Kys attempts to mock the absol's inability to use safeguard by spitting out an acidic blast from within. The toxic goo merely hits Bkau's protective veil, making a clapping sound as it does so [ -5PP Kys-o-Deth / -7PP Nehebkau ].

Confidence regained, Bkau decides to end it all with a punishing wail. Kys attempts to cover her ears with her wings, but nothing can escape the soundtrack of imminent death [ -7PP Nehebkau / Perish Song activated ]. Angry with her opponent, Kys fires off another sphere of fighting energy that collides harshly with the absol [ -15HP Nehebkau / -7PP Kys-o-Deth ]. If she was going down, he was going down first, she thought.

With the game afoot, Bkau leaps high into the air with his tail covered in earthly energy. BAM!, he slams his rocky tail into the flying pokemon, dealing considerable damage [ -15HP Kys-o-Deth / -8PP Nehebkau ]. Kys, again, hits the ground and, feeling woozy, fires off several daggers of electricity that snap into Nehebkau instantly [ -6HP Nehebkau / -4PP Kys-o-Deth ].

Bkau enters fighting mode, shooting off a thunderbolt. The blade of lightning shoots through the air instantly, stabbing the togekiss harshly [ -15HP Kys-o-Deth / -7PP Nehebkau ]. Kys cries out, but remains strong as she shoots off another aura sphere that hits the absol's side [ -15HP Nehebkau / -7PP Kys-o-Deth ].

Bkau readies himself for his next attack, but before he can act, one of the nine mysterious armors that moderate the battle, Illusion, moves forward. Its eye holes emit a pinkish-glow as it telepathically lifts several rocks from around the arena. Bkau and Kys merely watch in awe for a few moments before they are pelted with the large rocks harshly [ -10HP Nehebkau / -15HP Kys-o-Deth / -10PP Illusion ]. Bkau shakes off the attack with relative ease before firing off another blade -- of ice, this time -- towards the flying pokemon [ -15HP Kys-o-Deth / -7PP Nehebkau ]. Kys merely retaliates with another aura sphere [ -15HP Nehebkau / -7PP Kys-o-Deth ].

Illusion glares, or at least appears to glare, at Bkau, attempting to lift up with dark wolfmon with its thoughts. Unfortunately, the mental prowess of an ancient armor is unable to do so with Bkau's immunity [ -10PP Illusion ]. Bkau scoffs, leaping into the air and striking Kys with another strong rock attack [ -15HP Kys-o-Deth / -7PP Nehebkau ]. Kys' eyes glow, and she strikes back with a powerful counterattack, sending Bkau straight to the floor [ -19HP Nehebkau / -14PP Kys-o-Deth ], defeating him.

With his absol defeated, Mew Master calls out his final pokemon -- a shiny, red tyranno who roars out loud to express her dominance over the tinier, cuddlier togekiss. Kys braces herself for impact before Tarasque bashes her fragile body with a strong stone edge [ -12HP Kys-o-Deth / -8PP Tarasque ], instantly knocking her out!

At the end of the ninth round, the perish song ends, taking no pokemon with it. Illusion, perhaps bored with the battle, hobbles back to his spot in the arena and powers down.

It's down to the final two. Darwin, having replaced Kys, enters the battlefield with an aura of confidence about her. The epic battle between a kangaroo and a dinosaur starts with Tarasque focusing a good portion of her health into a miniature-sized doll clone [ -15HP Tarasque / -5PP Tarasque / +15HP Substitute ]. Darwin keeps her mind at ease and hobbles over to the miniature rampardos doll -- hypnotized into believing that it was the real deal. Darwin pulls back her fist and throws it forward, demolishing the substitute in one right hook [ -15HP Substitute / -10PP Darwin ].

Feeling a little intimidated, Tarasque summons a heavy amount of energy and forces it outward in a beam-form. The sudden blast of fighting energy crashes into Darwin, knocking her to the ground easily [ -18HP Darwin / -10PP Tarasque ]. Darwin struggles for a second before snapping her fingers, creating a score of doppelgangers to surround her -- four, precisely [ -8PP Darwin / +50% Eva Darwin ].

Tarasque ponders over which roo is which, and decides that the one in the dead center is her. But as he readies his last attack, he feels... soft. Darwin's pipes release a soothing song, putting the red tyrannosaur to sleep [ -3PP Darwin / +100% Slp Tarasque ].

With her foe snoozing soundly, Darwin takes this opportunity to walk over to him and sock him hard in the jaw, sapping away his lifeforce [ -9HP Tarasque / -6PP Darwin / +5HP Darwin ]. Tarasque, still sleeping, tilts his head down and charges forward. Darwin cries out as the tyrannosaur carries her into a wall with his massive head. The concussive hit does heavy damage to both pokemon [ -15HP Darwin / -7HP Tarasque / -50% Eva Darwin ], and wakes Tarasque up.

Darwin, very sore, raises her arms to the sky, and the clouds vanish -- leaving only the bright yellow sun and the blue skies around [ -7PP Darwin / Sunny Day activated ]. Tarasque, slightly groggy, fires off a series of electric bullets to hit the kangaroo [ -6HP Darwin / -4PP Tarasque ].

With the sun shining high above, Darwin charges up a powerful attack. As she does, Tarasque blindsides her with a terrible toxic blast, [ -5PP Tarasque / Tox Darwin ]. Darwin struggles for a second before shooting off the beam of pure solar energy -- the blast manages to knock Tarasque to the floor dangerously [ -18HP Tarasque / -10PP Darwin / -1HP Darwin ].

He wants to play weather games, fine.

Use the Sunny Day and Fire Blast him for all you've got. If he switches to Rainy Day, use Thunder. If he goes Hail, then Bring out Blizzard. If he tries for a Double Team, then Shockwave. If he tries that bloody Singing again, Drown it out with a Roar. Finally, if you can't use Fire Blast, switch to Flamethrower.

Tarasque, taking advantage of the heavy sunlight raining upon him, takes after his dragon brethren and spits out a massive blast of fire. The flames form a star-shape as they sail through the sky, brushing against the kangaskhan harshly [ -18HP Darwin / -10PP Tarasque ] -- the flames much stronger due to the sunlight. Aggravated by the hit, Darwin recovers and shoots off another solar beam which takes the rampardos by no surprise [ -18HP Tarasque / -10PP Darwin / -1HP Darwin ].

Second verse, same as the first. Fire blast, followed by a solar beam [ -18HP Darwin / -18HP Tarasque / -10PP Tarasque / -10PP Darwin / -1HP Darwin ].

Tarasque knows he can't take another hit like that, and decides to put a little more spin on the attack to give her a run for her money. He spits out one final blast of fire and strikes the kangaskhan harshly [ -18HP Darwin / -10PP Tarasque ]. It doesn't work -- she still lives; with a devilish smirk, Darwin releases another solar beam [ -15HP Tarasque / -10PP Darwin / -1HP Darwin ], taking down the red rampardos once and for all.
