I'll start things off by sending out Haku, my shiny female Ninjask.

Sure, Rest is now banned. I'm not to fond of Rest ether, thats why I don't use it.

Alright Haku, use your superior speed to hit Isis with Toxic before she has a chance to use Double Team. Then get rid of her clones with a Swift attack. Finish off with a Double Team of your own.

BATTLE

In one of the simplest of battlefields, two combatants square it up and make ready for a good ol' rip roaring fight. On one side stands a kawaii kitty possible named for an Egyptian goddess, and her opponent is probably yet another Pokemon in the ASB Forum with a Naruto namesake.

Wasting no time and doing the original Haku proud, she moves with a speed that is almost undetectable to the normal human eye, and spits out a gob of purple goo that splatters all over the hapless Shinx. Isis, now poisoned but defiant, shimmers and Haku is now surrounded.

Sadly, Isis' efforts are put to naught with a veritable flood of small stars emitted by Haku, the images flickering and then fading out of sight. Undeterred by this minor setback, Isis retaliates with miniature bolts of lightning of her own which slam with unfailing accuracy at the Ninjask, despite any valiant efforts on her part to utilise her superior speed in abortive attempts to dodge.

Vibrating at a speed that makes her almost an indistinct blur, Haku splits and now, it is Isis' turn to be surrounded. She keeps calm and listens carefully, and leaps, her jaw open and fire gleaming at her fangs. With some luck, she does choose the right Bug, and Haku soon learns that despite its cuteness and cuddliness, a Shinx can really bite.

Isis finally lets go, but she leaves a deep cut and seared flesh in her wake. Suddenly dizzy, Isis sits, realising that all this movement is only causing the poison in her system to circulate all the faster.

BATTLE

The Indigo Stadium speakers start blasting out music from the Rurouni Kenshin OST2, the current track being "Starless - Tsuki mo Naku, Hoshi mo Naku", for no other reason other than the ref evidently seems to be enjoying it.

Haku channels a significant amount of his energy into creating a perfect substitute doll of himself. Staring rather blankly at the doll, Isis attacks, a bolt of lightning zigzagging out and striking the doll accurately.

Zipping lower to the ground, Ninjask swats up goblets of mud and starts flicking them in Shinx's direction, soiling her pretty blue coat. Enraged, she leaps forward, sinks her teeth into the substitute doll, and releases high voltage electricity.

Haku darts in, front legs crossed, and as hard as he can, he lashes out at Isis, opening two long wounds on her side. Slightly giddy from the poison in her veins and the pain, she directs more electrical energy towards the doll, who can no longer sustain any more damage, and disintegrates. She looks up and directs a hate filled glance towards her opponent, who, zips around, as hale and hearty as he can be, despite lasting agony from early burn wounds.

BATTLE

Keeping it simple this round, Isis sends a whole flurry of little electric bolts at Haku, or to be more accurate, where Haku was a couple of miliseconds ago before he burrowed down into the dirt.

Now, a waiting game is to be played out between the two Pokemon, but Isis is sitting tight, not so foolish as to attack thin air. Haku therefore feels almost obliged to come up and thump her hard, whereby she takes gleeful enjoyment in hitting him with shockwave.

Shaking off the clumps of dirt still attached to his body, Haku zips in for yet another X-scissor, slashing down more long cuts onto Isis' side, and he gets another taste of electricity for his pains.

Both suffer from their earlier inflicted status conditions as per usual.

1. I don't believe in a Pokemon attacking nothing. Seriously. u.u WHY...would Isis waste energy just shooting off Shockwaves at a opponent who isn't there, one that she clearly knows is sniggering away underground? Plus she isn't under the influence of some illusion, she isn't confused and she isn't even sleepy or very tired..

BATTLE

Trying to go for the same trick again, Haku creates a substitute of himself, but since he isn't too high on energy, this one seems to be rather small and frail comparatively. Isis roars now, but rather ineffectually, as it only serves to hasten Haku's hasty retreat below ground, leaving Isis to tear hungrily with burning fangs at the doll, which disintegrates after one attack. Paltry thing.

Scrabbling hastily with her pawed feet, Isis digs furiously, trying to find her opponent, throwing dirt up in all sorts of directions. Haku remains silently hidden, regaining lost energy, resting as best he can, shuddering a little everytime his burn wounds throb.

Isis fails to find him, and gives up, and her pulse quickens as pain races white hot down her nerves.

I read the description of Dig

It is very difficult to follow a Digging pokémon, since they move the earth from in front of themselves to the tunnel behind themselves, thus sealing it up as they proceed. A follower, whether hostile or friendly, must stay very close.

and later...

However, they may be able to dig down to find a Digger, given time.

Since she spent one action killing the substitute doll, she wouldn't have been very close behind, right? During the 3rd turn when she started digging, I gave her a 35% chance of finding the Ninjask, and used the random integer generator.

But I haven't watched the anime in ages, so I didn't really know about following them into the hole ^^U

In the Johto episode where Ash battles Jasmine, I believe he orders Cyndaquil into the hole Steelix created to hide from him. Whatever though, I'll forget about it

Alright I'd like to call an end to this match. It's been over a month with no word (in this match) from our ref and I'm getting ready to take on Chris in a gym match. So I'm calling it quits for this match.
