I think it takes some getting used to the look. Mr. Mime is quite a bit in the uncanny valley and so are Pikachu's eyes which remind me of my old teddy bear's. Still, I'll go and see it.

I like that they're trying to capture a wider market than just the kids with this one. The irreverent humour seems as though it could be all-encompassing, though I must confess I do miss the vocal talents of Kaiji Tang.

The movie was pretty good. Especially the first 30 minutes were fun, then it was a bit too hurried.

It's actually a good movie. Of course, it's not like it's an Oscar-worthy one, but it's sufficient for fans, overall. The Pokemon graphics and models were done right.

Mewtwo should not move its mouth! Freaked me out. And a lot of the pokemon fur was too fuzzy for my tastes. They looked like the fur of carnival prizes, not, like, regular animal fur that lays flatter.

It was a cute movie though! It felt like it was written for Millenials but stayed kid-friendly, to satisfy many generations of Pokemon fans.
