Well Crystal Tears, it's certainly been a while since we last battled, but I'm hoping this one can go all the way to the end without a DQ or forfeit on either side. I hope you're active enough now to do this and keep it going!

Rules:

2 on 2 (one out at a time)

DQ Time: 1 week
Banned Moves: Non-damaging healing moves
Arena: Well, since I recall we are both Canadian, how about this? The arena will be on reinforced concrete (so digging won't work), which has a full size replica of the Canadian flag on it.

One final note...to add to the challenge, I wish for us to have no damage caps here. After my battle with Perfect Chaos, where he set it up to have no damage caps, I figured it would be good here too.

I accept you're challenge! One thing though, I would like to ban subbing moves, so no "if this happens, do this" kind of thing... and no spamming the same move, so we won't have psychic x 3 kind of thing. o:

Trying to make this an even bigger challenge eh? Two can play at this game. If you're going to ban substitutions, then I'd like to ban all status moves, not just the non-damaging healing moves. That way, it'll be like having our Pokemon Taunted (and Tormented too)...it's also something I've always wanted to try in a battle, just to make sure that there are very few to no status shenanigans. I want to see how well you can battle with only attacking moves!

Since you're starting with a normal type, I'll follow suit. Sylvana, I need your assistance!

Sylvana is my female Audino, and her ability is Regenerator.

Alright Sylvana, this is our first battle, so let's bring our A++ game here.

Let's alternate punching moves here, by going with a Power-Up Punch, then a Drain Punch, followed by another Power-Up Punch!

I was gonna wait for a ref, but I feel bad for Knight. I haven’t forgotten about this match. ^^;

Almost like we’re taunted… Almost.

Pur-Pur, we’re a little out of our league with her throwing all those nasty fighting moves at us, so Baton Pass to Creeper (Male, Dusknoir, Pressure). He'll help us out.

Creeper, use Focus Blast. Then, since well… she can’t hurt you, devastate her with a Focus Punch.

I'll ref this one, since I'm Canadian and all, but I just want to mention that we're off to a weird start. Kyle stipulated that you're only allowed to use attacking moves, as though your Pokemon were perma-Taunted, but Baton Pass is classified a Status move... so it should fail, yes? I think CT may have interpreted the rules as no status-inducing moves, but I don't believe that's what Kyle meant. Or I could be wrong. idk. I just want to confirm that I'm interpreting the rules correctly before I ref the first round.

Yeah I thought status-inducing, like thunder wave and will-o-wisp. I didn't think Baton Pass was a status move? So what's all banned? Every single move save for ones that do damage? O_o;

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant. Sorry if I had you confused there Crystal Tears, but when I mentioned status moves, I didn't mean just the non-damaging moves which cause status conditions (to me, status moves are moves that don't do direct damage like Oslo said).

Go ahead, Crystal Tears. I'd do the same if I realized I couldn't make a move (like in my battle with Underscore where I thought my Frillish (who is now a Jellicent) could use Imprison; I was ready to use Dream Eater instead as a backup plan incase Imprison didn't work, and am I glad I made that backup plan, otherwise I would have regretted my booboo).

Ice Beam the ground in front of Slyvana so she slips and can’t land a punch, then use a more concentrated Blizzard to try and freeze her in place or blow her away so she can’t hit you. Add onto her chill with another Ice Beam. Do your best to freeze her or slip her up, just keep her away from you.

CAN'T MOVE!	Welcome, Pokemasters, to a very Canadian battle! Today, Kyle will be facing off against Crystal Tears to determine which Canadian is the Canadianest Canadian of all the Canadians. The trainers release, summoning a pair of squishy pink blobby things. Alright! Let's begin! Pur-Pur gets things off to a frigid start with an Ice Beam, which leaves a slippery path in front of Sylvana. The poor Audino tries to come in close for a punch, but she can't quite keep her balance. She ends up looking like a drunk toddler trying to do the Charleston. Okay.	-7 EP

She strikes hard with a Drain Punch, which restores some health, except it doesn't, because her health doesn't need restoring. Pur-Pur hisses and lets a Blizzard fly. Cold and ice strike Sylvana with as much concentrated force as Pur-Pur can manage, but a Freeze does not come.	-12 HP -9 EP

Pur-Pur use Hyper Voice, then Shockwave and finish with an Ice Beam.

[Knight of Time]

Sylvana, use Icy Wind first to slow Pur-pur down so that you two are no longer equal in speed, then use a Drain Punch and get some health back. Finally, let's fight ice with fire- destroy that Ice Beam with a Fire Blast! Even if it takes away some of the strength of the flames, make sure that Ice Beam doesn't survive the intense heat!

Oslo, just a heads-up, but this isn't my first time fighting ice with fire; I did this before in my first battle with Ayeun (it was reffed by DarkestLight), when it came to the clashes of Fire Blast and Ice Beam in that battle, the heat prevailed.

However, even though Water > Fire, the Fire Blast's base strength is almost twice as much as the Water Pulse. As a result, the Water Pulse evaporates into a puff of stream. The piddly bit of remaining fire strikes Pur-Pur and leaves her a little singed.	-2 HP -4 EP

It's okay. Just be prepared for what can happen when you leave a big opening for your opponent to take advantage of.

Sylvana, let's do just that, use a combo of Drain Punch + Double-Edge + Drain Punch (for the second Drain Punch, I want you to do what you can to make the second Drain Punch more of a surprise hit than anything, like using it immediately after the first two moves, but still before the Water Pulse if possible), just don't let Pur-Pur confuse you with her Water Pulse! Let's cross our fingers that the combo can KO her!
