Arena: Shopping Mall Arena


Shopping Mall Arena: The battle takes place in, around, or on top of a large indoor shopping mall (Californians, think the Galleria in Roseville). Amongst the various A/C and filtration systems on the rooftop, there are also some glass skylights (including a Hugh Jass one in the middle of the roof), which, if broken, open up a way into the mall, which is like a standard concrete indoor arena with 2 levels (with the second level being walkways along the wall: thus, a Pokemon can see the second level from the first level, and vice versa), a bunch of onlookers, and lots of property to destroy. There's many shops such as Toys R Us, books shops, liquor stores, anything you'd see in a normal Shopping Mall. There is also a Food Court in the middle, where fast food joints such as McDonalds and KFC surround the area with tables and chairs in the middle.

There's also some parking lots and the occasional outdoor promenade on the outside of the mall. Finally, since there are some larger retailers here (Sears, JC Penny, The Blonde Mecca (C)) parts of the rooftop are about a couple stories higher than the others. Battles can start anywhere in the arena, be it on the roof, or around or inside the mall itself. If a Pokemon exit the arena (which is if you get out of the car park which surround the mall itself) then the Pokemon is Disqualified and KO-ed.

Special Rules for Arena: Artificial Lighting (inside mall and parking lot), Building Edge (inside mall/mall roof), Terrain Edge (parking lot), No onlookers (the mall has been shut for the battle), Easily Destroyed, Fire Sprinklers (inside mall only), Roof Level (mall roof only). Weather and weather moves only applies on the roof top and/or outside the building such as in the Carpark(if you actually GET outside the mall)

Hikari-chan, Charm Zangoose! Then Flash it while Rika is Charmed by your kawaii-ness, so it isn't an expected attack. Safeguard if you sense any danger.

EDIT:

Sorry, BTW, we're starting in the first floor of the Shopping Mall. The shops on the first floor are a book shop, Toys R' Us, Foot Locker, a cinema multiplex, four underwear and hossery stores and the food court. We'll both start off in Toys R Us.

Okay, Rika, first I want you to use Swords Dance to spin around really fast and raise your attack power, and thus hopefully avoiding that charm attack. (You won't be able to see the think prancing around when you're spinning about like a frog in the blender, right?) Then, close your eyes and render that flash useless, and use shockwave while keeping them closed. And while that thing puts up a Safeguard, use a Focus Punch to send it flying into some shelves.

Question: I may or may not command an Assist from Hikari. If I do though, how would you ref it? Using a Radnom Number Generator on all my other three Pokemons' attacks or just the one other Pokemon I'd use in this battle?

Battle

TOYS "R" US- A toystore greatly favoured by many kids(and their parents) that has expanded its wings to reach the far corners of the globe. Filled to brim with toys, games, puzzles and miscellaneous colourful objects seemingly with no other purpose save as ornamental pieces, this unlikely spot is the beginning venue for a battle between two neko(like)-chans.

Looking, for all the world, like one of the cute cuddly stuffed toys on the shelves and definitely not some deadly little killing machine on four happy little paws is Hikari, currently as bouncy and bubbly and bright as, well, Light. She sidles endearingly towards the larger Rika, who gazes at her passively. Just when she's about to turn on her full blast of charmingness, the Zangoose, acting on very strict orders, lifts her beclawed arms and spins in a dizzying motion, a blur. Skitty, rather angry at being ignored, sits down and yowls rather dismally.

Hikari waits patiently, keeping a close eye on the twirling Rika, waiting and waiting until she slows and stops, and suddenly, a bright flash lights up the store blindingly, glinting of rather creepily on the eyes of a whole row of porcelain dolls on display, going cheap for only $5.99, on account of them being too psychotically scary. Unfortunately for the poor Skitty, not only does her effort go unrewarded, she finds herself hit continuously by a whole string of tingly, very painful bits of lightning electricity.

A white dome is soon seen to be slowly coalescing around the form of the little kiity- I mean Skitty-cat, but her opponent is by no means resting on her laurels. Rika is concentrating hard, her brow furrowed, as her fist begins to glow a very portentous white that does not bode well for Hikari. It is a race against time to see who will finish first, offense or defense, and in a split second, both are done, but who will triumph? Silently, Rika charges forward, her right fist raised back while Hikari waits a little nervously within her opaque shield. With a loud explosion of light and sound, Zangoose's fist connects with the barrier, and it shatters. Losing much momentum, she lands a glancing blow on the cowering Skitty, who spits in anger at having been injured.

1 - Actually I wanna ask you something, winged_follower; you told Skitty to safeguard if it senses any danger, that is your third attack right? *just making sure*
2 - Same note I add to all my first round reffings, no Energy KOs unless specially requested.
3 - Zangoose used more energy that I would normally ref for Shock Wave because she was attacking with her eyes closed, stands to reason some of it would have missed before she got it right and hit the Skitty.
4 - Focus punch takes a considerable long time to charge and uses much energy. Yeap yeap.

Yeah, the Safeguard was my third move. When Saffire Persian chose Zangoose, I knew she was planning to go offensive. XP
