Well now. Rotom sure seems confident, with its sub flying about. Thunderhand watches the clouds as their Lightning bolts, hoping for a hit to his body. The phantom however, wishes they'd miss, despite its affinity. A Shadowball goes coursing through the air, striking Thunderhand as he rallies for a better option. The big beast takes the hit, then splits off a Substitute of its own, that stands in a strange pose.

Shaking off the first strike, Thunderhand now tries a Thunder all its own. The massive blast rains down on Rotom's Sub. The Sub withstands the blow...and retaliation is met by a chilling wind, as Lightning flashes down between them a few times. The Wind rips the Sub asunder, but Thunderhand doesn't mind.

Exposed once again, Thunderhand is greeted by a second Shadowball. He flies back, and is also struck by lightning. That's the last thing Rotom needs. The beast gets up, crackling with newfound speed and yells its heart out. The Taunting though ticks Rotom off, and the ghost sparks with vigor itself.

Nah, but on a more serious note, Darkly, do you ref Substitute as having the same strengths and weaknesses as the maker of said Substitute? As in, if I were to have Thunderhand use Focus Blast, would it hit the Substitute or not?

Good question.

Substitute carries the same weaknesses and strengths of its maker. So yes, Focus Blast would irrevocably miss the Substitute by Pokephysics.

MLG vs Draconis and Oslo vs Ayeun would be the ones I want subs for. I've also got Asi vs Ben, but they take forever anyway, so I'm more likely to tell them to hurry up than the other way around. I haven't bothered reffing Oslo v. Ayeun since Oslo is on vacation and I've been busy and distracted. I'll ref it when I see safzone stuff from him.

Rotom and his sturdy sub float back a bit in order to give their Shadowball Barrage some berth. Thunderhand does not like the way this looks and starts to call upon its own mental prowess. The mental blast flies unabated by the Shadowballs's wide arc, and the sphere slams into Thunderhand's chest. As he falls back the metal blast forces the Rotom Sub to crinkle...but still some stands.

Rotom continues to fire, and Thunderhand is hard pressed to keep the speed advantage after being knocked down form that last blow. Stones come from below, smashing Rotom's sub and obliterating it and harming the platform a bit. Rotom sinks in altitude, but is still within the save zone. A Seconds Shadowball to the chest leaves Thunderhand weezing for air.

Unaffected...and more so just damned peeved at this electric crapcat, Rotom delivers a third Shadowball, but this time he's hit backwards by a invisible force. That stopped his anger, cause he wasn't sure where that came from. Thunderhand grunts from the third blast, and tries to figure this out...

Thunderhand, we haven't used this move in awhile... Use Psy Sling: Sidestep (in the air, whatever the word for that is) each Shadow Ball and use Psychic to 'catch' them, spin them around you, and use their own momentum to fling them back at Rotom.

The battle rages on, with Rotom now lobbing a Shadowball at Thunderhand. As the sphere gets close, Hand raises his appendages and swings himself to the left. The Shadowball flies back, but suddenly starts to bend and whip back toward Rotom. The ghost is unsure what happened, and is collided by his own attack!

Rotom reeled back from the blow. Now here was a dilemma. That was his own attack used against him. Surely that can't happen again right! A second Shadowball was thrown at Hand, and Hand once again sidesteps the ball, lets it whip around his body and throws the blast back at Rotom. Rotom sinks down a bit, but does not fall into the deep end.

This is a great turn around, within two moves, Thunderhand takes command of this match one again. Rotom tries this once more and Thunder hand makes a vertical Psy Sling, looping the Shadowball back in a luge-like manner and smashes into Rotom, taking him out of the match.

Alright Thunderhand, don't give him any breathing room. Use Taunt until it works, then blast that thing into the snow-zone layer with your Thunderbolt. If you have time left, use Charge Beam.

If it tries Taunting you before you can Taunt it, drown it out with Uproar.

o.O I know I answered this. Uproar is a sound based attack, a shrill scream/yell that can deafen other sounds as well as keep others awake.

Hmm... OK. Gonna try this then. So, back in my match with Weas, taunt worked, even though there is no sound in space. Which means that I should be able to give visual gestures to get my message across. So, Taunt his 'vire with visual gestures. That should get him uproaring instead of taunting.

Then, charge up a bit above him in case he tries to freeze us while plotting some Nasty Plots. Finally, shoot off a Shadow Ball. Theoretically, he should be trying to Taunt me instead of hitting me, but meh. And if you are taunted, use Shadow Ball.

Still in the skies of this raging planet, Chaos reveals his final Pokemon of the match. It lands with a thud, before a thin purplish gas seeps out of eh rock. The phantasm stretches to incorporate a image of a face, something Thunderhand didn't expect.

But does Thunderhand care? No. He's super fast! He starts spitting insults out like no tomorrow. I don't think that's the best thing to do though, as Tyrant, grunts about being called a Snorlax's fart. A Shadowball reams the cocky electric type in the face, and almost sends him off the platform!

A second Shadowball was fired by Tyrant, just as 'vire shoots off a Thunderbolt from its tailnodes. Hand was huffing, this round prolly would be its last. The two attacks met and exploded, forcing both Pokemon backwards. The air clears, and Thunderhand lies on its disk, while Tyrant looks on in bleeping anguish

Thunderhand down, Blade releases his final Pokemon for this match. It flies around the safe zone, to Tyrant's dismay. Robirdo shrieks, and starts the match by yelling at the phantom. Tyrant is kinda twearked about that, and fires off a Shock Wave that zaps the bird and causes it to fall a few feet. But Robirdo recovers, and flies back into view.

Smirking, Robirdo watches as Tyrant tries to fire off another Shock Wave, only to be crippled in its action. The ghost groans and then hears how its like a cloud, light fluffy and ultimately inferior to any animal that flies, like him!

Tyrant then feels even worse, as he's tongue tied! This leaves Robirdo to fly right up on the keystone ghost, and fires off a blade of air. It slices through Tyrant, giving him something to think about.

1) If a pokemon uses Taunt on a pokemon that is already taunted, does the duration extend/reset? If YES, go to 3. If NO, go to 2.
