You settle back down to the ground. Carlos doesn't seem to have any idea where Aeolus could have gone, unfortunately. Just as you begin to look for clues, a bright Flash of light bursts all around you. You're temporarily blinded and hear movement somewhere close to you. After a minute, your vision begins to return. Blinking, you look around. All is as it was before... except Carlos is now missing, too. Erandal'e looks surprised and anxious when he realizes his Pokemon pal is no longer present.

Suddenly, you notice footprints leading to the large mausoleum on the horizon.

Yay, I'm getting snatched. They should have taken me and the others too, at least I wouldn't have to run over there at least. Well, wearing Carlos as a hat was a stupid idea, but you have to admit that it looked adowable. Anyway, let's get to the Mausoleum! "They will probably await us, so ready a protect up just in case Erandal'e". If we get blinded again, I instantly recall her. They will regret taking away the most charming Slowpoke in existence.

Eager to get back your prized chapeau Slowpoke, you head toward the mausoleum. Erandale's puts up a Protect as you approach. There standing guard in front of the tall mausoleum doors are Sneasel and Nuzleaf.



"Welcome to the manor of Baron von Kadabra," the Sneasel says. "What is your business here?"

"Well, the guy is obviously here to get back those Pokemon we just nabbed," Nuzleaf whispers.

"Yes, obviously," Sneasel hisses, rolling his eyes, "but we're still supposed to ask what his business is even if we already know it. So! You there! What is your business with the Baron?"

"Well, you mentioned it already. I want my Pokémon back, nothing more. A Slowpoke and a Togetic. I don't want any trouble, and I'm not interested in a fight, so please, don't force me to do that and give them back, or let me pass at least. I'm not in the mood to fight today, as I've outmaneuvered a whole horde or Ariados and Spinarak, as well as commanded an army of Herdier and Lillipup. Would you be so kind now?"

"We'll take you to see the Baron, then," Nuzleaf says, inclining her head.

Sneasel and Nuzleaf open the heavy doors and lead you into the mausoleum. It's rather damp and smells of decay, but you're not about to turn back now. (And at least there don't seem to be any crazy Ariados in here, so that's good.) After winding through several corridors, Sneasel and Nuzleaf lead you into a cavernous chamber with a high-backed throne in the very center. Seated there is a surly Kadabra.



"You have reached the chamber of Baron von Kadabra," the Baron declares as you approach the throne. "What is your business?"

"He's here to see you because he wants his Pokemon back," Sneasel whispers.

"I assumed so," the Baron says, "but it's proper decorum for me to ask him nonetheless."

"Yeah, but isn't that sort of redundant? I mean, he literally just told us, so what's the point in you asking?" Nuzleaf says.

"Silence!" the Baron bellows. "Pokemon trainer! State your business!"

Suddenly, Erandal'e jabs you in the side of the neck. He points upwards with his wing. You glance up above and see Aeolus and Carlos dangling from the ceiling by chains. Carlos smiles dopily and waves.

Urgh. I repeat my previous speech, but I act way more polite. After I finished, "May I ask one thing. Why did you order to capture my Pokémon in the first place? It doesn't seem like you are that of bad guy. If you'd give them back and I could depart soon, I'd be more than thankful."

I really don't care about a Kadabra, though it's a cool Pokémon. Just want to leave as soon as possible.

"Well, it's rather dull being the Baron of Grave's Yard, you see," the Baron says, sighing. "I mostly just spend my time inventing random new laws and making my underlings enforce them. For example, as of last month, it is now illegal to wear red shoes on Friday. Did you know? Wear them if you don't believe me! I'll have you chained you up so fast you won't see it coming! It's also illegal to put yogurt on crackers, not that anyone does. Oh, and as of yesterday afternoon, all Pokemon not native to Grave's Yard are considered trespassers and are to be detained upon sight. No real reason. It just kind of amuses me. We tolerate the presence of humans and your Murkrow is fine, of course, as plenty of Murkrow live in Grave's Yard, but no Togetic and no Slowpoke allowed."

"That's a really stupid law, you know," Aeolus pipes in, still hanging from the ceiling. "Not that you asked me, but still. It's a stupid, stupid law."



"Yes, well, perhaps," the Baron says, tenting his fingers. "How about this? Human, since I am ever so bored, how about you entertain me by trying to solve three riddles? Well, they aren't really riddles, exactly, but... well, you'll see. Solve them and I'll free your friends and strike down the law. Oh, and if you're searching for any particular Pokemon in Grave's Yard, I'll tell you exactly where to go to find them."

"And I want you to replace the wreath your lackies tore up while they were apprehending me," Aeolus adds crossly.

"Yes, fine, that too," the Baron says. "What do you say, human?"

"The risk? Well, if you get the riddles wrong, I'll tell everyone you're very bad at riddles and that will be quite the predicament for you," the Baron explains. "You won't be able to set foot in Grave's Yard without numerous Pokemon declaring, 'Hey! There's that guy who is very bad at riddles! Let's laugh at that guy!' Such shame will be impossible to live down."

You're starting to get the impression the Baron is kind of a weird fellow. Suddenly, he snaps his fingers. A Psychic illusion materializes in front of you. It looks to be a Pokemon... sort of.



"This illusion here is a combination of three different Pokemon," the Baron explains. "Name the three Pokemon."

He snaps his fingers and another illusion appears to replace the last. It looks to be some kind of winged creature with a round body and a red face.

"It was a bit trickier indeed, but nothing I couldn't handle.
The Body seems to be Doduo, the wings are Ninjask. I'm certain the Tail is a Sigilyph, and the head is the claw of a Scizor. Fair enough, the Ears on the "head" are these ribbon things on the head of a Chingling."

May I remark that you sprite pretty good Oslo?

Just going to list this here, too lazy to put this whole thing in a nice flavour text D:

"Number 1, the first leg is a Cranidos. You almost fooled me with the second one, but I'm sure that it is from a Salamence now. Onward to number 3, the first arm is definitely from a Vigoroth, the second one, number 4, from a Beartic. Number 5, the body should be a Pinsir, number 6, the amulet is from a Houndoom. Number 7, regarding the crown is a bit opened, the head has to be from a male Jellicent. Three left here, the face, the "beard" and the flower. Number 8, the flower, is definitely a Shaymin's. The last two are a bit challenging. Number 9, the Face is from a Jumpluff, and finally, pretty much the hardest one, the beard. Number 10 is... well... hm..." I sit down on the ground, thinking hard. but srsly wtf, this takes ages to figure out I start mumbling. "Well it could be Eevee or Flareon again but... No... Arcanine? Nah, not... So many possibilities..."

I stand up again. "Well... Is this part of the riddle even possible to solve? I've been going through every Pokémon I know off, and I think, 659 is pretty much everything. So tell me, before I declare my last answer for Number 10, does this Pokémon even exist?"

Suddenly I burst out. "OH WAIT! Yes I know it! It's a female Hypno, aye?"

Before they can fall, Aeolus grabs onto Carlos and carries him safely to the ground. "Well done, Pokemon trainer. Your mental acuity is impressive. As a result, I will strike down my own law and permit foreign Pokemon to roam Grave's Yard freely once more. Moreover, as I said before, I will provide you with the location of any Pokemon you might be seeking. Let me know what Pokemon you wish to find and I will make it so."

"Thanks, by the way," Aeolus says to you, stretching. "Those chains were a real pain in the butt."

It's the one covered in wilting ivy. You can't miss it. She's rather competitive but ultimately good-natured. She likes a challenge. Tell her I sent you."

After a minute, Nuzleaf returns with a new wreath that she gives to Aeolus.



"Enjoy!" she says.

"Well, the wreath thing should only take a minute. I saw my great aunt Hera's tombstone just before I was nabbed, so now I know where it is," Aeolus explains. "I don't really have anywhere to be after that's finished and I'm kind of interested in watching you catch a Duosion, so I might follow you a little bit longer if that's fine with you."

You leave the Baron's mausoleum and return outside. You wind through the cemetery toward the Togekiss-shaped headstone and watch as Aeolus casually places the wreath beneath it. He seems relieved to have finished his task. With that out of the way, you follow the Baron's directions toward Duosion's mausoleum. Sure enough, you spy a large granite structure covered in wilting ivy just a hundred yards down from the Baron's dwelling. Bingo.

I would like to battle you, one on one, so that I might judge your skill for myself. If your Pokemon is able to weaken me to the point where you are able to capture me, then I'm all yours. If not, then I will send you off. Are we in agreement?"

If she wants to say anything else I listen closely, if not, we better get started. Erandal'e start things out with a quick taunt, afterwards, go disappear into the shadows and knock her over from behind. End with Foul Play, just to see how much that does without Status ups. If the taunt fails for whatever reason, use it again! (Except we get taunted ourselves, which would suck.)

Battle time! Larvitar and Litwick shuffle off to the side as you turn the mausoleum floor into a battlefield. Erandal'e starts out by getting nasty, telling Duosion she makes aborted fetuses look downright dapper by comparison. Duosion is overcome with anger and begins rolling around like mad, slamming the full weight of her body into your Murkrow. As Duosion builds speed, Erandal'e vanishes and reappears behind her, landing a quick slash of Dark-type energy—only to get rolled over yet again. Erandal'e finishes the round by unleashing a black swell of energy upon Duosion, but, surprise-surprise, she counters with another Rollout. Those things are ramping up in strength at an uncomfortable pace.

As Duosion comes barreling in for another powerful Rollout, Erandal'e rolls his eyes. Gurl, please. He whips up an impenetrable shield that stops Duosion's assault wholesale. Dazed, the amorphous Pokemon comes to a halt and gives her head a shake, leaving her vulnerable to a Thunder Wave. A snap of current leaves her Paralyzed; however, as it turns out, two can play at that game. She fights back with a sharp and forceful blast of Thunder, which leaves Erandal'e Paralyzed as well. Nuts! He scores a hit with another Foul Play but winds up falling victim to, yep, another Rollout. Here we go again.

Duosion's Taunt comes to an end.

If this Duosion happens to be paralysed at any point, and you are not, go for Foul Play instead. If she ever falls below 30, I will throw my Great Ball.

Time to get tricksy. Erandal'e waits for Duosion to deliver another rockin' Rollout and then melts into the shadows. Duosion puts on the brakes, just barely stopping herself from crashing into the wall, but can't stop herself from taking the Faint Attack from behind. She turns on a dime, growls and blasts Erandal'e with another Thunder attack. Erandal'e lets out a squawk of agony as electricity rips through his body. However, the tables turn without warning as Duosion suddenly succumbs to Paralysis. With a clear opening, Erandal'e attacks her with some Foul Play shenanigans. Super Luck even comes into play, resulting in a critical hit. Nice.

With that, you raise your Great Ball overhead and pitch it at Duosion. She turns bright red as she's sucked inside. Could this be it?

Yep! The Great Ball containing your new Pokemon teleports away.

You seemed, no you are very friendly and skilled, so, regarding everything that happened so far, it would be an honor to have you in my team! I know, it's a bit rushed once again, and I understand if you don't want to, but I'm certain you would be an excellent addition! What do you say?"

The Abra behind the counter hands you the balls containing Zubat, other Zubat, Lillipup, Duosion and Togetic. She smiles and wishes you a pleasant day.

You ask Rorschach whether he's up for Flying you and Nina to Skyline Terrace. He nods. Additionally, you suggest that Nina make Horcrux's disappearance look like a robbery.

"That plan doesn't sound like the best—well, whatever, I'll give it a shot. Wait here," she says before returning to the storage facility. You, Rorschach and Horcrux twiddle your thumbs for a few minutes waiting for her to return. After a bit, she comes back carrying a small purse. "Okay, I told the others the missing arm was stolen. It put quite the scare in them. I slipped out while they were calling the Old Village Police Department. Oh, you can have this. It's my money. 2000 Pokedollars. I figure we'll need some cash to get into Chadwick's event. Well, what are standing around for? Let's go!"

You accept the money and stow it in your pack. With Horcrux in your arms, you mount Rorschach and Nina does the same. Rorschach then kicks off and sets a course for Skyline Terrace. Peering down below, you watch as massive trees gradually begin to litter the landscape. Eventually, you settle down on one of Skyline Terrace's busy walkways.
