Whilst making nasty plots and dirty plans , she snickers to herself and fails to notice La Bella getting closer. The Milotic swings her tail around, strengthening it with a metallic aura as she slams the fins into the side of Dopey's head. Her shellder crown rattles and her plotting is thrown off as she stumbles away form the blow. La Bella smiles contentedly, before closing her eyes and slipping off to dream land. As she does so, her scales glimmer and harden over.

    Dopey McS. HP(-9) PP(-8) ~ SAtk(+2)
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-4) ~ Dfc(+2) ~ Sleeping

Trapped in a deam state, La Bella can't recall her commands, she's far too busy living the life of an opera singer in Italy, serenading the masses with her beautiful songs. Ah to be asleep. Dopey peers at the pokemon who is quietly mumbling.. or maybe she's singing.. in her sleep. The Slowking; or should we say Slowqueen; closes her eyes before unleashing a powerful psychic attack on her enemy, invading La Bella's mind and putting pressure on the vital parts, making the dream feel fade as the Milotic cringes from the pain.

    ROUND TWO

A sleeping La Bella makes a gentle noise as she dreams of a life beneath the ocean, signing and dancing with the sealife. Under the sea, under the sea.. darling it's better, down where it's wetter... Then, very unladylike she lefts out a loud grunting snort that rolls across the arena and rumbles into Dopey. She shakes her arms in horror in a useless attempt to knock the attack away, but fails miserably. Instead she summons calm, and surrounds herself in a veil of light, protecting her body and mind from any future problems.

    Dopey McS. HP(-3) PP(-6) ~ Safeguard
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-1)

Dopey silently creeps over to La Bella, her quiet footsteps muffled as she tip toes over. She reaches up to her head just as the Milotic lets out another powerful snort. It's deafening for Dopey, who is right next to La Bella's open mouth. Eww, Sardine breath. Dopey places a single finger on each side of La Bella's head and closes her eyes. She is in the dream with La Bella. There's a band playing? Dopey begins to sing along as she steals the dream from La Bella. The crowd watch in confusion as La Bella and Dopey seem to be dueting (albeit badly) on a Disney hit. While we devotin', full time to floatin', under the sea. Dopey doesn't really have the voice for singing, and La Bella wakes up. Her marvellous scales shimmer and her defence is dampened.

    Dopey McS. HP(-3) PP(-5) ~ HP(+13)
    La Bella HP(-13) PP(-1) ~ Dfc(-2)

Dopey McSamuraitail, startled by her foe waking suddenly backs off, but uses her psychic powers to yank a knotted vine out of the ground. The grass ropes itself around La Bella's body pulling her down to the ground, but La Bella is having none of it. She wriggles free from the knot and exhales a billowing cloud of blue and white gas and light, that crackles with an ancient and unseen force. The blast his Dopey, sending lightning crackling over her body. If it weren't for the safeguard put in place, that could have ended up a lot worse.

    ROUND THREE

Dopey scratches her head just beneath her skull. yes.. yes that would be.. oh that would be a good idea. She's plotting something nasty again, planning on something big to take down her foe. La Bella is not please, and she takes out her frustrations in a scathing and brutal attack, whipping Dopey up in the wir with her tail, then hitting her down again, slamming the pink pokemon into the ground with great force. Dopey rolls onto her side, head pounding so badly it feels like a Snorlax just sat on her.

    Dopey McS. HP(-8) PP(-8) ~ S.Atk(+2)
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-4)

Never the less, Dopey gets back on her feet and stares down La Bella. The serpentine pokemon rears her head and lets loose a powerful pulse of energy, that slams into Dopey instilling a feeling of ancient and draconic fear in her. The Slowking takes it in her stride, and focuses a ball of raging hot energy between her hands. Lifting the ball up she aims it towards La Bella, and lets the maelstrom of hyper agitated energy burst out in something of a beam shape. The hyper energy blasts into La Bella, scorching her with its ferocity and throwing her into the crowd with its force.

    Dopey McS. HP(-10) PP(-15)
    La Bella HP(-24) PP(-5)

Lab Bella lifts her head up, wide eyed and reeling from the attack. Did someone get the number on that truck? Yowz! She apologises to the three people who didn't get out of the way before being landed on, and slithered back to the arena. She circles around Dopey, who can barely follow her due to exhaustion of using the powerful attack. Getting behind Dopey before the psychic type can turn and face her, La Bella lets loose another Dragon Pulse, knocking Dopey over onto the front, leaving the pokemon to lie on the floor, still too tired to get back up. Embarrassing.

    ROUND FOUR

Dopey takes a deep breath and rights herself up, before summoning a screen of glittering gold light, that stands between her and La Bella. Ready to absorb any special attack that is thrown at her, the screen provides no protection whatsoever, when La Bella launches her entire body at the Slowking. Radiating chaotic energy, her eyes ablaze with fury, the very impact of the attack sends Dopey crashing into the wall of the arena. The energy around La Bella dissipates and she is left breathing heavily her mind and body aching from the stress of the attack.

    Dopey McS. HP(-20) PP(-6)
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-15)

Pulling herself out of the wall, Dopey wobbles across the arena, circling around La Bella, eyeing her cautiously as she slowly recovers her strength. Sensing weakness in both her body and mind, Dopey reaches out with her psychic abilities, invading the deepest recesses of her foes mind. La Bella's thoughts rage and explode, her head on fire as her body slowly regains its strength. Dopey pulls out, having seen some of La Bella's most embarrassing memories. That time as a Feebas.. with the Magikiarp.. ha!

    Dopey McS. HP(-0) PP(-5)
    La Bella HP(-14) PP(-0) ~ Recharging

Smiling wickedly, McSamuraitail draws roots and vines from the ground to wrap around La Bella's snake like body. The vines reach up but suddenly collide against an invisible shield that sparks as the roots hit the barrier. La Bella smiles as she regains the last of her stamina in time to create a perfect protective shield that prevents any and all attacks from damaging her. Dopey snorts and stops the attack, then feels a little more bare, when her own protective safeguard finally fades away, leaving her wide open for retribution.

    ROUND FIVE

La Bella; as the pokemon with the most energy at the moment; is fast to move, throwing her entire weight at Dopey. The Slowking hesitates for split second then pulls a knot of grass out of the ground with her psychic powers. The knot grabs La bella by the tail and pulls her down, unfortunately on top of Dopey. Waving her stubby arms in distress, Dopey struggles for breath as La Bella grunts and shakes her tail free. She lifts herself back up and considers apologising, before turning her head away.

    Dopey McS. HP(-10) PP(-5)
    La Bella HP(-12) PP(-5)

Getting back on her feet after being flattened, Dopey turns her face her foe, who has already summoned a hail of shining golden stars. Dopey immediately tries to summon a protective coat to deflect the attack, but it does not come. Suddenly stuck with no attack, Dopey dives out of the way of the onslaught of stars, only for them to suddenly stop mid flight and double back on themselves. La Bella can barely contain her laughter, when the swift moving attack collides with Dopey's hide. Oo-er!

    Dopey McS. HP(-5) PP(-6)
    La Bella HP(-0) PP(-2)

Burning with red rage and embarrassment, Dopey wastes no time in grabbing another vine out of the ground. La Bella is half way towards her opponent when the root wraps itself around her midsection and pulls her back down to the ground with increased force. The wind is pushed out of her in a second and she wheezes for more air. Dopey lets the vine go form around her, letting her breath properly, but the attack was just enough to knock her out. La Bella is recalled to her pokemon, and Ayeun's second pre-chosen pokemon is released.

    ROUND SIX

Buzzer the Flygon immediately bursts onto the scene, brimming with energy, speed and determination. Dopey summons a powerful blizzard of ice and snow, which just clips the wings of Buzzer, and she dives through the air, weaving to one side away from the storm, and slamming a lightning covered fist into the water type. Dopey spins on the spot as Buzzer flies back up above the arena.

    Dopey McS. HP(-10) PP(-7)
    Buzzer HP(-9) PP(-4)

Clutching her cheek, Dopey sits down on the floor and attempts to focus her chi and restore lost energy. Meditating on it, Dopey starts to regain a little bit of her depleted reserves, but fails to notice the skies getting darker and a silver glow breaking through the clouds. Buzzer lets loose a high pitched screech and three rocks shoot out of the clouds, alight with silver flames. Two meteors strike the ground around Dopey, throwing her up in the air, whilst the third slams into her stomach.

    Dopey McS. HP(-16) PP(+5)
    Buzzer HP(-0) PP(-10) ~ S.Atk (-2)

    ROUND SEVEN

Oslo's next pokemon appears in the arena, somehow already in a pre-dug hole. How this is achieved is still of some question amongst experts, but we don't really care about that right now. The Supremes, the triadic pokemon Dugtrio bops around to it's own internal soundtrack of Motown classics as Buzzer circles above. Getting right down to battle, The Supremes dig themselves down slightly, locking themselves together as they prepare to bide their time and take this battle as it comes. Buzzer hisses, and swoops down, grabing them in his tail at the last minute and flicks them away. The Supremes tumble.. through the ground.. and seem to be unfazed as they come to a stop a few metres away.

    The Supremes HP(-5) PP(-2) ~ Biding
    Buzzer HP(-0) PP(-2)

Buzzer smirks, and circles around to face her foe. She hovers in the air, before throwing a ball of green energy at The Supremes. The ball hits Dugtrio head on, but instead of exploding, it spins and grows in size as it draws energy out of it's target. It flashes white for a second signalling it is full, and is instantly drawn back to Buzzer, who absorbs it back into her own body, instantly revitalising herself. The Supremes groan and shudder, before sending a pulse of energy out, that batters Buzzer where she floats, knocking her almost to the ground before she regains her balance and swings back up.

    The Supremes HP(-6) PP(-5)
    Buzzer HP(-18) PP(-4) ~ HP(+2)

Coming by for another pass, Buzzer wraps The Supremes up her tail again and flicks them away. Just as she releases them, a force wraps itself around her own tail, and she is yanked along with The Supremes. Somehow, the Dugtrio has perfectly mimicked the dragon's attack, and used in on the original owner. Somehow being the operative word, as Dugtrio doesn't have a tail to attack with, but logic and sense don't always figure in to these battles.

The Supremes HP(-5) PP(-8) ~ knows 'Dragon Tail'
    Buzzer HP(-6) PP(-2)

Realised I made a few little errors last round, Buzzer should have regained +3 HP from the Giga Drain not 2, so she's at 70% health. Also didn't factor in the Super effective damage to Dugtrio, which meant Giga Drain should have done 7 damage, which puts her at 83%

    ROUND EIGHT

This round begins with Buzzer, already forming a ball of energy between her talons. The energy ball collides with The Supremes like a rotary blade cutting through wood, tearing energy from the ground type's body. In an act of defiance, The Supremes screech with pitch perfect harmony, shattering the glass case for their MOBO Award. Buzzer can't help but be affected by the high pitched noise, but even as she feels her defences slipping, she is healed by the ball of energy as it springs back into her body.

    The Supremes HP(-7) PP(-8)
    Buzzer HP(-0) PP(-4) ~ (HP+3) ~ Dfc (-2)

Buzzer circles around The Supremes, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. She readies another ball of energy, which quickly slices into the Dugrio's body again. The Supremes cry out, but not before wrapping their invisible tail around Buzzer and yanking her hard to the ground. The logic makes everyone's head hurt, especially The Supremes, who have such difficulty working out how it happens, they choose to forget it rather than try to figure it out. Buzzer hits the ground on her bum, then flies up to catch the Giga Drain, just in time.

The Supremes HP(-7) PP(-5) ~ Forgot 'Dragon Tail'
    Buzzer HP(-8) PP(-4) ~ (HP+3)

Finally, Buzzer growls at her foe and concentrates hard. How she manages to pull this off, I can't say for certain, but sheer determination must play a part in it. As she throws the ball of energy at The Supremes, it digs deep, deeper than previous attacks and starts to swell to twice it's original size. Somehow, that attack hit a weak point in Dugtrio's defences (Critical Hit!). The Supremes cry out in pain, and attempt to retaliate, but as the surge forward, Buzzer manages to dodge past the attack just enough to only catch the tail end of the attack.

    The Supremes HP(-14) PP(-5)
    Buzzer HP(-7) PP(-4) ~ HP(+7)

Whoa. Has Ayeun hacked the randomiser tonight?

    ROUND NINE

The Supremes get ready for another battering, hugging together tightly and bracing themselves for what's to come. It's not long before they are hit by attack, a burning draining sensation as they are struck by a powerful giga burst of solar energy that rebounds back and restores Buzzer's health once again.

    The Supremes HP(-7) PP(-2)
    Buzzer HP(-0) PP(-4) ~ (HP+3)

The Supremes grunt from the attack, but still hold their ground. Buzzer circles overhead, before blowing a powerful spray of spittle, draconic energy and last night's Poffin Curry breath over the three ladies. They gag at the horrible smell and it almost causes them to lose their poise. Thankfully, their made of tougher things than that. They relax and spread themselves out again, releasing at the same time a blast of energy that wallops Buzzer right in the face.

    The Supremes HP(-4) PP(-5)
    Buzzer HP(-20) PP(-2)

Blown for six by the blast, Buzzer makes a loud high pitched buzz before throwing yet another ball of solar energy at the Supremes. They retaliate in kind, each one of the three Diglett shooting an orb of colourless energy at Buzzer. Mid flight the orbs cross over and change colour, one red, one yellow, one blue. They slam into Buzzer's chest, the same time the Giga Drain hits the Supremes. At the end of it, Buzzer still manages to regain some health, while the Tri Attack has no secondary effect.

    The Supremes HP(-7) PP(-4)
    Buzzer HP(-10) PP(-4) ~ (HP+3)
