Well, I have a list of Pokemon I plan to catch in the future in the Safari Zone:

-Zoroark
-Deoxys (I might go after it on my next trip there, with different Pokemon)
-Gardevoir
-Gothitelle
-Chandelure

For the last two, if I acquire them both, I'm seriously considering having at least one of them have Shadow Tag.

I'm fairly sure you can still get those Pokemon approved at the Approval Tower.

Greyfox answered that question in the ASB News topic...basically, they can be found in the Safari Zone now, but we cannot find Mega Stones for Pokemon who are getting a Mega evolution in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire (like Mega Sceptile) just yet. But once the two games are released in North America (this Friday is when they're out), we'll be able to find those particular Mega Stones, too.

oh yeah those are out on friday… sigh I need a 2ds, this is really the only new pokemon game I really want, but I still consider emerald the best (unless these remakes are as good as I hope)

Hmm, I was just digging through some old posts, and it seems I have a female Dragonair I got approved several years ago in this ASB (she came as a gift from one of the previous Xmas trees here, from a guy called Cheesey)...since abilities weren't here when she got approved, I guess I can pick either ability for her, right?

OSLO HAS NEW RULE: Safari refs are no longer allowed to vanish in the middle of a crazy-ass quest. Dan spun together some bonkers (but still awesome) shit for Darkly's Adventcha and I'm trying to make sense of it all so I can move the plot along. There's a temple and Ghosts and a chanting father-daughter duo and Cobalion who's been separated from its body and a Kangaskhan with a sword and *falls to pieces* why is there no sparknotes for this thing

Remember the pre-Legend days when the Safari Zone was all "hurr, there's a krabby! do you approach or keep going?" Way more boring, at least you could pick up a dropped quest without losing your mind.

(Oslo just joking, btw. SZ reffing is still plenty fun.)

I have a confession: haven't even made my Venusaur hold Venusaurite in my Pokemon Y Save Game file.

I guess it's about time.

As for the remakes, I promised myself I wouldn't buy new games this year, still have so many unfinished ones.

Tranquil Shores
A small cove-style beach. There are lots of ocean pokémon to be found here, as well as Fire types enjoying the sun. Some ground types can also be found.


Round 1


Alright, checklist on things you need. Pokemon: Check, your smeargle named leo. Pokeball: Check, and you'll hopefully use it well. Plan: Heck yeah, check! let's do this!

You and your pokemon are teleported onto the seaside landscape that is the tranquil shores. With everything you need in tow, you walk around the landscape. As you're walking, you see a bunch of krabby on the distant rocky landscape, blowing bubbles.




there seems to be a cave at the base of this rocky landscape.

What Next?

-Keep walking around the shoreline
-Approach the cave
-Approach the Krabby
-Give up?

At any rate, since ASB is in the process of resurrection, I feel I should join in on the fun. College has been kicking my ass, but things have settled down well enough where I can get back to good ole' ASB, and all of the resurrection needed to do so. I'm still plenty busy, so I won't be around 24/7, but anything will be better than the snooze-fest I left ya guys.

Hey, does anyone here remember the last time I worked on a master catch list for ASB here (showing who was the first to obtain each Pokemon on the list)? Well, seeing as ASB is looking pretty good these days, I thought I might go back to it and update it for 2014 in the near future, with the addition of all the X/Y Pokemon (I suppose I could add Mega Evolutions to it too, but that's something I'm not sure how to approach yet).

But, if I make a new update for the list, I am so tempted to do that in a separate topic...would that be okay, and would it also be okay for it to be stickied? I sometimes wish I thought of this idea back when I last worked on the list, in 2012.

I don't know, I once was like the ultimate master of TPM forum searches. I was able to find everything. I read my ancient posts, relived the flame wars, saw the glory of Pokemon Anime again and again. Remember the Milestone Topic? But after the forum was upgraded, I honestly haven't been able to adapt to the change of that feature.

and with the sig, I'm still working on a trainer sprite that keeps having minor issues, but at least I'm learning
