The final episode of Pokemon Smash has aired and with it a few more details about Pokemon X and Y.
The following video shows that you can have a Pokemon battle with each trainer having its own Mega Evolved Pokemon in play.

The Pokemon X and Y themed Nintendo 3DS XLs have now been released. Remember, supplies are limited so if you want to get a hold of one you better grab one now.
This also just includes the system with no games. If you can wait until October 12, Walmart has a deal where you can save $10 by purchasing either the red or blue 3DS XL system, plus Pokemon X or Y as a combo for only $229.96. Check out the deal here.
