Ok this is a special one to get my last Pokemon into some action.

Baby Pokemon only in this one..

so thats...Magby, Elekid, Cleffa, Igglybuff, Pichu, Smoochum and any others that i may have missed.

Standard One on One, usual cheap moves banned (ohko´s etc) and with a more interesting arena.

Arena: Childrens playground.
Hard Rubber Floor (safety paving or whatever, not bouncy but could melt) with assorted Swings, Slides, Roundabouts, tyre tubes and climbing frames etc all bordered by a nice white picket fence. Sounds lovely....

Right. Ill send out first and my opponent can attack first.

Ill go with Pichu!

*Battle*
The trainers arrive at a childrens playground, intent on turning it to a battlefield. The challengee, Ultimate Charizard, throws out a pokeball revealing a small Pichu. Dark Sage grins, and tosses his own pokeball which pops open to reveal a small Smoochum named Yumi. As the trainers shout their commands, the pokemon look a bit disappointed that they are going to battle instead of playing, but they nod and get ready to go.

Pichu closes his eyes and puts his hands together, calling for a rainstorm. Suddenly dark clouds cover the sky, and a light rain starts falling on the previously sunny arena. Yumi seems a bit disappointed at the now gloomy arena, but she follows her orders and closes her eyes, concentrating. Suddenly, 2 clones of herself appear on either side of her, and all 3 open their eyes and smile.

Not wasting any time, the 3 small pokemon start running toward Pichu, puckering their lips. Pichu looks a bit intimidated, but he closes his eyes and makes himself a couple of clones. With the newly improved odds, the Pichu stand ready to recieve the onslaught of kisses. The Smoochum decide to go after the closest mouse, and all 3 plant a nice wet kiss on his cheek. To their suprise, the electric type disappears right before their eyes, and they pout a bit at their failed attack.

The 2 remaining Pichu laugh, and then start jumping around as their cheeks begin to spark. The kissing pokemon don't feel like getting shocked, especially with the rain in effect, and they hold their hands outstretched as a translucent shield surrounds them. The mice fire off their electric shocks toward the trio, but it simply bounces off the shield and harmlessly falls to the ground below, which is not quite wet enough to conduct the charge.

As round 1 ends, it seems neither pokemon has made much progress so far. The light rain continues over the arena, and the trainers ponder their next moves.

Round 2! The pokemon are still full of energy and ready to go. The trainers shout their commands, and its on!

Pichu makes the first move this time. His cheeks spark, and using his electricity, causes his whole body to glow very brightly for a second. This has a similar effect as a camera flash, and Smoochum blinks her eyes, seeing a bright blurr in the center of them. She doesn't let it bother her too much, and she closes her eyes and concentrates. Using her powers of ice control, she manipulates the moisture in the clouds, causing them to get very cold. The rain falling soon turns to small ice crystals, which fall to the ground, pelting the arena. Yumi is able to use her ice powers to avoid getting damaged, but Pichu isn't so lucky, and he covers his head as he gets pelted, and his remaining clone disappears.

For a second, Pichu shakes off his discomfort, and opens his small mouth. Out of his mouth he fires dozens of tiny star shaped rays, which pelt Yumi and her 2 clones. The clones disappear as Yumi falls to the ground after the barrage. She pulls herself up, and closes her eyes once more, using her psychic power to seek out and crush the small mouse pokemon. He cries out in pain as he is lifted off the ground slightly, squeezed, and then dropped to the ground below. As he gets up, he again gets a reminder of the weather as he is pelted with more of the falling ice crystals.

Yumi smiles at Pichu's discomfort, and takes the opportunity to strike. She builds ice power on her lips, and then fires it forward toward Pichu. But without the help of her psychic powers, and still having slightly blurred vision, she is a bit off target, and the beam only grazes the small mouse on the side, causing minor damage and not concentrated enough to freeze. The full blast, however, goes on to hit the slide behind Pichu, and it freezes over as the ice energy hits it. With growing frustration from the falling ice, Pichu's cheeks begin to spark again, this time much more vigrously. He lets out a cry and sends a powerful arc of electricity toward the pink pokemon. She yelps as the electricity courses through her body, causing a slight loss of muscle control, but not enough to cause any real harm. As Pichu cuts off his electric attack, he again covers his head to avoid the onslaught of falling ice.

And round 2 draws to a close. The hail shows no signs of letting up, and both pokemon have taken a good deal of punishment this round. Yumi's vision has more or less cleared, though she does look a bit shocked. Pichu is obviously not happy with the weather.

As the third round of the baby pokemon battle comes up, it seems neither pokemon is willing to give up just yet. Though small in size, they have spirit! The trainers shout their commands, and its on.

Pichu starts the round, folding his hands as he prays for rain. Being much harder to turn hail to rain, he expends a signifigant amount of time and energy doing so, but he lets out a sigh of relief as the falling ice fades into rain. While the change in the weather is underway, Yumi has closed her eyes, focusing as 2 more Smoochum flash into existance. The trio smiles, not bothered too much by the weather change.

Pichu wastes little time performing his next order. As electricity flows through his cheeks, he releases the energy in a bright flash of light, once again blinding Yumi with light. She and her clones blink, trying to make out the location of Pichu, and in rage begin building a large amount of ice energy. They release their energy in a flurry of freezing wind and chunks of pure ice. Pichu has little trouble dodging the icy blast, jumping slightly to the side of the attack, which was not aimed well in the first place. The attack rushes past him, encasing yet another piece of playground equipment (monkey bars) in a thick icy coating.

Unsure of the resault of their attack, the 3 Yumi's sit on the ground, relaxing as they continue to blink, vision blurred. The electric type is happy to take advantage of this situation, and electricity sparks all across his body. He lets out a cry as he sends a wide arc of electricity toward the baby Jynx's. Amplified by the falling rain, the electricity strikes the unsuspecting trio. They scream as the electricity courses through them, 2 of them disappearing as quickly as they appeared. The energy flows over the ground, through the water and melting ice is beginning to gather over the ground, shocking the entire arena with a powerful electric current. As Pichu ceases the current, the field sparks as the remaining energy dissipates into the ground. Yumi falls to the ground, feeling her muscles lock up with the sheer power of the electric attack.

As the rain continues to fall, Pichu smiles to himself, very happy with his performance so far. Yumi continues to lie on the ground, paralyzed, and vision still a bit blurry.

Finish the round by taking advantage of the Waterlogged Floor with a second Thunder. If the Rain has been turned to Hail again use Thunderbolt instead.

We're into round 4 of this battle, and it seems its picking up a bit. The trainers are ready, the pokemon are ready, and here we go.

The small electric type once again makes the first move, as his body and cheeks spark vigorously. Yumi takes this chance, pulls herself off the ground, and starts singing a soothing lullaby, not effected by her blurred vision. Pichu's eyes droop even as he continues sparking. He is a bit tired, and the lullaby takes effect. He drops to the ground, curls up, and starts breathing deeply. Yumi smiles as the electric energy dissipates, though the water does conduct a bit of it around the arena and she gets a mild shock.

Not wasting any time, she quickly focuses, building water energy in her mouth. She shoots out a pulse of water right on target, laced with strange sound waves. Boosted by the falling rain, the aqua attack hits the sleeping Pichu, sending him tumbling backwards. He finally comes to a stop, and jarred out of his nap by the water, rubs his eyes as he stands up. Still a bit sleepy, he doesn't remember his order, and just stands there gazing at Yumi.

But he quickly snaps out of his sleepiness... he once more begins building electric energy for a powerful attack. Yumi gets ready with her own attack, but as she builds ice energy on her lips suddenly her muscles begin to lock up. She stands twitching, unable to launch an attack or attempt an evasive manuever. Pichu has no such problem, though, and he lets out a cry as he launches yet another large arc of electricity upon little Yumi. She winces in pain as the energy pulses throughout her body, again amplified by the wet arena.

As Yumi recovers from her paralysis bout, too little too late, she sees Pichu smiling at her tauntingly. Pichu is pretty soaked, but otherwise he's good.

Get in Quick with a Double Team then use Thunderbolt twice.

Round 5! Both opponents are starting to tire, but it doesn't look like they're ready to throw in the towel just yet (though a towel could be useful with all this water ). As the trainers shout their commands, the combatants get right to it.

The electric type Pichu closes his eyes, concentrating. As he does so, a couple of body clones appear beside him. He opens his eyes to see Yumi building up ice energy on her lips. She opens her mouth and blows out a freezing wind, complete with chunks of pure ice. The Pichu dive aside, but one of them gets caught in the cold attack... as luck would have it, the real one. He shrieks as the wind blows him backwards and he gets pelted with chunks of ice. He finally comes to a stop on the ground, pummeled and cold, and sees that his clones have disappeared as well.

As he gets up off the ground, his cheeks begin to spark. He quickly launches a bolt of electricity at the small pink pokemon, who closes her eyes, preparing for the pain of yet another electric burst. She grunts as the electricity flows through her body, and as the attack ceases, she builds up a burst of water in her mouth. With one quick movement she sends the water attack flying toward Pichu. He is knocked off his feet by the force of the attack, and as he gets up he finds that he is a bit dizzy.

Shaking the effect off for the moment, he once again begins to spark furiously. Another bolt of lightning is flying toward Yumi shortly, and she tries in vain to dodge to the quick bolt. She cries out as the energy courses through her and the arena. As the electricity subsides, she pulls herself together and launches one more burst of water toward the mouse. He manages to keep from getting knocked over this time, but after the attack is done he stumbles around and falls to the ground, confused.

As this round closes, Yumi looks to the sky happily as the rain finally subsides. The arena starts to drain immedietly, the builders obviously doing a fair job on this particular playground. Pichu, on the other hand, continues to lie on the ground, attempting to regain his bearings.

Then, use your own Double Team again.

Then, when he comes at you for a Double Slap, try to hit him with a Shadow Ball.

Normally I'd ref Light Screen as its listed in the attack list, but since I didn't mention that beforehand, I'll let it have the conventional effect for this battle.

As the arena continues to slowly dry, round 6 is about to begin. The trainers think for a while, then shout their commands to their respective pokemon.

Pichu stands, attempting to tap into his electric energy to cause a flash of light. But his thoughts are still scrambled, and he stumbles around for a while until he runs into the frozen slide. He falls over and rubs his head as Yumi giggles, then focuses. She holds her hand forward, and creates a faint, translucent yellow screen in front of her, attempting to weaken future special attacks.

Pichu stands up, and once again attempts his commanded action. But again, he finds himself too dizzy, and though he doesn't stumble around this time, he does fall on the ground taking minor damage. But it seems the fall has cleared his confusion, and though a bit hurt he is certainly better off now. Yumi laughs at Pichu yet again, until her paralysis kicks in, and she twitches in place, unable to follow her order either.

The electric type stands up yet again, and this time know's he'll be successful at his order. He runs up to Yumi, and repeatedly smacks her with his small hands. She lets out a minor cry with each hit, and as the assault ends she glares angerly at Pichu. She holds out her hands, forming a small, pink ball of mysterious energy between them. She whips one hand forward, sending the energy ball flying at Pichu, who shrieks as the ball makes contact with him. It causes a small explosion, knocking him over and at the same time causing internal damage to him.

As he pulls himself off the ground, he looks toward Yumi, who has some minor bruises on her face. The arena is fairly well drained by now, just a bit of dampness remaining. Pichu looks to be a bit tired, but otherwise he's in good shape.

Dang, we're behind.

Yumi, try to use Sing again to slow him down. At the very least, he'll waste time and energy protecting itself.

If it puts him to sleep, spend your next action relaxing. If it doesn't, try to use Double Team again.

Then, use Blizzard again, to try to hurt him bad.

Ok well start with Protect. We cant afford a snooze at this point. Follow up with Swift since they will have double team in effect and then Finish with Thunderbolt.

Round 7, and the pokemon are still going strong. The trainers waste no time, and as they shout their orders the pokemon nod in reply and face one another once more.

Yumi closes her eyes and starts singing her best lullaby. The mouse pokemon is hardly in the mood for a nap, and he concentrates as a transparent orb forms around his body. The orb blocks the sound waves from Yumi's attack easily, and though she continues the song for a while, she has little success. She sighs as she ceases her song, and with the danger gone Pichu lets his Protect drop, breathing heavily.

The Smoochum doesn't miss a beat, though. She quickly concentrates, once again creating the familiar pair of body clones to help her avoid attacks. The 3 baby Jynx wink at Pichu, who smiles back evily. He pulls his head back, and opening his mouth, lets out a short cry as a multitude of star shaped rays emerge. He sweeps the barrage of stars from right to left, hitting all 3 of the psychic types, 2 of which disappear without a trace while the third cries out as the stars cut at her body. She shakes her head as the attack ends, getting quite annoyed with this small electric type.

Pichu finally goes on the offensive this round, as his cheeks spark with energy. With a shriek he looses a quick bolt of electricity toward Yumi, who has been charging for her own attack, building ice energy in her mouth. She groans as the electricity courses throughout her body, but determined, she launches her own powerful attack toward Pichu, even while the electricity continues. Still concentrating on his attack, the electric type is unable to dodge, and Pichu is forced to stop his attack as he is sent flying backwards, pelted by a freezing wind and chunks of ice. As he falls to the ground some distance away, he appears to be coated in a thin layer of ice, and he struggles to stand up and face Yumi once more.

As he does get up, it appears that Pichu is not only coated in ice, but also is heavily breathing, the fatigue clearly taking a toll on his small body. Meanwhile, Yumi looks to be battered pretty badly, and her paralysis continues to plague her, not getting any chance to subside with repeated electric attacks against her.

Ok they want to wear us down Pichu, lets start saving some Energy. First off use a Flash and follow with a Defence Curl. If the round is going well just take a break for the last slot. If not then use Swift again.

For the first part of the round, just close your eyes and relax. Hopefully, that Flash won't get to you.

Then, use Ice Beam.

Follow up with Psychic.

Defense Curl won't protect him from Special Attacks.

As the 8th round of this baby battle gets under way, it seems both pokemon are starting to weaken, though in different ways. The trainers issue their commands, and the pokemon get right to it.

Pichu starts off channeling his electric energy into his cheeks. Yumi wastes no time, and she quickly closes her eyes while relaxing herself to restore some of her energy. As Pichu's body flashes brightly, the small pink pokemon see's a bit of a flash through her closed eyelids, but not enough to effect her. She continues resting.

Now on the defensive, Pichu, still ice coated, curls himself into a ball, attempting to protect his vulnerable areas. Smoochum opens her mouth and begins building ice energy on her lips. After a brief charge period, she lets out a cry as she fires a freezing beam toward the yellow ball. The beam makes a direct hit, and further coats Pichu in ice as he lets out a muffled cry of pain. His defensive manuever protected his more vulnerable area, but it also made him more compact, and because of his smaller size the beam virtually freezes him completely. Yumi giggles as she looks on toward the frozen yellow ball.

She remembers her last order, and decides to have some fun. Utilizing her psychic powers, Yumi's eyes glow a faint blue, and an aura of the same color surrounds Pichu. He rises off the ground, controlled by the psychic waves, and with a push Yumi tosses the frozen electric type to the top of the slide. The impact breaks him free of the ice, and he uncurls as he tumbles down the still icy slide to the hard ground below. As he lands on the ground, he slowly stands up, cold and in pain.

The pokemon glare at each other as the round closes... Yumi seems to have made somewhat of a comeback t his round, though both are getting pretty tired. The faint light surrounding the Smoochum for protection fades as the round ends.
