The Pokemon Company has released a brief trailer of the upcoming anime special, Strongest Mega Evolution Act 1.
It features a new trainer named Alan and his Charizard. The special will follow their adventures through the Kalos region where his goal is to defeat every Mega Evolved Pokemon, including the Elite Four Siebold’s Mega Blastoise.
The special will air in Japan on April 3, 2014.

The Pokemon Daisuki Club in Japan has announced that members can participate in a special of Pokémon Battle Trozei contest where they can win one of two limited edition Nintendo 3DS LL’s featuring Pokémon Battle Trozei icons including new Pokemon from Pokemon X and Y and from past generations.
The April issue of CoroCoro magazine also revealed that they will be distributing a different Pokémon Battle Trozei themed Nintendo 3DS LL to 5 people. The Nintendo 3DS LL is black and features popular Pokemon including: Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Ho-oh, Lugia, Suicune, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Reshiram, Zekrom, Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, Xerneas and Yveltal.
Game Freak recently released the Pokemon Diamond & Pokemon Pearl Super Music Collection on iTunes.
The soundtrack is loaded with songs from the Nintendo DS games, all digitally remastered for the highest quality. You can pick up the entire soundtrack for $9.99, or add select tunes for 99 cents each.

The Pokemon Company and official Japanese football team sponsor Adidas have announced that Pikachu will be the official mascot for the Japanese football team for this summer’s 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
Pikachu will not be alone in his mascot duties. Pikachu will be joined by Meowth, Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, along with Pokemon X and Y newcomers Chespin, Froakie, Fennekin, Pancham, Helioptile, and Litleo.
The 2014 World Cup begins on June 12. Japan’s opponents include Ivory Coast, Greece, and Colombia.
