Oh yes! The star of the show has arrived. Blink takes a few sharp breathes as the twin tassled fighter enters the fray, blades at the ready. Lloyd wastes no time ion showing off his strength to the other fighter. A running leap, and he's in the air, bicycle kicking at Blink. Blink does what he cant to parry each kick, acting as if each foot is just another notch in a speed bag-a speedbag he's punching with fists as hard as glacial ice. The exchanges lasts for quite a while , with Blink stepping backwards to offset of forward momentum of Lloyd. Lloyd finished with a hard stomp that pushes Blink's extended left hand down, but that right one flew up in order to guard his face. The final kick careened directly into that fist, and for a moment, all time froze.

Lloyd then landed, and knelt, as Blink watched with tepid eyes

Then DL realizes that Lloyd didn't use Blaze kick, so none of that happened.

WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS...Blink charged up an icy slab of fury, only to have his world torn apart by that mental assassin. But one wasn't enough to stop the punching Pokemon! The first Ice punch slammed into Lloyd, and made the boy fall on his chest, arms sprawled.

Loyd pushed himslef up, only to be the recipient to some sweet chin music by Blink. Damn, Blink's footwork was astounding at this moment. Lloyd landed on his knees, and gripped the ground in anguish for a moment. That was a chilling shot. So he thrust another Psychic blast Blink's way, all for the Hitmonchan to take in-absorb, and ultimately fall trying to usurp.

With Blink falling, Em was down to one final Pokemon. Fearing not his chances, he releases that goblin of a Pokemon, with a penchant for shinies. Saboteur grins, and stares down Lloyd, as the latter dashes across the field to ignite this final matchup. A flaring kick would have been Lloyd's opening move, but the blinding fast Sableye slapped his patella in just the right spot to make him question using that leg for the rest of the match.

Lloyd shook his fear off, but now was privy to a light show. Before he was fully distracted by those strange glints coming from Saboteur's eyes, a foot found the gremlins face. Searing hot feet he has!

Sab rubbed his face, trying to rid the scent of flaming kick out his memory. Lloyd took that distraction to perform a flaming axe kick. Sab didn't even have a chance to defend against it. Her body bounced twice ion the ground, but she did recover. Scratching at the ground, she lunged at the foolish fighter and tackled him to the ground. Claws went to work on his knees, and Lloyd did all he could to pry her off and away.

Oh, she was going to get it now.

Well, I don't have much here to be honest. Let's go for a Toxic, and two shadow balls

And since I'm still in my learning phase I did have a noobish question. Perhaps this will help me out in the future, but I was wondering why Saboteur's Confuse Ray failed to hit. I looked up Justified and it doesn't seem to protect from status moves. Irving's attack hit Saboteur dead center, so was there a flinch chance from Blaze Kick? Or is there some hidden percentages that are calculated into such attacks for a move not working even if it has a 100% chance to hit? Just a curios question is all. I have to start learning this things if I want to have any chance of giving anyone a challenge around here.

Sometimes things miss, like in the games. Its a low percentage (like 5% or less) but once in a blue moon, Confuse ray and other attacks will miss or not work depending on the circumstances. Its super rare. Think of it as like, he saw the lights but they didn't take hold.

This looked rough for Sab, as that bladed warrior with tassels came running at him. So, all he could do was just...vomit? Sab just unleashed his lunch all over the ground directly in front of him. Lloyd quickly put on the brakes, erecting a shield that helped him skid over the vomit pool and stop a few feet away

Wiping his mouth, Sab sneered and created a dark sphere of energy. The sphere floated behind him as Lloyd overextended to strike the phantom. A scar appeared across Sab's chest, but Sab's Shadowball was flung at Lloyds now unguarded face. Reeling back, Lloyd held his eyes shut for the moment, waving his arms wildly to deter any attacks.

Sab, glad to see something hurt this hellion, raised up another sphere. A second cut came from Loyd, as he squinted to see his foe. It wasn't too hard to make out the purple dot firing a purple dot at his midsecti--wait!

Sab didn't have much time to waste in order to capitalize on this fight. But , it seemed Lloyd was losing interest.

No, He DID. Lloyd just sat down...and went to sleep. That seems well and dandy, instead now a Shadowball just smashed into his face...and put him on his back.

Before Sab could...in theory do any more damage, Lloyd hopped up and tried to Punch the phantom! Yeah no, dangerous risk to use Sleep Talk now, that seemed like a Drain Punch. Sab sneered and let loose another Shadowball. Yipe-and the sting!

This seemed to be going in Sab's favor...until Lloyd actually hopped up again and used...an actual effective attack. The brutal force of stone came raining down on Sab, and he used everything he could to slash it all away before it was too much and he was buried alive. One arm peered out from the edges of his makeshift tomb and with it...nothing. Sucker flinched.

With Lloyd sleeping, and these stones still kinda hiding his location, Sab went to work trying to make himself as strong as possible before facing the bladed being outside. He huffed and puffed and calmed himself down, right as he heard something. He wasn't sure what it was he heard, but it sounded off, like a balloon popping.

Pushing some rocks out of the way of that ill-fated Stone Edge from before Sab finally could see. Lloyd was a few meters away, and yet, it looked as if there was some sort of light being charged. Suddenly a dark shape shot up and smacked Sab across the face! What kinda sneaky attack...

Sab: -3E/-4H +SpA/D~~~ Llo: -4E

Then those eyes opened. A well rested...and now pained Gallade shakes off the sleepies and looks around. Why was SAb so far away. He begins his run up to Sabo. Sabo readies what looks seriously like a Galick Gun and fires it at Lloyd. Lloyd quickly uses both blades and stabs the ground, creating two trails of stone to rage up and speed right for Sab, the beam traveling in between the stone barriers. Sab is struck at their intersection, right as Lloyd takes that Dark pulse head on.

Smirking, Lloyd felt another shiver run through its body. These Dark Attacks were helping alot..

Lloyd unsheathed his blades and clanged them together before backflipping, creating a swath of rippling energy that he then manipulated, right as a Shadowball raged against its existence. The problem here is that the amount of Energy that Lloyd tried to expend was past his ability, and the Protect shattered! He groaned as the Shadowball slammed into his skull!

Okay Saboteur, let's try this out. Go in first with a Swagger. You have to take a Serene Grace in the face, but we have to set up. From there, if the fairy does try to land a hit on you put up a Protect. Otherwise if it falls to the effects of confusion and doesn't attempt to attack you I want you to go in with a Toxic. Finally, get up a Flash and make sure to get that accuracy down. If you weren't attacked the second time, but attacked the third time then instead get a protect up.

Down to his last Pokemon, out comes the eggy fairy, Togepi. Pax claps a few times before attaining a serious face and growls at his opponent. Sab sneers right back and begins to flaunt itself around in a very shocking manner, which visibly upsets the small egg. Know what the funniest thing about it is?

Pax can't do crap cause Togepi can't learn X-scissor.

Sa: -2E ~~~ Pax: +2 Atk, Cfn

Hrm. Now with Togepi just wandering the field, Sab takes a deep breath and sets up his plan nicely. First a nice layering of toxic flakes all over the hard boiled walking egg....

And now a bright inch of Flash to hinder it from seeing. Pax has no idea what to do, and its just rolling around blind and trying to find bunnies.

Okay... keep it together Sab. We got only one lucky break. We're still down a bit and that fairy can come back at any moment. We should prioritize getting that health down, so I would LIKE to try and get three Poison Jabs in there. Now, if any super effective fairy type moves are thrown at you while you are trying to use a Poison Jab I want you to instead deflect the move with a Detect. Only do this for one such attack and the first time it happens. We're going to have to rely on physical moves here, so if at any point a Reflect is thrown up I want you to instead use a Brick Break in substitute for your original attack. So, here is how we will go:

Poison Jab (If the first offensive fairy type move is thrown out this round then use Detect instead. If Reflect is/was used then counter with a Brick Break) ~ Poison Jab (If the first offensive fairy type move is thrown out this round then use Detect instead. Sab realizes that if its not careful, this may be the end. So it hurriedly tries to take advantage of the currently dysfunctional Pax. Pax hears things shouted at him, but rather decides to rub its butt on the ground and clap in place. Seeing no instance to attack, the first Poison Jab goes off without a hitch.

Sa: -6E ~~~ Pax: -12H

That hurt. Pax looked to its assailant, and managed to fire off said Dazzling Gleam! Realizing this is the first time he's saw said attack, Sab screeches to a stop and dives left, barely avoiding the blast. Pax claps summore and then begins hitting its head on the ground.

Sa: -8E ~~~ Pax: -7E

No, Pax is dumbing it up right now. Really bad confusion. Sab snickers and strikes again with a second punch to Pax's gut. This aligns Pax with a clearer state of mind since he begins a coughing fit, but he's in no shape to retaliate after all those hits to its own head.

Pax's debut has not been a smooth one for sure. But he means to make up for it, and readies himself to fire off another Razzle Dazzle. Even though strange waves are eminating from that greebly looking ghost over there....Pax blasts off a Gleam that finally hits its mark. Sab flies backward, pained from the blow. But it is not without consequence, as its apparent the little guy is confused once more

Confused Pax, still is a dangerous Pax. A second Gleam goes shooting off, but this one misses by a small margin. Sab nervously relaxes, watching to see if that egg manages another strike...

Nope. Lucky break here. Pax manages to find a fun little spit of land and is rolling down it, before getting up and doing it all over. It would be cute, if...you know..Emerald wasn't over here screaming bloody murder at it to hopefully break its confusion before it cost him this match :O
