~Round 1 Begin!~

A Chikorita eagarly bounds through one of the entrances into the now darkened indigo stadium, lightened only by the full moon and dimmed floodlights. Stamping her feet in a challange, she runs a circle around her slower walking trainer's feet. At the other side, their opponent awaits, having called out a female Ledyba, fluttering near-silently on Gossamer wings, observing her shiny opponent. Commands are quickly given by trainers Vermillion and TBA as both Pokémon turn to face each other. Without a ring of a bell to announce the beginning of the three part match, both Pokémon start off at the wave of the referees hand.

Both Pokémon stay rooted -- or hovering, in Drawcia's case - in their places. Both bodies shimmer as a pure, unadulterated light surrounds them both at their beckoning. Their bodies shimmer with the protective barrier, and both grin at each other, knowing that they are both still at even ground.

Iris is quite determined to change that, leaping forward with an eager grin. Her leafy appendage on her head begins to whip around in an almost hypnotizing fashion, glowing white. A bright Flash of light tears through the darkened stadium. It sears the Ledyba's night-adjusted retinas, sending her howling in annoyance and pain and she rubs her eyes to try and free up her vision. But the attempt is of little use, and she ends up firing her Silver Wind blindly in front of her, the gust striking little but the hard floor.

Her vision still filled with white, Ledyba mumbles in despair. Though anger is soon replacing that emotion, especially when she is suddenly besought by the dull pings of seeds clattering against her hovering body. Soon of the seeds immediately take root, and even her Safeguard can't protect her as they blossom to life, coating her body in tiny, sapping vines. This annoys her, and she spins around, the seeds somewhat hampering her flight abilities, and fires a Psybeam in the direction the seeds came from. But she misses once more, and is left glowing as a bit of her life is sucked away and given to her snickering opponent.

~Round 2 Begin!~

Still suffering from blindness, though her vision is steadily improving, Drawcia flaps her gossamer wings a few times to gain a bit of altitude, before beginning to spin about in the air like a top. From her body comes a whirl of silver wind laced with bug energy, spiraling every which way. Iris cringes a bit as the wind stings her vine and face, but it's quite noticeably lower than power, and despite her the irritation the Silver Wind is causing her, she forces her vines to dart forward anyway, securing her target, and wrenching her vengefully downwards.

Drawcia hits the floor with a surprised yelp. A moan escaping her as she hits the pavement. The vines release their hold slightly, and Drawcia is able to stand up dizzily, as Iris rockets forward. Remembering her orders, she coats her fists in a light coat of ice energy - she reaches as far as she can behind her back, and begins to freeze whatever her fists make contact with. This includes the veins that are still wrapped around her body. This does not please Iris in the least, yelping as the ice energy touches her vines, and she quickly draws them away as she continues to run forward, slamming into Drawcia, pushing the bug-type farther across the floor. Luckily for her, she managed to get rid of the entirety of the seed.

Beaten and battered as she is, the ladybug rises to her feet a bit, grimacing at the apparent bruising across her body. With her vision almost 100% back, she notices a very odd thing indeed: there seems to be not one, but three Chikoritas. Not sure if it's her vision or a trick of the cocky grass-type, Drawcia launches a barrage of five pointed stars at the target, which shred through both the clones and the real target with ease, leaving only a very irritated Iris in the attack's wake.

~Round 3 Begin!~

Looking over her shoulder at Vermillion, Iris nods tentatively for a moment, before turning it into a determined expression. She closes her eyes, fighting the urge to scratch at her itchy skin, and thinks back to last round and the flurry of stars that had assaulted her. Grimacing, she plays the event as well as she can over again, carefully. Brightening, she thinks she has it. Grinning as she sees the clones, she waves about the leaf on her forehead, and sends a starry vengeance at Drawcia and her clones, shredding them to bits.

Unhappy, with her body littered with nicks from the barrage, and growing more unhappy by the second as the cocky Chikorita runs away with two identical clones doing the same. Confused at which one's which, with her vision now pretty much back to normal, she fires off a psychedelic rainbow Psybeam at one of her running opponents. The light cuts through the clone and fades away, leaving Drawcia to curse and bemoan her luck.

She is not given long to angst over the current turn of events and she hears a strange rumbling sound coming from the earth. She turns around just in time to see giant boulders surging up from the earth. Eyes widening at the bug-squishing-sized boulders, Drawcia tries to flee, firing off a Silver Wind that misses just about everything entirely - but she is soon struck out of the air as a boulder just beneath her surges upwards and knocks the Ledyba's flight off kilter, and nearly sends her colliding with the dark stadium ground.

~Round 4 Begin!~

Buzzing back into the air, the Ledyba jets into the nighttime sky, not quite rising above the stadium lights as thick vines whisk through the air from the two Chikorita prowling the grounds. The vines fall short of their target, however, as Drawcia is at this point much to fast for the pursuing vines to catch.

Using her speed to increase her power, Drawcia allows her fist to glow with focused chi energy. She pulls into a dive, lunging towards Iris. She pulls back her fist and releases it at the last possible moment, awaiting the thud of her fist meeting Iris' face -- but the Ledyba meets none. Instead, she meets air as the clone shimmers out of existence and Drawcia skids along the cement, grimacing painfully. Her luck doesn't seem to look up as the Chikorita bounds, wrestler-style onto the bug-type's back, grinning insanely and trying to siphon off as much energy as she can out of the annoying lady bug. But the Ledyba has enough energy to buck her off after a few uncomfortable moments and buzz back into the air, relatively unhurt, but annoyed.

Both Drawcia and Iris stare each other down, but neither make any move to attack as both combatants take a moment to breathe and replenish their silver Safeguards to protect themselves from each others' status effects.

~Round 5 Begin!~

A bit hurt and quite battered, Drawcia once more finds herself hovering in the night air, glaring down on her grass-type opponent with something of irritation and disgust. Muttering a few quick words, Drawcia suddenly darts downward at a blinding, lightning-fast speed, raining the Chikorita with a quick barrage of punches that are impossible to avoid. But the Chikorita, assailed as she is, manages to glow a brilliant white, and sends forth another searing flash of pure light that sears Drawcia's retinas from such close proximity, and renders her nearly-blind once again.

Needless to say, blinded with no sense whatsoever about where her foe is, her Dynamic Punch fails rather miserably, colliding with nothing but air and suddenly finding herself grounded once more, as Iris' vengeful yank with her vines brings Drawcia back towards the stadium floor with a vindictive thud.

Drawcia, her eyes still full of the blasted white haze, can't quite manage to fly with the Chikorita's vines wrapped around her so tightly, but Drawcia, being quite stronger and bigger than the small Chikorita, manages to rise to her feet, and with a blur of speed that not even Iris expects, the Ledyba rams into Chikorita with Aerial Ace, sending her tumbling backwards before a barrage of rocks puts some new distance between bug and flora as the round ends.

~Round 6 Begin!~

Two brief flashes of pinkish purple light start of round six as both Pokémon summon up two protective shields around themselves: Penelo, a Prot- er, Reflect, and Drawcia a Shel- erm, Light Screen. Both white magic attacks surround their respective users and gives Drawcia a bit of time to try and cure her fading Blind status.

Penelo, though, intends to take advantage of it to the fullest. Darting forward, she twirls around her leaf appendage, and sends forth a fury of bladed leaves at her Ledyba foe. Drawcia, who's sight is slowly coming back by the second, can barely make out the shape of the leaves from her blinded eyes, nevertheless, she flaps her gossamer wings and sends forth a gust of wind, laced with bug-type energy. The gust sweeps away most of the Razor Leaves, and sends them flying backwards. Most hit the ground harmlessly, though a few wayward leaves manage to strike Penelo after being somewhat buffered by her Reflect shield along with the bug-type wind that still manages to make her skin itch and her eyes water.

Blinking, and looking a little wary, after having her attack blown, Penelo glances at her trainer, giving him a very definitive "are you mad?" look while looking at her stub for a tail. Scowling, she darts forward anyway, deciding to channel the Steel-Type energy into a more suitable whacking appendage that just might as well be a tail. The leaf sticking out of her forehead to be exact.

Now crowned with a brilliant silver leaf, Penelo picks up more speed, only to be somewhat waylaid as she spots a deceptively psychedelic rainbow beam coming towards her. She closes her eyes for a split second as the Beam collides with her Reflect shield, and though some of the rainbow rays pass through, she finds that the Psybeam is for the most part is being reflected off the reflective service, and handily making another 'return to sender' maneuver that makes Drawcia wish she had chosen another type of attack.

Still, the rebound was at lower power, along with a Light Screen to boot, so Drawcia was easily able to recover in a few seconds, but the sudden weight of a hard slab of steel striking her forehead soon changes that, and Drawcia is send hurtling towards the ground once more, which, as you can imagine, she is getting quite sick of.

Drawcia lands first, followed by Penelo, and both shielded opponents stare at each other with mutual disdain.

~Round 7 Begin!~

Drawcia quickly picks herself up from her rather.. embarrassing place on the ground, zipping to new heights in a blink of an eye. Warmth shoots through her body like adrenaline, loosening her muscles and joints and becoming faster by the second. Drawcia quickly banks to the right, starting on her downward Spiral towards the resting Penelo, grinning like a demon.

Penelo, blinking the haziness out of her eyes from the brief period of relaxation, stands up and holds her ground, knowing her shield isn't going to last much longer. And indeed, it doesn't. Roughly two split-seconds later, the Reflect is dashed into pieces as the Ledyba forcefully rams through it, continuing on to the creature hiding behind it. However, no sooner does Drawcia's body collide with Penelo's, is Drawcia's forcefully send back with a greater, more painful force that leaves her wishing she had tackled the leaf-thing instead.

Still, she succeeded in killing Penelo's Reflect, so Drawcia allows herself to be smug as she hovers a few feet backwards into the air, sending forth an itchy wind that has been seen many a time during this battle. With no shield to buffer it, Penelo is struck full force. Grimacing, she covers her face with her head leaf. Breathing in, Penelo lets loose a brilliant white beam towards the smug bug. The beam makes impact with Drawcia's Light Screen. A few rays of light manage to penetrate Drawcia's shield, but a good part of them rebound, haphazardly striking everywhere the pieces of light come in contact. Even Penelo is by a good amount of wayward waves, as her shield is no longer up to help with the rebound.

~Round 8 Begin!~

Drawcia, her energy quickly waning, does her best to try and ignore the sudden slew of rude, pompous gestures coming from the smug Chikorita below her. The very sight of the rude plant acting so "all that" like some sort of spoiled brat of a Princess--even though Penelo's no more than a street urchin--is making Drawcia rather irritated; however, she lacks the energy to really do anything more than imagine doing anything about it. Perhaps were she not surrounded by the pearly white safeguard, she might have lost all reason and logic for the moment, and fell into Penelo's trap, but at the moment, it's not so. So, still miffed and irritated, Drawcia flaps her suddenly heavy gossamer wings until they take her higher into the air--hopefully out of the range of the grass-type's Vine Whip.

With Drawcia quite a ways into the night air, Penelo makes a "pffft" sound, knowing that the Ledyba wasn't drawn into her wonderfully executed trap. Nevertheless, the strong vines emerge from out of the green stubs around her neck, and she flings the vines forward to their full extent, hoping to catch a leg, wing, or head of the ladybug above her. However, her attempt falls rather short, and Penelo is left to fume a bit in silence as Drawcia keeps on relaxing, her Light Screen and Safeguard disappearing as the round draws to a close.

Knowing full well she wouldn't be able to Body Slam something in the air so high up, Penelo plops down on her haunches, watching the Ledyba with some degree of ire as she rests as well, her safeguard (as well as her opponent's) fading in a flash of sparkling white dust, rendering them prone to status effects once more.

~Round 9 Begin!~

Drawcia, still hovering in the air, attempts to relax, her wings buzzing as she watches her Chikorita cautiously. Her light screen fades, and below, Penelo's body is glowing with an abnormally bright, iridescent light. Then, a massive Flash bursts out from the small dinosaur-plant's form, blinding Drawcia quite terribly.

No longer able to see much of anything, Drawcia tries to calm herself down. Relaxing is difficult, but she manages to do so, hoping her opponent isn't going to lob anything deadly at her. Nothing comes, as Penelo is relaxing as well, her rump seated against the ground, staring in amusement at the Flashed ladybug.

Another minute of silence passes, and Penelo finally sees fit to disturb the piece. Remaining seated on the ground, but taking careful aim, she begins to form an orb of glowing green energy in front of her face. The particles taken from the environment harden and form into a sphere that's almost--but not quite--solid. Once fully formed, Penelo jumps up and bats the orb like a cat hitting a ball of yarn, and it streaks upward like a star. It socks Drawcia straight in the chest--as she's too blind to see much of anything except a strange, glowing light--fizzling into an eruption of green energy as Ledyba tumbles through the air, catching herself before she meets ground, confused and bewildered, and still about 70% blind.

~Round 10 Begin!~

Penelo begins the round by grabbing the brown leaf on her head with her teeth, and blowing into it forcefully. A loud whistling noise echoes throughout the nighttime setting, but Drawcia keeps her ears closed as she flutters higher into the air. Drawcia can still hear the muffled sounds of the grass whistle, and her eyes become a tad bit heavier, but she refuses to give into the temptation of slumber.

Annoyed that her attempt went unnoticed (for the most part), Penelo's bud collar shoots out a pair of brown vines which latch onto the large lady bug before slamming the bug pokemon into the ground harshly; Drawcia squeals in pain before shooting off a barrage of stars that rip through Penelo's vines and crash into her.

Drawcia retreats to the air as Penelo, once again, shoots her vines out. Drawcia cannot evade them, however, as sleep becomes more and more pleasing. The ladyba is gripped by the brown-colored vines and is thrown to the ground again. Drawcia counteracts once more, shooting off another series of stars which bash the grass pokemon.

Penelo begins the round like she did the round before: grabbing the brown leaf on her head with her teeth, and blowing into it forcefully. A loud whistling noise echoes throughout the nighttime setting, and Drawcia's eyelids slowly close, finally allowing her slumber. The large ladybug hits the floor happily sleeping soundly. In success, Penelo relaxes for a few moments before readying her next attack.

The grass pokemon closes her eyes and summons various rocks from around the arena to slam into the large bug pokemon. Drawcia squeals loudly as her slumber is interrupted, and counterattacks by blowing a chillingly cold littering with fragments of bug energy. The attack scrapes across Penelo as she cries faintly.
