With a swoop from great height (The Ref laughing in delight, her passengers screeching in fear) Whalat lands and his passengers disembark onto a plain field of grass. We'll say Saskatchewan for flatness sake. Anyway once the battlers get their thoughts off paralysing fear and onto battling, Wurz releases her shiny Aipom, Thom York, and Master of Mews releases his Bulbasaur, Botany.

Thom shows his flight worthy speed as he runs at Botany before leaping high into the air. Botany just gapes at him for a second before getting her thoughts in order. She fires a flurry of rainbow coloured leaves at him but he powers though it and smashes into her for good damage.

Next Thom leaps back from botany and braces himself, glowing a slight orange. Botany just sees an easy target and runs as fast as her shortish legs can. She leaps and smashes onto his back but almost instantly she is blasted back off by a bright white flow of energy. She crashes into the grass, groaning.

Botany has had quite enough of this and before she even gets to her feet she lashes out with her Vine Whip. Thom isn't letting that happen and he leaps high into the air. Botany yells at him as he bounces high out of reach, but scrabbles to her feet as he comes down. It is to late however and he smashes into her. She is feeling considerably flattened.

Alright while the Aipom sprints at Botany once more, she watches just how he is doing this very carefully. Then she also runs at Thom, but at a lesser pace. Thom leaps up to strike down with force and Botany leaves the ground a short bit later. While Thom is coming down, Botany is coming up and they slam into one another. They both crash to the ground and rub their heads, rather addled for the moment.

Next Thom starts to zoom around, bounce and do all kinds of crazy antics to be utterly unhittable and boost his speed. Botany just watches him do this and then starts to gather the energy to split off when the Ref blows her whistle she stops. She and her trainer both start at the Ref. "Double Team is banned from this match." she states and Botany just sits there instead.

Finished speeding around like a manic he then turns his random speeding to dash forward for Botany. She is just starting to gather the energy to glow when she is slashed across the face with a slightly transparent tail paw. She screams as the gashes open up on her face and paws futilely at her head. Thom is grinning, as usual, and she annoying glares at him. She gathers her energy again and flares bright white and Thom clutches at his eyes, moaning. He blinks many times, but his vision is all but gone.

Crap, wasted attack. This is what I get for not taying appention. Okay, it's blinded now, should make the match either evened or detrimental... one or the other.

Since he's blinded, use a barrage of Magical Leaf to keep it confused as to where you're at. Then use a Giga Drain to get some health back from it. Finally Sludge Bomb.

If he gets too close, Vine Whip him out of the way

Thom is severely annoyed with his present state of unseeing. He looks around helplessly and ponders his next move. With his trainers orders he nods and listens carefully, sure enough he can hear movement but with all the swishing grass, it's hard to distinguish sounds. Then, a flurry of leaves whirling through the air totally drones everything else out. He dashes forward to the sound but only succeeds in getting himself cut up. He swings his tail hand forward but as Botany can see, he is five feet off the mark.

He grumbles and hits the ground irritable. Turning this anger into a series of curses about Botany's pathetic family. How they can't fight properly and why don't they have a good beat down to the finish. None of this tricky status stuff she embarrassingly keeps using. He continues dissing her and it works, the Bulbasaur growling in rage at the monkey. She lashes out with a vine and begins to suck precious life out of the Aipom. He yells and tries to wiggling out of the deadly grip, bit it's useless.

Botany finally let's go and Thom slumps a little, that was not fun. He turns around and around, but just can't get a lock on Botany's position. Finally he thinks he hears something off to his left and he runs there, leaping high with an angry cry. This is matched by the yelp of the Ref as she scampers to her feet, whacking her shin on her chair in her haste to get away from the incoming Thom. Thom streaks through the umbrella and collides with the chair with an almighty crash. He groans as he gets up, the Ref muttering about 'hotel trashing rock stars.' Thom sheepishly goes back on the field of battle, the Ref righting her chair and flopping into it, rubbing her shin. Thom sighs and then the back of his head is splattered with a hard glob with gooey edges. He yelps and rubs it, spinning around has he hears snickering.

Very Quietly use a Vine Whip to spin Thom around like he's ready to hit a pinata, throw some sharp snaps into that as well. Since he's dizzy he won't be able to tell where we are. Hit him with a Magical Leaf and then with another Giga Drain, but keep your distance.

Also, if Botany gained health from the Giga Drain then why is her Post and Pre-Round stats the same at 57 HP?

Thom relaxes, but perks his ears, listening for any sound. Botany slowly takes out her vines and sneaks them forward. When she is but a few feet away she lashes otu and lassoes the Aimpom. He cries out and starts to zoom, but Botany isn't gong to let him do that. While she tries to spin him about, he is trying to dash away and it ends up quite a mess. Botany is getting thrown around almost as much as she is throwing. The ends results do work though, and Thom is hopelessly dizzy.

Thankfully for Botany her dizziness won't affect the leaves. She fries off a flurry of them and they sail true for Thom. He hears them but is so turned about he can't quite figure up from down. He sets up a Counter anyway and the leaves slam into it. The energy goes flying out but with no direction it shoots off into the distance . . . missing Botany by only a few feet.

She shudders and then whips out a vine and wraps it around Thom. He squirms and groans as energy is sucked from him. He powers up a Payback however and touches the vine, seeing where it leads. When Botany releases he follows it he slams into her, just barely making out her shadowy form. She yelps and tumbles as the attacks hits her. She gets up and glares at him and he glares right back, for now knowing just where she is.

Okay Botany, time for some other tactics. Flashing him again would just be redundant, plus with you Taunted it's kinda pointless at this point.

Barrage him with a Bullet Seed to start, then Frustration, the Taunting should have made you mad enough for it to do some harm, and finally end with a Sludge Bomb. If he gets in close, use a Giga Drain.

Botany glares at Thom but he can't quite make this out so the effect is lost. Either way she crouches down and through his dimmed eyes Thom can make out the glow in the centre of the bulb. He frowns at this and summons up a great ball of water between his two front paws. He fires this ball, screeching into as he does. Botany fires seconds later and the two attacks collide with . . . little fanfare. The ball of water just absorbs the hits of the seeds, but it also get smaller as it does. What is left hits the plant type, doing very little damage. However the ultrasonic screech as addled her brain and she shakes her head irritably.

Now with the screech and ringing going on in her head, Botany for the life of her can't remember what exactly she was supposed to be doing. She is extremely irritated yes but, what was she going to do?While she ponders this, Thom watches her, seeing she is going to do nothing he rolls his eyes and huffs, sitting down.

This round, the ringing subsides enough for Botany to remember what she was supposed to be doing. She eyes Thom and he looks straight back at her, he still knows where she is and can make out her dim movements. She growls and sends her stomach rolling most uncomfortably. Thom waits and when she chucks up the sludge and spews it at him, he leaps high into the air. He comes down, and smashes into her head, causing her to kiss the ground most unpleasantly.

Botany gets up from her head-smashed position and galres at Thom with as much hatred as she can muster. He just grinned before he flipped and jumped backward, getting the space he needs. Botany snorted, unimpressed, and braced herself as she prepared for her next move.

The second he had enough room, Thom ran forwards and leaped up high into the high right in front of Botany. She looked up and snaked out her vines. However she seemed to be rather confused . . . Thom reached the apex of his climb and dived down; using gravity and his momentum to get to a great rate of speed. Botany yelled her name and slapped herself with the vines instead of Thom. It stung like a Beedrill and snapped her right out of her confused state. Meanwhile Thom streaked right towards her but instead of her he buried himself in the turf right beside Botany. She blinks before bursting out laughing. Unfortunately for Thom his eyes misjudged exactly where Botany was; to his great pain and chagrin.

He sat back and spat out grass and dirt, wiping his face to try and get the dirt out of them. Botany is the one to back away a little this time, although with much less fanfare. Just as Thom is looking up she flaked off a great many leaves and sent them whirling in his direction. He yelped as they dug into his skin before he could move. He angrily got to his feet and concentrated, forming a set of glowing stars. He sent them off and they crashed into Botany with mini explosions of light.

Now that both of them are aware and not dwelling on hurts, they both form their attacks quickly. Botany sent out her flurry of rainbow coloured leaves and Thom sent his collection of glowing stars at the same time. They flew through the air and smashed into one another midway between the Pokémon. Only a few managed to get through and strike their intended targets. Attacks over they glare at each other, Botany a great deal more beat up. Although Thom is more winded then she is.

Thom is panting heavily, he really would rather not leap up into the air, but it has been a useful tactic thus far. He gets some distance as Botany is preparing her mixture of sand and Bulba-spit. Actually has great healing qualities when applied to-- *the trainers glare* Right, ah hem, the battle. Botany rolls up the ball and flings it at Thom but oh no he wants not of that muckiness. He rushes and leaps up over it. With a spin for some added finesse he slams into Botany's head. She yelps and flings Thom away in pain, but Thom just looks pleased.

However all this leaping and no rest is finally taking it's toll on Thom. He can feel the super energy of his muscles disappearing, his speed is back to what a normal Aipom is. Fast to be sure but not the crazed speed he had earlier. He is getting he reserves up but Botany is taking the advantage and somehow makes her vine gain a razor edge. He stretches them forward and begins beating him with them. He yelps and leaps up, but not before some damage is taken. This is the end for Botany though and as he comes crashing down and slams into he bulb, she can't take it anymore and collapses.
