Arena - Clockface
A large platform, dominated by a giant clockface. Throughout the battle, the hands continue to move at a regular pace, but nothing to cause a problem to the battle. However, at random intervals, the hands start to speed up, hitting any pokemon on the clock face for 10HP. Moving to the four corners of the platform can avoid the clock hands. The hands speed is at the ref's discretion, but the round before must provide some sort of clue for it.

Mysteec Clow cricked his neck, his manic smile slowly spreading on his face as he eyed his opponent. His hands fidgeted with his pokeballs. "Time to have some fun, shall we? Here, time is of the essence." He grabbed a pokeball and flung it into the air. "Come on out Oxide!" There was a flash of light, and a certain poison pokemon appeared.

Clow grinned and chuckled at the sight of the white Charmander. A white Charmander, certainly an interesting sight. "Oh, I'm going to enjoy this! Oxide! Engulf the entire area in Smog! Then add in a good helping of Smokescreen to make things a little harder. Than finish up with a good dose of Venoshock!" The clockwork madman was rilled up and ready to fight.

We begin this match with the nefarious clockmaster, Mystic, facing down the hopeful challenger of Skye. With a grin, Mystic sends out his Koffing, whilst Skye brings out a bright white Charmander.

We now begin with Orion making multiple copies of himself around the clock. Oxide looks at each in turn, then unleashes a choking smoke onto the field, covering everything. Now there are multiple figures dotted around. Oxide frowned. Now he couldn't see very much. Orion chokes slightly and one of his clones flicker out, but as the attack was not direct, suffers little damage.

Under the cover of the slowly vanishing smoke, Orion performs an ancient dance from, funnily enough, ancient times, boosting his stats. Oxide increases the smoke load, severely stinging Orion's eyes and making everything blurry. His clones remain unaffected.

Meanwhile, Oxide is having a similar problem discerning the shapes. Finally choosing a figure, he spits a nasty green acid at the shape, which vanishes due to being a clone. Great.

When the gas was unleashed, Mysteec quickly donned a gas mask. After all, when one is dealing with poison types, particularly a Koffing, it helps to be prepared. Underneath the mask, one could tell that the madman was grinning. "A fine start Oxide. Now, coat the entire clock face with a Sludge Wave! Then lob a couple of Clear Smogs to remove that little bonus of his!"

Not one to have a gas mask, Skye still felt confident, despite the sea of confusion and chaos just waiting to be unleashed within the darkness. "Let's take advantage of this situation with a trio of Aerial Ace strikes!" a simple enough of a command, but it would put those bonuses to use before they risked being taken away.

We begin this round with Orion peering through the smoke trying to find Oxide. He begins his move and trusts it to lead him to his opponent. With a downward cut, then a slash back up, Orion hits Oxide perfectly. Oxide watches as Orion melts back into the smoke and grins widely. He sends a large wave of sludge across the arena, hitting all clones and Orion too. As the smoke slowly starts to clear, Oxide can only see one figure now...

Skye recalled her fallen Charmander with a soft sigh, though she didn't seen terribly put off by the end result. It was to be expected. Perhaps she didn't care. Perhaps she was just sadistic. Either way, she grinned slightly and sent out her next Pokemon. A tiny little fox creature which shone upon being released from her Pokeball. Shiny Eevee! My, someone was a collector of the exotics.

As Mysteec recalled his defeated Koffing, he fingered through the remaining pokeballs before a cruel smirk appeared on his lips. "I know just the thing for this," he smirked, pulling a pokeball and throwing it. In a bright light, a bulky form appeared.

We begin this round with a new Pokemon out in the field, a shiny (seriously, are all the Pokemon in this ASB shiny of something?) Golett. Awwww, it's so adorable!
We now begin with Nemesis batting its eyes at the genderless robot and tries to charm it. It seems to be working, until Emet bursts out a bright light, ruining Nemesis' effect. Well that was a bit rude...

Nemesis really disliked that large flash and starts to cry. Emet is slightly taken aback by this. Sure, it was going to smash this furry thing into the ground with pure destruction, but it didn't want her to cry. Despite this, it still smashed the furry thing into the ground. Golett are fickle like that sometimes.

Now Nemesis goes on the assault and fires a dark ball of shadows. It does a lot and makes Emet's special defense even lower no less. Emet does not like this feeling and takes a wild swing at Nemesis. It misses, of course. Honestly, you don't have No Guard... you should, but you don't. :p

The clock finally remembers that it's a part of this arena and swings round again. After hitting both Pokemon, a loud twang! is heard and the clock breaks down. Funnily enough, when a gaseous ball explodes above it, it does some damage. Nemesis takes some additional damage.

A pretty decent start if Mysteec said so himself. He was enjoying the fact that he was beating on the Eevee, but not so much that his clock got ruined. Maybe blowing up Oxide wasn't such a smart move. "Emet! Let's keep this up! Start with a Double Team! If one Golett is frightening trying multiple! Then hit it with a Dynamic Punch and a Focus Punch!"

"Get up a Substitute just in case, then throw out another pair of Shadow Balls!" Skye didn't particularly care too much about the clock. Silly thing. But still... "Sorry you blew up your clock~" just a little call to the opposing trainer.

We begin this round with Nemesis creating a small plushie that just stares at Emet. Not that it cares, Emet's creating some clones of itself and now five Emets are staring down the substitute.

Now Nemesis has a slight problem. She must now decide which Emet to attack. Well, here goes nothing. She fires a ball of shadow and... the clones vanishes. Drat. The real Emet gives a swift punch at the substitute, therefore making it smash into a million gazillion pieces.

Nemesis chooses the next Emet and, of course, it's a clone. This allows Emet to build up focus and then clobber Nemesis with a powerful punch. It really, really hurts.

"Hm..." this battle would give Nemesis something better to look forward to, in the end. Skye felt bad for the overwhelmed Eevee, but all good things come in due time, and the Golett, or even Golurk, wouldn't have an easy chance against the Pokemon she would one day become. Just as had been with Orion's case, she simply grinned once again. Someone who doesn't care for her Pokemon, or someone who just doesn't care about the present, and only plans for the future...
