    Default Gettin' pumped! (Puma versus Emerald_Gen.3 | Ref: DarkestLight)

    Time to get things started!
    As this is my first battle and I don't want to screw things up, first of all, *here*'s the approval of my team.
    All my experiences come from watching a few battles, also the reason I started with ASB was a fun one with Oslo as a ref here. (Very humorous style! )

    Anyway, only kind-of-knowing-the-drill-but-not-really, let's get to the rules, shall we? Pretty basic stuff:

    => It'll be a quick one on one, to get me into the whole how things work (:
    => I send first, attack second
    => For the DQ Time, does 3 days seem reasonable?
    => Arena would be something basic. I thought of Indigo Plateau, open for suggestions though.
    => Damage Cap at 40%.

    Additional Stuff
    => I'd like to limit the use of rest and pain split to 2 times for both of 'em.

    Thrilled to see who's my first opponent going to be ^-^

    If anything is unclear or needs to be changed in order to suit your needs, feel free to point it out (:

    Oh god I don't want to destroy but I also want to win...who to choose. I'll choose Derpqueen (Slowking, F, Regenerator) Start off with an Ice Beam followed by a blizzard finishing with a Toxic
    Subs: if it try's to protect switch to nasty plot

    Haha, I see, the situation you are in is "complicated" (;
    Anyway, let's get to it!

    Carlos, start it off with Psychic, then use Safeguard to prevent the incoming Toxic, afterwards, try to pull Attract off!

    [Psychic ~ Safeguard ~ Attract]

    Starting anew

    ===Stipulations===

    Arena: Indigo
    1 v 1
    DQ: 3 days
    Banned moves: None
    Rest/Pain Split x 2

    ===Battlers===

    ===Round 1===

    The Indigo Plateau opens its doors once more, its hallowed battle grounds seeing the likes of a swift battle this evening. The newcomer to our ASB, Puma, eagerly sits on the turf, ready to do battle. And who shows up. Why its no other than Emerald. With his Slowking at his side, he points to Puma, and makes a odd gesture, dragging is finger across his neck. Whoa, little intense there buddy?

    Puma isn't so easily swayed. Carlos stayed put though...mainly because it's a Slowpoke. This left DQ to fire off an Ice Beam immediately. Puma barely jumped out of the way, and Carlos was left to take the brunt of the attack. The Ice Beam didn't seem to phaze him too much, and he decided to do something about it. A wave of energy smacked DQ in the face, and knocked her back a step.

    This battle, might be interesting.

    Ca: -7E/-5H ~~~ DQ: -8E/-6H

    Keeping with the ice theme, Derpqueen tries a new approach. Ice it to heck! With both hands up, a Blizzard rains down upon it. Carlos shivers a bit, but it does manage to chill and focus its energy in order to create a Safeguard. It's quite a feat really, twinkling safety within a Blizzard.

    Ca: -5E/-6H SG~~~ DQ: -10E

    Carlos sighed, probably figuring out that All in the Family just was removed off of television. DQ takes advantage, and creates a poisonous secretion from the Cloyster atop her head. She slapped Carlos across the face with it, hoping it would make the battle more interesting. Nope, you just tried to poisoned your own species. Good job. Carlos really didn't seem to register that it needed to do a move though.Puma huffs, wondering why Carlos did not obey orders. Oh wait. NOW there goes the Attract attempt. But Derpqueen is already confused too much by the ineffective Toxic, and doesn't notice it.

    Ca: -3E ~~~ DQ: -3E

    ===End Stats===

    I guess I got promoted to be the second BTPoke >: D
    Anyway, that wasn't bad Carlos! Let's keep the whole thing even slower.
    Start off with Thunder Wave, then keep calm and relax a bit.
    If he tries to block the Thunder Wave in some way, go for a Zen Headbutt instead.

    The battle continues at a frenzied pace! Hooo my god, look at DQ raise her hands and create a field of protective light, all while Carlos stares dimwittedly. Don't trust those eyes! In a flush of slow moving monstrous motion, Carlos barrels head first and manages to cover over 30 yards to hit DQ in the chesticles.

    1) Regen doesn't happen all at once, I do it via 3 HP Per relaxing action, and 10HP per round if you swap out. That way it's not like an everlasting battle.

    ===Round 3===

    Carlos knows he's in trouble. Mmhhmmm! if all that earth shaking does something to lower his speed, that's gonna be dangerous. But DQ is unstoppable in her pursuit of winning, and she goes for it. The attack gives a bit of grief, but nothing the pain reduced pink blob can't deal with.

    Its the Flash though, that spnic blast of light, that DQ can't deal with. She reels back, wincing and waving one arm in circles.

    Ca: -2E/-7H ~~~ DQ: -6E -Acc

    With her unable to see, Carlos actually MOVES! He moves over and watches as the ground ripples by him again. It...actually worked! Cue triumphant music, as well as the laugh track as DQ is railed by the sphere of ghastly doom!

    Ca: -7E ~~~ DQ: -6E/-18H

    DQ is not having a good go at this. Not only is she blinded by her pre-evolutionary opponent - but she's sphered twice, and left sprawling. Shw gets up though, and makes out the pink amongst the brown, swinging her self with enough velocity to smash her tail into Carlos. The unsuspecting quadruped is flipped over like a well seasoned burger and left to waddle on its back.

    Ca: -7E/-10H ~~~ DQ: -8E/-18H

    Now when you are already blinded, and have no real clue where your opponent is, battling gets difficult. Derp rubbed her eyes repeteadly, trying to lessen the haze. She raised a shield however, just in time to deflect a wave of warped energy, disguised in front of a Shadowball. The energy dispersed, which is insanely lucky.

    Ca: -10E ~~~ DQ: -10E

    With the deflection finished, Derp looked around and began to tell distinct shapes. Carlos was no longer safe. She whirled to face her opponent, and swelled up Shadowball. But, try as she might, there was no grass energy to muster with it. Disgusted with her inability, she fling it at Carlos.

    Carlos however, had the time to create and hold up a shield of warped light causing that sphere to filter nearly half of its strength to get through!

    Anyway, Carlos, now it's your time to shine!

    Yes, you read that right, it's so amazing and mean that it needs it's own word!

    DQ is not pleased. With all the energy she wasted on this stupid slowpoke, she's almost wiped out! She sits back and lets her healing properties try to take over, Even when CARLOS, IN ALL HIS INFINITE WISDOM, THINKS ITS A BRILLIANT IDEA TO SPIT UP ALL OVER HER FEET! (-1)

    She still stays put, wiping the gunk off of her feet. But Carlos is on a roll now! He actually has the nerve to tail whip her, and it hits precisely strong and localized enough to cause localized nerve damage! Insane! (-1)

    What else could Carlos do to her?

    Oh. Yeah. Shadowball! He can do that too...Might need to make a move soon here...(-1)

    Uhm, I did not exactly get why the shadow ball didn't do anything at all, but none the less, at least the status worked out as planned!

    Now let's get to it!
    First off, Refresh your Safeguard, then throw up another flash while finishing it off with a (very original) Shadow Ball! Never change a more or less working system, eh?
    If he happens to protect against the shadow ball, use Calm Mind again instead!

    ===Round 6===

    Derpqueen noted the extent of her condition, and saw no other way to rectify it but to take a nap. She lied down and got all comfy, as Carlos began licking the air. In a weird way, that seemed to create a new Safeguard.

    Derpqueen twitched, but she was able to sleep! That was not part of the plan!

    Ca: -5E SG: 7 act~~~ DQ: -30E/+40H Cured

    Not realizing just how the tables shifted, Carlos continues to lick the air for a minute. He generates a powerful flash with but a blink of his eyes, but it goes unnoticed by Derpqueen. Derpqueen rolls over a few times, and slams her tails around, causing rocks to shoot up and strike Carlos. Quite an interesting attack.

    Ca: -3E/-7H ~~~ DQ: -5E

    It was now that Carlos must have realized that this was a battle. His face changed and he glared at the now sleeping opponent. With no delay (which is creepy), a Shadowball formed and was tossed as the disrespectful divergent evolution. There was no attempt to block it on her part.

    Ca: -7E ~~~ DQ: -18H

    ===Round 7===

    See what happens when you don't exercise and then do strenuous activity? You get all tired! Least, that is still Derp's case as she sits silently. In retrospect, Carlos gets all up in arms and throws a hissy fit that she can move around. Well, once again he get's his act together and blips off a sparkle of energy that envelops her in electric misery.

    Ca: -3E ~~ DQ:+6E Par

    Derp kills more time, and launches a look at Carlos. With a deep breath, Carlos manages a Shadowball that knocks the queen over! Long live the queenkilla!

    Ca: -7E ~~~ DQ: -18H

    The queen dares not take any more of this and launches herself back into standing position. A wisp of light forms around her adornment, and it revolves around it at ridiculous speeds. It then flies off and strikes Carlos as he lobs another Shadowball her way. Carlos acknowledges the stinging his body received, as Queen falls over.

    Let's get this over with. Carlos, show her you are the true and only Slowpoke!

    Combonatic Subsation of Doom!
    Finish her with a Shadowball/Signal Beam Combo, if she still stands throw another Shadowball.

    Now for all frickin subs:
    If he Protects against anything, switch to Relaxing instead. We could need the power, and I definitely won't risk a friggin' draw due to fatigue.
    If he combos himself, switch to Protecting at any point, if still possible execute the combo. However, still having the sub before in mind.
    I don't even know if Slowking is able to learn something like that, but whatever, if he tries to double team or substitute, focus on the right one with Psychic, and shoot a Signal Beam. Afterwards Shadowball him, considering the other subs.
    If he dives down, dive after him and hit him hard with a Signal Beam! Afterwards, if he dives up dive up to and ram him, otherwise, hit him with another shadow ball.

    [Signal Beam + Shadowball ~ Shadowball]
    Sub 1: Relax against Protect/Avoid
    Sub 2: Protect against Combos
    Sub 3: If still possible after 2, Signalbeam+Shadowball
    Sub 4: In case of Doubleteam/Substitute: Psychic to focus + Signal Beam ~ Shadowball
    Sub 5: In case of Dive, Dive down + Signal Beam ~ Dive up/Shadowball

    Sleep Talk against Hypnosis.
    Take this Em. Let's see you gettin out of this situation

    You realize that if you don't evolve him into a Slowking after this battle I won't take you seriously anymore...right

    Ok since this is coming to a close end lets just do it and hope for the best, first you gotta Psychic the Shadow Ball Beam back into him, your smart, you can do it! Next use Shadow Ball and finally if your still standing Signal Beam him

    ===Round 8===

    This battle is getting tense. Derpqueen has had it up to here with all the shenanigans Carlos is pulling. Stepping her game up, she braces her stance and waits. Good ploy. A large Shadowball hovers over Carlo's head, but instead of its usual high arcing path, it's a rocket toss! Dazzling streamers of energy accompany it, and try as she might, the combination is a little too crazy got her to completely reflect with a Psychic alone. Some of the Signal Beam is bounced back, but the bulk of the attack breaks through her defense and leaves her on her back.

    Ca: -13E/-7H ~~ DQ: -7E/-25H

    Barely alive, Derp groans. She rolls over, only to see Carlos strutting to her. The nerve! She takes all the angst she feels and flings it back at him in a desperate attempt to gather some time. Carlos is hit backwards, but does not stop his attempt at victory, employing the same technique.

    And we all know how that turns out. SLAM. BAM. THANK YOU MA'AM!

    Ca: -3E/-16H ~~~ DQ: -8E/-7H

    ===End Stats===
