Okies, MG and I have decided we want to try a tag battle. Rules are as follows.

Team 1 - Elec Man EXE and Metallixs Girl
Team 2 - Charles Legend and Saffire Persian
Pokemon - 3 per person (6 total per team), 1 pokemon per person at a time
DQ - Standard Week
Banned Moves - Toxic (and OHKO's will only do extreme damage, NOT act as in the games)
Order - Team 1 chooses pokemon first, Team 2 attacks first

Arena - In keeping with a fall-ish theme....

Pumpkin Patch - Fairly self-explanitory. Its a pumpkin patch. Because its Halloween, the patch isn't full, but there are still a decent amount of unharvested pumpkins around. The vines and pumpkins could make it difficult for larger pokemon to manuever, depending on just clumsy they normally are. It also seems that there have been a couple of pranksters at work in this particular patch. This lot has stuck explosives into the pumpkins, and a strong force on these trapped pumpkins (like hitting something after being thrown, or being stepped on) will cause a small explosion (around 6% extra damage). Because the pranksters suck, there is only a 20% chance the explosion will actually happen, however.

So, now that thats all out of the way... I'll be starting off with my male Octillary, Kraken. Your first battle, lets do it Kraken.

Zelle, i want you to set up a Safeguard for both you and the sheep, followed by a Wide-spread Shockwave then finish up with a Secret Power against whichever foe would be most convenient.

[color=mediumpurple]All right, Topaz, first of all, Mimic that Safeguard and spread it to both yourself and Kraken. Then Focus Punch Delcatty, and also try to take as much of the Shockwave as you can to shield it from Kraken, and finally Seismic Toss Delcatty and throw him close to Mareep.

Ok Kraken, lets make the first round good. Start off by grabbing a pumpkin with Psychic. Use it to block the incoming Thunder Wave (a plant should absorb electricity well), and then hurl it at Mareep afterwards. Make sure you don't grab one too close to you, just in case it explodes. After that, fire off your special attack, Octazooka, at Link. Lets blind him with black ink before he can tackle Topaz. Finally, wait until the two are close together after Topaz's toss, and then use a Fire Blast on them. With any luck, it'll hit both of them, and the fire might even ignite a few pumpkins. If they aren't close enough together to hit both (they should be, but ya never know) then just focus the attack on Link.

Round One

Starting with the none aggressive side, Zelle the Delcatty concentrates, closing his eyes before his body releases a shimmering glow that envelopes not only his own body, but spreads to his ally Link as well.
Topaz, who had been busy being a ninja, smirks. His body too, soon glows, shimmering with a similar glow that soon covers his yellow body, and then moves on to cover Kraken.

Speaking of Kraken...

As his enemy Link charges a volt of electricity and fires it off, Kraken smiles, his psychic ability reaching out and wrapping around a pump about two feet away. Easily he maneuvers the plant in front of the small wave of sparks and watches his orange shield absorbs the attack.
Link huffs, but then yelps as suddenly the harmless pumpkin flies forward at amazing speeds before it slams into his body. Crumbling, but thankfully not exploding.

Not waiting for his ally to recover, Zelle charges up his own static wave and sends it streaming about the field. Some are absorbed by pumpkins, but the rest of it strikes home on Kraken and Topaz.
Kraken shudders in irritation, but Topaz just blows off the attack as almost nothing, and clenches his fist, energy gather and gather...

Whoosh

Topaz is surprised when a jet of inky blackness flies past her head and slams into the oncoming Mareep his never noticed. Kraken can’t help but laugh when Link trips over his own feet and lands about a foot in front of the giggling Pikachu.
But Topaz shakes off her giggles and runs for Zelle, fist pulled back as far as she can and glowing with a white aura of chi power. In an instant she flings her fist forward and slams it into Zelle’s face, sending the normal pokemon flying into a couple of pumpkins.

None of which explode. (The dice love you...)

But the assault doesn’t end there, as the disorientated and rather peeved Delcatty gets to his feet. He barely has time to see the rampaging pikachu come up to him before he is spinning around, faster and faster before he’s sent flying… Again.

Kraken laughs, watching as Zelle comes crashing down beside Link, who is utterly lost as the ink refuses to leave his eyes.
Not all is well for the Octillery though, Link hears the sadistic laughing, and he doesn’t waste time charging up a shockwave of his own and then letting it loose towards Kraken.

The octopus pokemon cringes as the electricity courses through his body. Unfortunately, the electricity triggers one of the explosive pumpkins, which sends bits of orange and seeds all over the place. Kraken grimaces, annoyed with the event.
Zelle emerges, annoyed with the pikachu to the point where he turns to the yellow fur ball and fires a white beam towards the electric type.

Topaz cringes just as the beam slams into her little body and topples her over. Fortunately, the safeguard shimmers as an effect tries to infect her body.

Ha ha Zelle. Ha ha.

Now it’s Krakens turn. Gathering fire energy, he launches a kanji of flames towards his opponents and the brunt of it consumes Link, while the rest engulfs Zelle.

Great Kraken. Now then, this round I want you to start off by blasting Zelle with a Water Gun. Get him nice and soaked, to help out Topaz. Then, turn your attention to Link and hit him with a Sludge Bomb, get him nice and gooey. Follow that up with a Flamethrower, again on Link. Sludge is flamable, and possibly explosive, so that should be fun for him.

[color=mediumpurple]Our turn, Topaz. Set up a Light Screen for both you and Kraken. Then use Thunderbolt on the wet Zelle, and finally Dig a nice hole for Kraken to escape to when he needs it.

Link start off with a Light Screen for both you and Zelle, next set up a Reflect for you and Zelle, then end this round by Growling at both Kraken and Topaz.

p.s sorry Saffire Persian for not talking to you the lat few days, foryou see I been um playing Pokemon Xd: gale of darkness as of late..... infact I about half way threw it, I just reached the Cipher Key Lair but did not do tomuch inside do to there being a thunderstorm and I saved my game and turned it off then came in and shut my computer down, just incase the power went out...

anyways I shut up now, err btw on my xd team I have a femle espeon named Zelda, a female ampkaros named mary, a male Vulpix named Rost and thug Zook's Shadow Zangoose..

While the shields are being put up, take the time to use Double Team to conjure up as many clones as possible, and scatter them about so they your oppoenents will have to focus on striking one at a time. Next, as Kraken readies his Sludge Bomb, send a Shadow Ball towards him, and hit as many Pumpkins around him as you can, if any luck, the explosions will get him, and perhaps obliterate the sludge before it comes to get Link as well. Lastly, while Pikachu's digging that hole, wait until she's gotten just a bit in, but not digging a tunnel yet, and collapse her hole on her, by slamming the earth with Rock Smash . Hopefully you'll bury her so that it's hard to move and such under all that earth and rock if we're lucky. Don't try to smash any pumpkins though.

Round Two

Everyone watches as Topaz the Pikachu and Link the Mareep both summon a small shield around both themselves and their teammates. The shield is formed by little golden lined hexagons that fit together; ready to decrease the Special attacks coming their way.
Kraken doesn't wait, despite the shield; he fires off a jet off water. It flies through the air, but alas, Zelle splits into multiple copies and the attack flies through one. The kitty-cat smiles as his clones disappear.

As Link focuses again, and creates a similar shield only with blue hexagons around both his and his team mate,Zelle begins to charge a dark shadowy ball of nothingness, while Kraken's mouth(?) drips with green sludge, and Topaz sparks wildly.
Topaz releases her attack first! The bolt flies towards the kitty that just manages to shot the shadow ball when her fur stands on end before a thunderbolt slams into her. But alas, the golden hexagons sparkle and twirl as they collect some of the damage.
The Shadow ball careens towards Kraken, who is in the middle of spewing when the explosive ball hits his body. His shield to sparkles as some of the nothingness is absorbed.

The half sludge bomb flies through the air and splatters on the unsuspecting and blind Mareep. The hero of light squeals in displeasure before shaking his head, trying to get rid of the little sludge that made it through his shield.
Thankfully, that sludge bomb pointed out to Link where one of his enemies were, and he can even see Kraken's out line from beneath to oily blackness. He grins, before letting his smile vanish as he bares his teeth and growls.
Though slightly deterred, Kraken shrugs off the growl and then breathes deeply inwards. Ignoring all the type rules and pure sense, out of his straw like mouth expels a stream of red-hot flames. The Flames light up the pumpkin patch (yes its.. evening-nightish XP), and charge at Link. Gulping, all the electric type can do is yelp and then yowl as the flames slam into him, lighting the sludge up before it creates a mini explosion combined with the oily ink that was already on his face.
Why you ask did Topaz not be affect by the growl? Well, she's busy digging a hole, which is rather easy in the soft dirt. She's quite always under ground when suddenly a loud and echoing bang goes through the hole. The entrance caves in and Topaz can just hear the sick and twisted laughter of a vengeful Delcatty sitting above.

Zelle smiles, he sits promptly down as he dusts off his paws and listens. He can hear the muffled cursing of a peeved Pikachu who was just buried alive.

All right, Zelle, jump up and send a Shadow Ball at the pumpkins by the Octillery to try and make them explode and damage them. Next, use an Ice Beam on Kracken and finish up with another Shadowball on either Pokémon.

However, the Pikachu should be having trouble with all those rocks piled on top of it and keeping it from moving. Even so, if you feel a rumble below you signaling that the Pikachu is about to Dig from under you and attack, lets follow your companion's strategy and jump up and Body Slam the little rat back into its hole.

All right, it's time for a little revenge for them burying you Topaz. For your first action, I want you to wait until Kraken has a good hold on Zelle and then Dig up and attack the Delcatty. Then Brick Break him. Finally grab Link and toss him into Zelle with Seismic Toss. Try to time it so that Zelle is about to launch his Shadow Ball and it explodes on them both.

ElecMan tells me he has password issues with the vB so he can't post his attacks til he can get into his account...

Darn forum trying to thwart me.

Ok Kraken. I want you to start off with Psychic, lift Zelle off the ground and hold her there so Topaz can get out and strike. Once she's hit, use whatever psychic energy you have left and crush Zelle before dropping her. Then, I want you to tap into your inner octorok, and fire a Rock Blast through that incoming Ice Beam. The ice should just coat the rocks, making them harder and more damaging while keeping you safe. Finally, fire a Blizzard at both of your opponents once Topaz gets them close to each other.

ROUND 3

The small fluffy Mareep named after the ever famous Hero of Light concentrates. Link soon splits into multiple copies him, surrounding his opponent.
Zelle rolls his eyes at his partner before looking right at Kraken. The Octillery pays him glares no mind, but becomes concerned with suddenly an eerie darkness masses in front of the normal type. The ghost energy is incredibly concentrated; it glows and shakes as it becomes unstable.
Zelle, with a smile on his face, lets the ball fly. It careens down the field, killing the roots and grass that it comes to close to before flying right past the frightened Octillery and into a small cluster of pumpkins.

With a sudden and very loud bang, Kraken is sent forward. Two of the five pumpkins had exploded, sending guts and juices everywhere!
Angered by the cat, Kraken’s eyes glow a deep purple before an aura of psychic energy holds Zelle tight. Kraken smiles and hits the ground with a tentacle in happiness.

Or so we thought...

But as the ground shifts and turns, Zelle gasps as the one and only Topaz bursts from the ground and slams into his side. The Pikachu is covered from head to toe in dirt. Only her bright eyes give away that it is actually her.
Kraken smirks, quickly squeezing Zelle with what remains of the psychic link before dropping him.

Mareep is angered by the cruelty to his friend, and fires off several shining stars while his clones from last turn disappear, the stars rip across the field. The cut lightly into Kraken and Topaz before disappearing, Topaz suddenly leaps forward with brilliant speed as her fist glows.
She wastes little time throwing her fist forward that hits the combined shielding power of Reflect and Light Screen.
The shield suddenly turns a turquoise color as a one ring expels from them. Before long the slam hexagons break apart from each other as the glowing fist slams into Zelle’s shoulder.

Cringing, Zelle whimpers as he can’t put very much wait on his foot paw anymore. But still, he braces himself and fires off a cold beam that streams towards Kraken, who clings to the ground like an orange auto-mated turret as rocks expel from his mouth.
The rocks hit the beam and become covered in ice, but parts of the beam manage to make it through and slam into Kraken. The light screen shimmers lightly as it absorbs damage.

The final round begins with Zelle again, he growls and charges up a familiar eerie ball. It begins to shake and shiver in its most unstable stage, and then suddenly is torn from its master’s mind as Topaz interrupts the attack.
The shadow ball bursts, but the ghostly energy fails to harm the Delcatty. Topaz ignores the faint pain and spins the cat around and around. Until finally she lets go and sends the poor kitty flying through the air.

Link however, just manages to release the lethal stars again when CRASH.

Zelle falls right onto of the electric type, who yelps in horror as the dizzy Delcatty struggles to gain his balance on a flailing Mareep.
Kraken snickers, waving happily at Topaz who gives thumbs up. The octopus concentrates for a second, sucking in as much air as he can until he expels a harsh wind. It expands and forms ice chunks, and soon enough, it’s a mighty blizzard that batters both Pokemon.

Note: Rock Blast never made it to Zelle do to the ice beam. Zelle used Shadow ball because he never felt Topaz coming until the psychic had gripped him. So, no body slam.

Ooooooh, Topaz, we hurt Zelle horribly... He'll probably come after you now, big time... Hit him with Thunder Punch x3 but if he tries anything physical on you, Counter it. Mimic any Elemental strikes.

Ok Kraken, that leaves you to dual with Link. Start off by firing a Bubblebeam, soak him. Then, launch an Ice Beam to freeze him over, being drenched will make freezing much more likely. Finally, pelt him with a Rock Blast. If either of them try to use a powerful electric attack on you, Double Team to try and avoid. If they both try and use electric attacks on you at the same time, Protect.

color=wheat] "Link, first use as powerful of a shockwave as you can on Octillery and trigger the double team substitute. Even though he'll go into a double team, the shockwaves will still get him - and since it's a multi-attack, it'll get Pikachu too. Next, Shockwave again! Trigger that sub and keep him Double Teaming. For Rock blast, try to put some distance between you to and use thunder wave.

All right, Zelle. Lets get things done, shall we?

Stand just a few feet away from a Pumpkin. First, use Attract On Topaz as she come towards you. If she seems to be infatuated now, use Hyper Beam and as its an energy based move, I doubt it can be countered, and even if so, she'll probably be too infatuated with you to do anything that turn. However, if she still comes at you with Thunder Punch, Faint Attack away, and hope that she won't be able to stop fast enough to keep from hitting a perhaps exploitable Pumpkin. Whether it does or doesn't, hit her with the move afterwards.

Next, if she was hit by the Hyper Beam, and is no longer in love with you, Faint Attack away and let her punch at something that is not there and hit her. If she's still infatuated, hit her with Hyper Beam.

ROUND 4

After the brutal last round, Zelle lifts himself off her ally and focuses on his opponent. Unfortunately the struggle gave Topaz enough time to leap forward, her fist clenched in a thundery rage as she slams it into the Delcatty's face. Who yelps and slides back a couple of feet. Zelle hasn't given up yet though, He leaps over to a pumpkin and then winks at Topaz. Topaz blinks, tilting her head in curiosity as the Cat purrs loudly and struts his stuff. Letting a devilish look in his eye turn into playful fun.
Topaz looks intrigued, her eyes twinkle in admiration from the normal type, he is kind of cute...

Kraken rolls his eyes at Topaz before turning to his opponent. Link is smiling evilly at his genius as his body wildly sparks for a bit longer then usual. His trainer did say, a powerful shockwave, in an instant his fires the considerably large wave towards Kraken who grimaces and quickly splits into copies. The copies are washed away as the wave finds the real Octillery and takes full advantage of the type weakness.

Now mindlessly admiring the pretty kitty, Topaz doesn't take notice to the cocky smirk on the cats face. He braces himself, and lets energy slowly build in front of his face. It's so bright that it lights up the arena and distracts before Kraken and Link for a moment. Before the ball turns to a bright orange and then streams forward in a beam forward. Topaz at the last moment sees the beam, but it's to late! The beam slams into the pikachu and carries her through the air for several feet before allowing her to drop. Utterly torn from her attraction.

Enraged by the beating his partner just took, Kraken turns back to Link, who charges up a normal shockwave and lets it fly. Kraken does nothing as the mild electric attack hits his orange body. Moments later an icy beam streams towards Link and smacks him dead in the face.
Ow...

Getting up after the attack, Topaz leaps forward, fist ready to deliver a pounding. Unfortunately for her right when she's about to hit, Zelle disappears. She cringes as her fist connects with the pumpkin and she tumbles into it. Luckily the pumpkin does nothing but crumple. The pikachu cries out angrily as she gets up, wiping herself off only to be knocked into it again by Zelle, who attacked her from behind

This is beyond irritating now, for the octopus pokemon, he heaves in, and watches Link scurry away a bit. With revenge in mind, the Octillery lets the rocks fly forward like bullets. They smash into Link, who cries out as numerous hurtful rocks hit his body.
Unfortantely for Kraken, Link still has energy left to move, he charges up a thunderwave and lets it fly. The light static infects the water type, and takes a toll on his muscles.

Zelle, start out with a wide-spread Shockwave and then use Secret Power on whichever target is easiest, and finish off with yet another Secret Power based on whatever target is easier for you.

Topaz, I want you to Charm both boys if you can, and then use another Light Screen for you and Kraken, and finally finish Zelle off hopefully with Focus Punch.

Ack, he's trying to fry you Kraken. We won't have any of that. What I want you to do first, once Link's charged, is to unleash a Bubblebeam. I'm hoping that drenching him with liquid after he charges may cause the charge to dissipate, but the bubbles won't conduct the charge back to you either (that'd be bad). Either way, Protect against the first SW. Then, since there isn't much you can do to avoid such an accurate attack, go ahead and blast him with a strong Sludge Bomb. Don't want him to get too comfortable.

Battle is pretty much dead, since Crystal is away, and Metallixs Girl has lost interest in ASB for the time being and won't be battling any more.

If its alright with you two, I'm going to go ahead and forfeit, since my teammate would eventually get a DQ anyhow. That way its not taking up our battle slots sitting idle.

So, that'll be 2 points for Saffire, Charles, and Crystal, 1 point for myself and Metallixs. If my maths are right.

I feel kinda bad though - you two were kicking me and Charles' butt, really. o.0 But I do agree that this'll probably never get reffed. Though I'll have to see if I can prod Crystal into doing the tiny tourney thing that she's against me in.

Yeah I agree this was a fun match even thoght we were lossing it did give me the chance to take on an Octillery and a Pikachu which I have never fought before... and I also agree that this match is dead.......
