From Bulbapedia: If the user is a Flying-type, it will lose its Flying-type (thus being treated as a single-type Pokémon) until the next turn.
Are you saying that, because the Movelist makes no mention of this effect, it shouldn't be reffed as such?
Aye -- we made that change because the stipulation posits that all flying-type pokémon are only flying-type when they're in the air, which doesn't make sense when you consider that none of the other pokémon that can fly (but aren't of the type) are weak or resistant to the things flying-type pokémon are.
-Grey
Ooh, good point. That squares with how I've reffed the Flying immunity in the past (e.g., a Charizard using Dig immune to Earthquake). I've changed the damage output from Blizzard.

The battle continues as Shin springs to life, awake once more. Huzzah! She blasts Montezuma with an Ice Beam that comes super clone to defeating her opponent, but alas, it's not quite enough. Montezuma uses this opening to land what will almost certainly be her final attack of the battle: an Air Slash. At this rate, it won't be long before there's nothing left of Shin but a plate of ceviche. SHIN

Mikachu's third and final Pokemon takes to the field in a swell of light. A little atomic mirror thing hops into battle, ready to kick some froggy butt. However, before Brooh can do that, Shin shoots off a burst of black energy. Remember the days when that wouldn't have been super effective? Welp, it's definitely super effective now, but it doesn't stop Brooh from firing back with a red-green dual energy beam. Shin is thrown back and grimaces. Friggin' Christmas colours. That shit was supposed to be over days ago. SHIN

May I ask something? I'm not familiar with Protean Ability. If the user performs, for instance, a Flying-type move, does it mean it becomes weak against Ice? I had a bit of trouble choosing my moves when facing Greyfox's Shin because of that and I felt myself so embarrassed that I didn't ask until now :/
There's no need to be embarrassed! None of us know everything. Basically, Protean works exactly as you described. When Shin used Ice Beam, she became a pure Ice-type Pokemon and had all the weaknesses/resistances that go along with that typing. When Shin used Dark Pulse, she became a pure Dark-type Pokemon, so your Signal Beams were super effective.
If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. I like to be helpful. Also, we have the Stratedex to clear up any confusion surrounding abilities.
I choose Samurai, my male dewott with @Shell Armor.

More Water starter evolutions, huh? Banning Dig.
What can I say? Water starters are my favorite. Banning Solar Beam.

Brooh, use Confuse Ray.
Then Metal Sound!
End with Charge Beam.
If he manages to Taunt you, just start Charge Beaming as early as you can.
Aqua Jet + Assurance to avoid the Confuse Ray and do some damage, then use Rock Smash!

-4 EP With Reggae blasting in full force, Greyfox releases his third and final Pokemon. A badass little sea otter who has over-accessorized with scallop shells takes to the field and beats his chest. Brooh tries to throw the otter into a daze with a radiant pulse of light, but Samurai is ready. Water bursts around his body as he goes skidding forward across the field. He dekes out of the way of the Confuse Ray and collides with Brooh, coupling that aquatic tackle with a Dark-type swipe. Brooh takes a bit of a tumble. That was a lot to deal with at once. SAMURAI
