On March 8th, 2010, the governments of the world passed a law to prohibit gaming. The result were mass riots, people of all ages who loved gaming were outraged. However, they were soon subdued and the violent protests stopped.

Most of the general public didn’t care much for the reasons their government banned gaming, just that they had.

Officially, the reason was due to growing teenaged violence that would escalate as they matured into adulthood, and rising obesity rates.


April 9th, 2011 marked first appearance of strange pictures, most of them were of beautiful landscapes with similarities to worlds within games. Under them was a very straight forward red arrow pointing up.

The governments thought nothing of it.

The Underground: a community devoted to continued gaming. It is supported in secret by major corporations who wish the addiction that video games posed to continue.

NINTENDO, SONY, SQUARE-ENIX, The Pokémon Company, BUNGIE, BIOWARE are a few.


You are part of this underground.

You were once opposed to others because of different tastes; effectively you all have been forged into the most ragtag resistance force in recent history.


Most of Humanity has yet to truly realize the potential of the imagination and loyalty that it warrants from those who find themselves enthralled.

She stepped into the warehouse, eyes scanning those who were so deeply entranced by the worlds they were in. There was something almost magical about this entire scene; she never realized how deeply people connected and how loyal they were to something they loved.

“It will work, then…”

She smiled, and as she simply faded away, the few who were really absorbed by their games…

Appearance: 5’7’’, thin and lanky, Kate doesn’t have much on her. Though not going so far as to have no curves whatsoever, most women beat her when it comes to curves and something to hold on to. Her hair is long, almost perfectly straight and a deep brown colour. She wears mostly black cargo pants with a few chains hanging from them, with a tank top that is usually white or black. She had colourful bead bracelets and thick black leather ones. Her running shows are black and white with checkered laces. Also wears cute-dorky glasses and has hazel eyes.
Personality: Kate is an average 19 year old girl; she’s on the cusp on adulthood so she has an odd mixture of confidence and shyness. Usually she’s good natured, and good humoured, though she has a sarcastic edge to her. She has a bit of a problem talking to men, especially ones she finds attractive. Around women though, she’s more confident, and sometimes falls into the leader position.

History: Kate wasn’t a huge gamer, though if she did pick up a controller she was average or a bit above. When the ban came, her brother Ryan was really upset by it. He participated in a few ‘demonstrations’ that went south. The result was he was thrown in prison, while visiting him, he asked Kate to keep gaming. She asked him why and he said he just had a feeling that a really good game was coming soon and she should play. She joined the underGROUND, and was just getting into FFXIII when something changed.

Name: Sam Sternwell

Gender: Male
Appearance: Sam's about 6'4” in height, with rather well-developed abs, arms and legs. His hair is dirty blond, and that strange sort of wavy-straight which isn't quite curly and isn't quite straight. It's short, but in dire need of a cut, so he's constantly blowing his fringe out of his eyes, which are green. Clothing-wise, he favours pin-striped trousers (black), heavy-duty boots (black), and smart-casual shirts in a variety of colours (today it's dark green, yesterday it was a steely blue), which he wears untucked and open at the neck, two or three buttons undone.
Personality: Sam's a laidback kind of guy, who doesn't tend to make a fuss about anything. Not to say that he's completely bland, but he doesn't see the point in getting stressed out over things you can't do anything about. Which is why this was a surprise for anyone who thought they knew him, when he joined the underGROUND. Don't assume that he has no passions, just because he's laidback – he just chooses when and where to express his emotions. This is an exceptionally useful trait in his line of work – he's a “runner” for a popular television studio. In normal terms, this means he's a general dogsbody and the bitch of editors, producers and presenters. Knowing when to keep your mouth shut in the face of possible firing is always a good thing, in Sam's mind. He has the wit to know what to say to evil bosses (especially that bitch in editing), and the multi-tasking to be really damn good at his job.

Chosen Character: Albert Wesker
History: Sam was always a bit of a closet gamer to begin with, but he has his favourites and he's pretty hardcore within those, easily playing for entire days at a time, with little rest save for food breaks.
Sam's always harboured a desire to work in television, especially as a producer, and so when he landed a job at the studio when he was nineteen, he was overjoyed. A year later, however, and he was slightly less overjoyed. A year after that, and he was still no closer to getting the all-important contacts he needed to make it in the media world, and as a 21 year old who'd just finished a degree in media journalism, he was too fresh out of the pot to be much use. He acquired some researcher responsibilities on top of his running, and on the side, he used to write a witty column about video gaming for a small cult magazine. Obviously, the gaming ban curtailed his column-writing abilities, but the magazine was small to begin with, so making the switch to an underground zine wasn't really so much of a problem. It moved to a monthly production from a bi-monthly, giving the writers time enough to get their news together. Sam still reviews for them, so you may find him playing a game he despises with a grumpy expression on any given evening in underGROUND.
Gaming was sort of his secret addiction, helping him destress after a horrible day, so you can imagine how pissed off he was when gaming was banned. What, no Resident Evil 5 after a gruelling shift? No thank you. He joined underGROUND just as soon as he heard of it, and he's been a regular there ever since.
Other: Zero, zip, zilch, 0. No I lie. He knows Kat Blairre through the sheer frequency he has to visit the coffee shop she works at. He IS a runner after all, a massive part of his working day is fetching huge orders of coffees for all the staff.

Appearance: Reddish-brown hair, light green almond shaped eyes, shes very slender though not without muscle. Stands at around 5'8" and weighs about 135lbs. Likes to wear bright sunny colors, tight clothes and form fitting jeans with casual sneakers. Isnt a big fan of fashion though her style is a comfortable, casual one. Long hair with the locks framing her face shorter than the rest. Most of the time looks thoughtful and often looks dreamy, though she can be practical if the situation direly requires it.
Personality: Peaceful and non-violent most of the time, she rarely raises her voice in anger, though if she feels an injustice has been done or is lied to that rare anger could be ignited. For the most part shes mellow but is optimistic and exciteable about new things, seeing life as an adventure. Almost seems fearless, she has an underlying fear of failure and monotony, boredom or having nothing to do is her worst enemy. She loves puzzles and engages in challenging things for fun. LOVES a challenge, they are the spice of life according to her. Is very imaginative too and likes to create and build on stories.

History: Studying to be a doctor. Knowing that one day she would have to watch people die, knowing that you cant save everyone, for someone as kind as her hurts, though she doesnt regret her choice of career seeing as how she thinks the good can outweigh the bad. But because of this she sees video games as a nice way to escape from the world for awhile. As for the Underground, for her it was mainly the principle of the thing. She wasnt a hardcore gamer, but she liked to play every now and then to escape into a different world other than her own. She hates when someone tells her she cant do something and also hates ridiculous orders, and so she continues to play as a way to fight the unfairness of such a ban.

Appearance: Spence is about 6'2" with a somewhat muscular build. He has short very dark brown hair that looks black if you aren't looking closely, styled like this, and green eyes speckled with hazel. He wears glasses with hipstery thick black square frames. Clothing-wise, he usually goes with long-sleeve shirts layered with plain t-shirts over them, generally some mix of black, red, brown, green, orange, and white, and cycles between four pairs of jeans, all of which look thoroughly worn.
Personality: Spence is not your typical gamer. He is very outgoing and tries to get along with everyone. He likes joking around with people. He's generally a pushover, and deals with conflict poorly. He's usually very self-confident to the point where he's seen as cocky. In one-on-one private conversation he can be very deep, emotional, and sympathetic, but if he's in a group that all goes out the window and he focuses more on the group as a whole than any specific person, often ignoring someone if they're being emotional. Spence is also openly gay, but he sees it as just another fact about him and never really had any difficulty with it.

Chosen Character: Razputin "Raz" Aquato
History: Spence has always found a lot of enjoyment in video games, and grew up on Pokemon and Zelda. Until he was ten, almost all of his free time was spent on video games - he had few friends, aside from those who also played video games as much as he did. His parents finally said enough was enough, and limited the time he spent on games. He started making new friends at school who didn't play video games as much, and slowly he stopped playing them altogether, aside from Pokemon and Zelda which he still held near and dear to his heart. At 13, Spence came out as gay, which surprised nobody - he wasn't very flamboyant or anything, but it just seemed like a logical thing for him to be. When he was 15, he started dating Justin, who was always a very dedicated gamer and brought Spence back into his old obsession. He found a particular adoration for RPG platformers such as the Zelda games he was always so fond of, and the weirder or more obscure the plot, the better. When the boys were both 18, the laws against gaming came into being, and Justin became one of the leaders of an organization that organized several riots. Spence refused to take part in the riots, as he was never one to put himself in harm's way, especially at the hands of the government. One of the riots turned extremely violent and Justin was killed by a cop. Spence, extremely distressed by the death of his boyfriend of three years, found notes about the underGROUND in one of Justin's journals, and he instantly devoted himself to it.

Name: Luke Budokai

Age: 27
Gender: Male
Appearance: Luke stands a good 6 feet tall and weighs 199 lbs., with a tan and a lean, slightly chunky build. He wears black sneakers and bleached jeans that seem to be a size too big, and a T-shirt that typically depicts a video game (or, since the ban, anime) character under a short coat. His eyes are a solid green color, occasionally hidden behind reading glasses. Like his brother, his hair is a fiery color, but a far cleaner and more vivid, almost orange shade. He also has a black belt around his waist, which is imbued with a silver-colored buckle in the shape of the Screw Attack emblem.
Personality: Like his younger brother, Luke is something of a tech geek. He enjoys coding online games in his spare time, and he usually can navigate his way around electronics with little difficulty.
UNLIKE his younger brother, Luke has an attitude problem. He is serious, short-tempered, and can be very vindictive. Before the ban he was an okay guy, albeit kind of an asshole. However, he has become very volatile and hateful of the world around him ever since the ban took what he loves from him.

Chosen Character: The Engineer
History: As has likely been figured out by now, Luke Budokai is Roy Budokai's recondite elder brother. As a result, their histories are similar. He was born in the early 1980's and began playing video games at the age of 3, when he started fidgeting around one day on his mother's Intellivision. He has owned no less than 25 consoles throughout his life, due to his priveliged upbringing: A loving family, parents who rarely had relationship or financial problems, a college education he earned himself by working several jobs at a time... He's a lucky guy.
In 1993, Luke was informed by his parents that he would be getting a brother or sister. Later that year, Roy was born. Like all kids his age, Luke was nervous about the prospect of a sibling, and things between the two were shaky at first, but gradually, the two became inseparable. Roy, like his brother, picked up video games from a young age. He gravitated towards the SNES and Genesis at first, but with some coaxing from Luke, Roy got a healthy dose of NES and Atari games as well. The two were the best of friends and the greatest of rivals for years, always one-upping one another in some new game or challlenge...
That is, until the ban. Luke was hit very, VERY hard by the prohibition, and he even rioted and was arrested a couple of times for it. He was an adult, though... He would eventually have to just grit his teeth and bear the loss, and move on.
Roy, on the other hand, was still a teenager. Video games were his life. After the ban passed, Roy fell into a depression. He began to eat less, he would sleep for most of the day, and any attempts by his family to steer him towards a new hobby were met with silent, unmoving refusal.
One April 16th, 2010, Roy Budokai was found dead in his room. He had taken every bottle from the medicine cabinet in his bathroom and ingested no less than 3 full grams of unprescribed medication. In his hand was a shred of paper with the barely-legible words 'GAME OVER' scribbled on it in black marker.
It's been a full year since his brother's death. He has since taken up drinking and coding dark, twisted games for some of the last surviving gaming sites on the Internet, his brother's spirit haunting him every waking second. Helpless, angry at the world, and with nothing to lose, he now operates... underGROUND.
Other: His favorite video game was once Super Metroid... Since his brother's death, however, he has taken a new liking to the Legend of Zelda serie; his brother's Triforce neck charm never leaves his wallet.

Appearance: Has short, messy jet black hair, and hazel brown eyes. Stands roughly at 5' 10" with a fairly average build. Wears standard oval-shaped glasses. Doesn't care much about how he looks clothing-wise so long as what he wears is practical, convenient, and not too expensive. He is often seen wearing some form of green on his person, most likely on his shirt, casual jeans or pants, and shoes that fit the weather outside, since he knows that even gamers need to get out in the sun sometimes.
Personality: Lawrence is pretty much calm, cool, and collected when doing pretty much anything but playing video games. When he does play video games, he gets really serious, and absolutely hates it when something doesn't go right with a game, especially RPGs, and will complain and/or get angry and/or frustrated by the fact that the computer A.I. is just mocking him sometimes when he can't what he wants from the game. However, he only really does his "freak-out mode" for mainly franchise-based games.

History: Lawrence was a student at a local community college before the gaming ban hit worldwide. He was inspiring to become a writer of sorts hoping that he could one day write books to appeal to his reading audience. One of his main inspirations for becoming an author was the detailed stories written within most RPG games that he grew up with. When the gaming ban hit, he voiced complaints along the lines of "If you're going to ban video games, why not ban books and movies as well since they also involve imagination and the governments wouldn't want anyone to have any imagination whatsoever, would they?" He quickly joined the underGROUND shorty after his complaints fell on deaf ears and has been writing continuously to get gaming back into the public eye ever since his initiation.
Other: Collects strategy guides in his spare time when not writing or gaming.

Appearance: He has a fairly lanky appearance, although he stands around 5'9", his skin is very pale from spending most of his days inside and around the computer instead of outside. He has dark black hair, usually its greasy with some of it sticking straight up. He wears black shirts with usually a key phrase or word from his beliefs such as "Question Everything" or "Its a Lie" or "Conspiracy". He is very tech savy and carries around both a hacked IPhone as well as a Pocket PC.
Personality: He is a very cautious person, he still has the firey will to debate a person in a calm or collective manner, always measuring his words and knowing how to needle some one with facts. All of this still remains within him from his days working in the Student Council and the Debate Team. How ever he is opposed to killing, and will not do it unless forced to save his own life, he will find a way to incapacitate any enemy by non lethal force at almost any cost, or avoid a battle all together.

History: When he was young he took a interest in politics as a way to get closer to his father, joining the school debate team, and the student council and middle school and high school, he submersed himself into political culture and had a firm belief and support of the Government. That was until his father was shipped off to war, and died on the battlefield, the shock and trauma caused him to close himself off to what had been his world. He searched for a greater cause to his father's death, turning to Government conspiracies and other beliefs that he had once considered 'insane' and 'crack pot'. When the Government took away video games, one of his primary means to deal with his anger, and to communicate with others in his belief, it only fueled his beliefs now that the Government evil and controlling, with a sinister motive that must be stopped.
Other: Possibly the hardest character I will ever play as he pretty much is directly opposite myself in many views, but I am always up for a challenge.

Appearance: Standing at about 6 foot with a lean build, and a bit of an uneven tan (his lower arms and face are tanned, the rest of him isn’t. He has messy pale brown hair which falls down to his shoulders, rather friendly blue eyes behind a pair of glasses, and some slight stubble. His clothing tends to change though he seems to favour t-shirts (any colour) and long pants (that are NOT jeans. He doesn’t really like jeans), and a pair of white sneakers.
Personality: Normally quiet when you first meet him. When he opens up he’s a jovial, laid back sort of person. Normally non violent, his bark’s worse than his bite, and he tends to rant when angered about something. He has a bit of a selective memory. He can remember parts of a game’s plot with ease, yet can possibly forget if he locked a door or not five minutes ago. Overall, he’s a nice guy who’s easy to get along with.

History: Nicholas is a passionate gamer, always wanting to try any new game he hears about, though he’s more inclined towards a good story more than anything else. Needless to say, when the gaming ban came in, Nicholas was one unhappy camper. He took part in numerous demonstrations, but thankfully avoided arrest. When he heard of underground, he was more than happy to join up. He could enjoy the games he loved, and at the same time to take down the assholes who banned them in the first place.

Appearance: Skye stands at 6'1", lean and only slightly muscled. His messy brown hair is actually a badly-done dye job, so it's blended in with his natural blonde hair. He has hard, deep blue eyes that can freeze people in their tracks if he glares. One of his earlobes is pierced, with a simple silver hoop. His clothes are made for the workplace, usually slacks with a dress shirt. Despite that, people sometimes say that he looks like Link.
Personality: A man of few words, polite and subtle. He keeps a lot bottled inside, and usually has an unreadable look. But he has to hold back a lot to keep himself from taking action against injustice. Deep inside he's very chilvalrous, the sort of person you'd vision riding into battle on a horse. Unfortunately, his way of taking action involves his fists, which is why he has to hold himself back. He rarely smiles, and it's odd to see him do so.

History: Link wasn't a gamer until 2000 century, when he played his friend's copy of Ocarina of Time for the first time. After that, he was hooked on the whole franchise. He wanted to know more about the character and his history. His research time, however, was hindered by school and family. It was limited to Internet research and borrowed games from his classmates. It got worse when he went to college and became one of the school's top students. When the gaming ban occurred, he was angered that one of the best fictional characters (in his opinion) was going to disappear. He started buying up every Zelda game he could find. He also started up a fansite under his gamertag, full of fanwork.
Other: He's also started taking a liking to Fullmetal Alchemist, thanks to the gaming ban.

Personality: He is generally a friendly, but very competitive, person. He thrives in a challenge and often shines under pressure, although this can make him somewhat restless and impatient. He also gets stressed in the face of defeat or hopelessness. He is neither courageous nor cowardly, neither recklessly risking himself nor running away at the first sign of trouble. Instead he is confident in his abilities and tends to know when to act.

History: He is an amateur race-driver first, gamer second. Appearance: Lanky build, definitely not the athletic type. Stands about 5'11, when he's not slouched over. Has ink under his nails a lot as he uses an old typewriter to write his stories and writes notes with a fountain pen. Has long, light blond hair (chin length) that always looks ruffled like he couldn't be bothered to brush it. Though a silver beret usually covers it. His average looks are helped greatly by his bright blue eyes. Usually wears blue jeans and a white tee, with a overlarge plaid shirt over top (light blue, red and green checks). He wears gray sandals as often as he can.
Personality: Just an average dude, usually calm, doesn't bother anyone and generally drifts though life. Enjoys writing but is not passionate about anything. Even his freelance work is what catches his interest at the moment and he sees if he can sell the resulting research. When one day she stopped complaining he got curious and followed her to a underGROUND meeting. Intrigued he plays games there now and again in his spare time but isn't committed to any resistance. It's just a convenient place to go and hang out.

Appearance: Very thin, not anorexic-ly, but it's obvious she doesn't lift weights very often. Or heavy books for that matter; she gets her exercise by being a competitive runner. She is 5 foot on the dot. She has auburn coloured hair with blond highlights. It is relatively short and frames her heart shaped face. She also has blue eyes, but it's a very strange blue as they appear to be violet (think Elizabeth Taylor). She wears dark blue jeans that flare at the bottom and a white tee that it fitted. It has a design on it of a fish blowing bubbles with funny quotes in the bubbles. Like “I wish my thoughts could lite people on fire” or “It takes skill to trip on a flat surface.” She also wears aviator sunglasses and bright red sneakers.
Personality: Bright and bubbly one second, to angry and pouting in the other. She is very smart but likes to goof off more then concentrate on one thing at a time. She loves her games, though she rarely finishes any of them. She enjoys life to the fullest and has no cares in the world. Once she believes in a cause though she will throw her whole heart into it. A loyal, if hyper friend that takes a lot of energy to deal with. Does not hold grudges and forgives anyone of their misdeeds. Often accused of being very naïve and hates to be called stupid. She also thinks herself witty(sarcastic), playfully beats anyone who disagrees with her and generally believes the world is her play toy and friend.

History: She models for a living and when she can be bothered, goes to University. Though she never shows she somehow manages to get B's in her Art course (basing in photography). She reacted to the gaming ban BADLY. She enjoyed her games very much as a stress reliever from her job and when they were gone, she just couldn't get the same high from books. So she was one of the protesters, a very loud one that often ended up in jail. Though she always bailed herself out and went right back to being irritating them(cops). One day she found out about the underGROUND and was much happier. She stopped complaining, continued her life and all is right in the world now.

Appearance:
5'4", toned and busty, what people would call an hourglass figure. Her hair is straight, goes to her mid back and cut in layers. It's such a shade of dark brown that it's almost black, streaked with golden tones. Her eyes are a bright jaded green with specks of amber and skin-tone ivory, lightly touched by freckles.
She wears what she likes and what suits her body type. Always wears low cut jeans that are either skinny or flared. The only time you'd caught her in shorts is when working out and sometimes a skirt when clubbing, but besides that, even on a hot summer day, its jeans.
She's more open with her shirt style, but as casual wear you'd see her in some colored tank top with lace on the bottom or top, being layered by a form fitting graphic t-shirt that has a low cut neck. Since she's thinks that she is short, she tends to always wear a three inch heel (unless working out), be it boot or sandal and has perfected the art of running in them as if she is wearing running shoes.
Acessories are usually a necklace and some dangly earrings, having found that bracelets and rings are more of a annoyance so will only wear them out clubbing or on special days.
Personality:
Isabella is one of those girls who is known for being friendly to everyone, open-minded, cheerful, playful, good humored and tries to look on the bright side. She's extremely patience even to things that annoy her like ignorance people, but people who know her have seen that when her patience finally snaps, you better run. She's as patience as she is stubborn.
She has always been known to be mature and knowledgeable for her age since she was young, making her someone that her friends and acquaintances go to with problems or when they need advice. She never understood why people felt comfortable around her and just guessed it was because she was a good listener and tried to see the whole picture.
When it comes to guys, she's comfortable around them since she's grown up dealing with them. It's when guys see her as something besides friends that she gets shy or uncomfortable. She was never good at taking compliments, not knowing how to react to them and usually ends up looking away embarrassed. She does have her rare courageous moments when she'll be playful and sexy, but a thing like asking a guy out has always been something that she would always be afraid to do.

History:
Gaming is an activity that 'runs' in the family. Her father, older brother and all her older male cousins did it. It was a family activity and being the only girl in the new generation, she found a need to prove herself at a young age so she could fit in and spend time with her family. As a young child, she started by watching them play, analyzing the game play since she rarely got to join in, then she would play when her family would go to do something else. This method made it so she could quickly adapt to games and would leave her family surprised when they played against her to learn that her wasn't a button smasher and would occasionally beat them in a match, or beat a boss that they couldn't beat cause of growing frustration.
As the two player systems were put aside for the new ones that aloud four players, she got to play more with her family then with the computer graphic villains. Of course she was still young, being eleven at the time she still wasn't a hard challenge for the teenagers, but she again was learning quickly, and she entertained them during the times she was able to make a surprise kill, outshot someone, or win a race.
By the time she was a teenager, her family didn't view her as a girl that they needed to go easy on, but a gamer on equal standings as themselves. Now having set her ground, she tried different genres then the fighting, shooter and racing games that her family mostly played, and learned that her favorite genre was RPG styles that had good stories, something she thought was because she enjoyed reading as a pastime. Gaming had turned from a way of proving herself into something she loved, a break from reality. Even as she moved away for university along with her cousins, they all still played online.
With the banned, her family getting together online for such activities was over. Her father, being from a generation that didn't have video games since childhood was mad, but able to get over it and move on. Her older cousins, brother and she didn't. Some participated in a few demonstrations, but seeing how things were not going to change by the use of such actions, the family decided to lay low till they found another option. It was her favorite cousin Mike that learned about underGROUND and told the others, and soon they were all members. She was the only one of her family there when that woman arrived while she was replaying one of her favorite RPG games.
Other: Her friends call her Bella. She's also addicted to good coffee and owns her own espresso machine, but that doesn't stop her from hitting a cafe since she likes the atmoshpere.
When fighting spiders in games, she does tend to tense up, will scream if surprised, and when attacking she'll have her eyes 90% closed so that it becomes a blur and becomes 'less scary'.
She has a BA in English, and is now in her second year of getting her Masters.

Appearance: Amelia stands at around 5'6'' tall with a slim build. Her hair is golden blonde in colour, which is usually tied back, with bangs that compliment and frame her face shape. When down, her hair reaches a couple of inches below her shoulders and is nicely layered. Her jeans are a grey-blue colour, hipster in style, normally showing off the waste band of the girl boxers that she likes to wear (the pair she is wearing now have a black waste band, with “Smooth Mooooooves” written in red. The boxers are red with printed cows dancing to stereos), and flared at the bottom. Her belt, mainly just for show, has Pacman eating dots and chasing ghosts printed on it. She wears a hoodie that is a little too big for her which is plain black in colour. Underneath is a hot pink tank top and her converse are a similar colour, a little battered and dirty from wearing them so much. Her eyes are hazel, with glasses that are rectangular, quite thick rimmed, but only along the top and bridge of the nose, leaving just the glass edge along the bottom.
Personality: Normally described as quiet by those who don't really know her, but Amelia isn't as withdrawn as she seems at first. She likes to keep herself to herself, never really complaining or whining about things, just happily plodding along with life. She's quite a hard worker, despite the fact that she spends a lot of her free time playing games, getting quite good grades, because she practises a lot, whether it's drawing or getting past the tricky bosses. She has a few good friends at college, but spends more time with friends online than out in the open. Since the ban, her friends figured she might start coming out with them, but she didn't really... Despite her quietness, she is always quick to defend her actions, arguing back once she's built up enough frustration. Most of the time she's quite laid back, though, and nice to be around, often described as a good listener, mostly because she doesn't talk too much. Often daydreaming about something or another, whether it be another illustration or a part in a game she's got to.

Chosen Character: Ellis
History: Amelia pretty much grew up with computer games, always asking if she could watch her dad play, until she was old enough to play herself. She watched him play stuff like Doom, MDK (Murder, Death, Kill) and Tomb Raider. Oddly, she gained much more of an affinity to computer games than her younger brother did, much to the surprise of her parents. She would always save her pocket money to be able to buy the latest games. Her favourite kind of games were FPSs, as to her it was a good escape from life and a way to vent anger. She enjoys many other types of games, especially RPGs, but never has patience for puzzle games.
She had an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo DS before the ban. She managed to hide her DS, but willingly gave up her Xbox, which seemed very odd. It turned out that she'd taken the Hard Drive out of it in some vain hope of being able to play her games again. She was one of the first people to hear about underGROUND, there were around 20 gamers when she joined, and helped set up networks and such on which they could play games, taking particular interest in establishing their own version of Xbox Live so that she'd be able to play her FPSs “online” again.
Despite her love of games and her quite detailed knowledge of computers, she's actually studying Illustration and Graphic design. You wouldn't really have guessed it though, since she pretty much spends her time with her hands permanently glued to an Xbox controller. She doesn't often go to protests either.

Appearance: Olivia is 5'6" and quite petit. Her classmates consider her one of the most attractive girls in her high school. She has long blonde hair that she usually warps up in a bun and deep blue eyes, and her cheeks are lightly freckled. She wears very flashy or sophisticated clothing, and on the day in question, she was wearing a long sleeve black and white striped shirt with a grey body-hugging vest over it and long sleeved black skinny jeans.
Personality: Olivia is the typical popular Queen Bee by day; all of the girls want to be her, all of the guys want to do her. She seems very superficial, and mostly gets the attention she's a rich bitch. She likes to involve herself in extracurriculars simply to be known. However, those who really get to know her find that she is a completely different person; she's truly nice and likable, but is mean to others because it's what's expected of her. She hates the social pressure on her and turns to video games as an escape, immersing herself fully in the world of the game.

History: Olivia grew up with very rich parents who were constantly off on business trips. Anything she asked for got bought for her. For a little while, she was largely raised by her nanny, Alicia. Alicia was a college student who greatly enjoyed video games, and started playing them with Olivia, who found she really liked them. When Olivia was 12, Alicia quit to go to grad school, but Olivia kept playing video games, and thanks to her parents she got all of the latest systems and games. Olivia particularly enjoyed any game with a complex story taking place in another world, such as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. When the gaming ban started, Olivia went into a depression and tried to kill herself; as a result, she had to go to a therapist. The therapist was a closet gamer who introduced her to the underGROUND, which got Olivia back on her feet mentally and became her new livelihood.
Other: Tacos! Went to high school with Spence.

EDIT: Changed my mind on which character/game I wanted Olivia to be. Axel worked more for her original personality cuz I changed her from shy and timid to Queen Bee. I think this way she plays off Spence much better which was part of my point in a second character anyway.

I just love his stories! XD And his funny accent. I want to play more, but my bf's Xbox is currently occupied by FFXIII and Bioshock 2 D: (Not that this is a BAD thing, mind. He's played lots of FFXIII, I haven't >_>)
