Default Mega Pokémon Grand Finale! Oslo v. Knight of Time

Alright, everyone, it's time for the final stage of the Mega Pokémon Grand Tournament! Oslo and Knight of Time have bested their respective opponents twice over and reached the final stage, and we're now going to do something a bit different. I'll play the role of referee.

I had a hunch you would be reffing the finale, Greyfox, so I'm totally fine with that. I'll be PMing you soon.

Best of luck to you too, Oslo. Who knows, we might have a double KO like we did in the type tournament when we were first battling each other.

Also, I noticed something a little odd, Oslo...we're each using a Pokemon the other used in the type tournament.

    UNDERGROUND
We find ourselves in the final round of the Grand Prix with veterans Oslo and Knight of Time meeting once more, releasing some of their most powerful pokémon. Polkaroo and Sabre eye one another down before the whistle blows, and immediately get ready to battle. The whistle blows and the commands come out. Battle start!

Sabre shines brightly as her body becomes engulfed by a familiar light. Her body reshapes to account for her new wings as Polkaroo quickly leaps at him and slaps his face. He doesn't flinch as his opponent quickly retreats... underground.

I'm not quite sure what Polkaroo's doing underground, but I'm pretty sure Oslo's activating his Mega Ring. Sabre fires off a Dark Pulse that does nothing.

The first round concludes with nothing really happening whatsoever. Fun.

As Sabre remembers the terrible Earthquake attack that ruffled his feathers, Polka snaps her fingers and summons a protective veil to surround her and her youngling. Sabre then stamps his feet to the floor, sending a nice tremor around the arena that goes ignored by its targets. Sabre sighs before getting hit by a series of electric volts with twinges of fighting energy. Holy carps! And then Roo hits him again. Stupid Parental Bond!

    ...ouch.

    'looks down at the ground'

I came sooooo close to winning this tournament...but the style of this battle was something I just couldn't fully get the hang of. To me, it felt like an "ASB Final Exam" that I didn't "study" enough for, and just like many of the final exams I wrote in the past for school and college, I'm disappointed I "failed" here. But, it's still my best finish in a tournament, and I'm glad I was able to be in this battle. I just hope I'll be able to win a tournament someday in the future, though I don't think I want to contend with this battle format again (I don't hate it; I just am not a fan of total unpredictability).

Still, congratulations Oslo, and thanks for reffing, Greyfox.

'sigh' Sabre, I'm sorry that we didn't get your Mega Stone here. But, that's only going to make my desire to look for your Mega Stone in the Safari Zone much stronger. Someday if we find it and a Mega Ring, I'll make sure you become a legend among all the Pokemon still in this ASB.

Good work, Polka and Roo! *returns*

You fought very well, Kyle, like always. I'm sure we'll cross swords again. Perhaps in another tournament, since that seems to be our thing.

Thanks for reffing, Grey. I really liked this battle style. It's always interesting when battlers have to improvise and adapt. Also, since you and DL haven't participated in a tournament in a while, I will be sure to give my spot to either of you next time.
