I added some spells to both my forms, since I hadn't before, and everyone else had. Also I saw DarkLink's sign up form for a Dark Zora who uses Ice and Dark magic. That's going to be fun. What with my Dark character having a great hatred of the Zoras, and also having Dark and Ice magic. >
Name: Kuakurai (Koo-Ah-Ko-Rai)
Age: 90 (which is relativly young)
Gender: Male
Species: Subrosian
Description: Like a Subrosian is generally seen (though not often by most) he wears a full length, body covering red robe, hooded to hide all but his flourescent red eyes. Beneath the gown, is the body of a Subrosian that has never been revelaed (and now come my creative liscense). His body is thin and reptilian with dark brown scaled skin. His eyes are large, also reptilian but glow with a brilliant white flouresence. His hands and feet have only 3 apendages, each are clawed, with a larger talon at the back of the wrist and ankle.
Personality: For a person who's species is practically unknown to the world he is very defenceive and shy. He worms his way out of things quickly and is good at avoiding the big issues. He is loyal and dedicated, but it takes alot of work to break through his outer shell of fear and paranoia
Dream: To return his people to their former home above ground (see History, which includes creative liscend backstory for the Subrosian Species )
Skills: Very resiliant to heat, sharp claws, keen sense of smell
Weapons: Aside from his sharp claws, a pair of short swords (about a foot in length, no more than that)
Armor: Doesn't need any. His skin is very tough and resiliant, having lived in a lava filled cavern for much of his life.
Magic: A few fire spells, nothing much, just to heat things, or create small fires.
Combustion - Creates a small flame in his hand
Radiate - Creates a glowing orb that radiates heat
History: Long ago, the Subrosian people lived above ground, in a vast city behind Death Mountain. They were a race looked upon with some fear because of the way they looked, and so faced many dangers when they left to sel goods, that they were forced to wear large gowns that hid their faces. When a violent volcanic eruption shook the mountain, the earth cracked and the Subrosian race sank into the depths of the world. They were considered all but destroyed, with only a few relics and artifacts remaining as any evidence they existed. The Subrosians were infact, perfectly safe, albiet a few cuts and brusies, but their city was now deep underground, in a volcanic cavern.
In time, the Subrosian race was all but forgotten about, apart from a few obscure references in Goron Literature. The race thrived below ground, maintaining their way of life, undeterred by outside influence. Further volcanic activity revealed small warp points that would push those who stepped into them, back up into the core of Death Mountain, where the outside world of Hyrule was accesible. Many Subrosians left to explore during a time, whereupon they never returned. Kuakurai was one of them. He traveled the land of Hyrule, etching out a meger life as a merchant dealing in goods to rouges and travelers. Living in fear of attacks from those scared of his appearence, he found the flier and decided (against his better judgement) that it would be a chance to return home.
Other: Kuakurai doesn't reveal that he's a Subrosian to anyone. He tells people he meets, that he is a Hylian, suffering from a disorder that mean exposure to light hurts his skin, hence the shadowy robe and the raspy voice.
Kuakurai (m) Subrosian Rouge
It's been three months now. Hiding beneath crates of food and drink in the basement of an Inn in the city of Kildon. In a place full of traveler's merchants, people who are different, unusual, some even scary, yet, it is I who is the outcast, even amongst these strangers. It's because I am of a species unheard of in this new Hyrule for many many years. I don't know exactly how long Subrosia has been hidden from Hyrule, but ten years before my birth, darkness raveged this land and many of my people left to help battle it. They never returned. I fear I know what happened to them. When I first arrived in this new land, I was refered to as a Lizalfos. I saw a few drawungs of these beasts, and noted their resemblance to my own species. In the darkness, I fear my people became monsters. That is one of the reasons, that I know etch out a megre life selling things to strangers and living in dirt.
Last night, I was out wandering the town. There was a alrge celebration. A fest I think, where most merchants had been invited to, after the return of one of the most well known. I, of course, was not invited. But the barren town now gave me a chance to stretch my legs, find a decent meal, and try to find some more things to buy and sell. A poster, recently stuck on a door caught my attention. I stopped to read it, carefully looking around to make sure no one was watching me.
Warriors wanted!
All who be stout of heart and pure of mind are summoned to the palace within the week. Your quest shall be discussed on Thursday the next.
His Royal Highness, King Zechial Hyrule III
Quest? Against my better judgement, this sounds like a chance to get out of this rat infested hole and actually do something. Against my better judgement of course. MY better judgement would tell me to ingore it. Go back to the Inn, pull a blanket over my head and sit out the day until the next chance to have a good meal came along. But it seemed that night, my better judgement was not with me.
Another quick glance around, and I had torn the poster from the door, shoved it under my cloak and hurried back to the Inn. I quickly collected my belongings and headed out of the town. I passed an old man on my way. I knew him, he was the owner of one of the taverns. Fortunatly, he was one of the few who didn't know my true identity.
"You heading out of town Cloak?" He asked.
I had taken on the nickname 'Cloak'. I had to wear a red cloak to hide my features. I told people I was Hylian, and I had a skin disorder that made light burn my skin. Most of them bought it.
"Yes. I have.. business out of town." I hurried out as quick as I could.
~
That.. was last night. Tonight, I've found myself resting the night in the farmhouse of Lon Lon Ranch. And no, i'm not in the Guest house as most would be, I am hiding myself in one of the storage sheds. I had to break into it. It doesn't look like anyone come sinto it anymore. So it's a good place to sleep out the next few nights before I go to the palace.
Name: Segiro (Se-Gi-Ro)
Age: 100 (plus 500)
Gender: Male
Species: Ice Goron
Description: Take Durania as your base looks. Change colour composition to a deep brown, like volcanic rock. Body is scarred with battle wounds and cuts. Hair is wilder, longer and silver in colour. Down his back are spikes. Across both his arms are silvery blue coils, that stretch from his wrists to his shoulders. On his hands are Iron Gauntlets
Personality: Cold, would be ironic, but true. Years of living in a frozen stasis (see history) has made him even more bitter of others than he once was. Has no remorse for his actions, nor does he have and reason for most things he does. His very soul is plauged with darkness.
Dream: To subject Hyrule to the harshest of colds and freeze it forever.
Skills: Brute Strength, Can survive under water for up to 2 hours without a need to resurface
Weapons: Skull Hammer
Armor: The coils wrapped around his arms provide him with an armor.
Magic: A number of Ice Spells, and some Dark Spells
Veil - Creates a freezing cold air that can be controlled by thought
Freeze - Basic enough, it freezes things
Drain - Drains all the heat from something, freezing it. Not the same as Freeze
Various Dark spells I can't think of.
History: The only living decendant of an ancient and unknown race of Ice Gorons. Ice Gorons were once regular Gorons who lived deep beneath the Ice Caverns, drawing off what little heat from the earth they could. They evolved over time into Thick skinned Gorons who could resist cold temperatures and moisture.
Segiro, was imprisoned by the Ice Gorons in a block of Red Ice. He became a perfect living statue, frozen in time for his crimes. Killing, deception, worshiping the darkness. As the world grew hotter, and the Ice Gorons died out Segiro remained trapped in the unmelting Red Ice, until a freak occurance in nature caused an eruption of Blue Fire. The damage was done, and the Ice melted, Segiro was released.
Bracing himself for a new world he stepped out into Zora's Domain and at once began his reign of terror, killing Zora's who strayed to close to the forbidden Ice Caverns. With the best Zora Warriors after him, he was forced to retreat away and hide. He is know in a cave near Lake Hylia, near a fresh water stream that provides him with the coolness he requires. As a Mountain Goron would be at disease in the cold, he is hurt by the warm.
Segiro (m) Dark Ice Goron
“To Whom It May Concern:
Go to the tavern at Hyli. The rewards will be great. The rest will be explained there. Show up, or you will die. I know where to find you.”
I crushed the letter into my hand, before dropping it into the pool of water before me, whereupon it floated down various waterfalls and out into the Lake Hylia. This cave was so dark, damp and full of ice cold water, it was almost like home. Almost. The retched stench of the outdoors filled me with every breath I took. The water was so clean, so pure, having flowed straight from the Zora Domain. Such vile creatures the Zora were, living in the water as if it were theirs and their only. In time, they will know the Segiro, for it will be the last name they ever know.
This letter was unexpected. Being forced to live in this small cave at the edge of the lake was demeaning enough, without being threatend by wanna-be villians. I fear no one, I have experienced living death and no idle threats will move me to do anything I do not wish to. I wonder, were there others that this note was sent to? I know of no one in this aged world, they are all fresh, daring... small. Hmm. Perhaps there was one. What was his name? Sul? Not that it matters. I'd imagine he was dead by now.
The prospect of great rewards interest me greatly though. I wonder, what would be so great that a gathering of dark souls would be required?
I reached for my cloak and wrapped it around my head and body. There aren't many Goron's these days with long silver hair and dark rock bodies. Hylia is a fair distance away to walk, I'd have to endure the sun for some time. This god forsaken world will know the true feeling of the cold when I'm through with it. Then I won't ever have to cool myself to walk in the day. I wisped a Veil of cold air around me, holding it close to my body with magic, and stepped out of the cave. I began my walk to the new town.
