Just a quick doubles match to get a bit of EXP/evolution for my team.

This is a large, round, colloseum-style water arena, similar to those used in the Whirl Cup in the anime (a few pics are here).

I'm using my Piplup [M], Prince, and my Tentacool [F], Ruba.

Alright, let's begin!

Rhoas, you go for the tentacool! Hit it hard and fast with a Shockwave, then get up close with a Thunder Punch and a Discharge!

Fool, keep the Piplup occupied. Tickle it and then hit it with a Confusion and a Double Slap!

*Fanfare erupts from the stadium walls, as pillars used for quick traction across the watery pit rise up from their underwater resting place. Standing upon the highest of the rising pillars stands the referee, with a fish on top of his head.*

Dl here -.- Welcome to the now filled Roman Colloseum. We'll be having another marvelous 2 sv 2 battle. *ring* Oh.. oh hold on folsk. Gotta take this.

Anyway. Chris 2.1 is here, and Mystic Clown is the challenger! Chrios's Pokemon both take to the water, while Clown's Pokemon stay out. Rhoas looks ready to start this match with a bright show of effects. His hands wield the mighty power of electricity-and with such power, he balls it up above his head, before releasing it around him-but directing it toward the water.

Prince meanwhile, jumps out of the water, heading toward the mime, but realizes his mistake. At the last second, Ruba jumps up and uses her tentacles to throw Prince up, allowing Prince to avoid being struck by the incoming Shockwave. Prince thanks his partner and aims his trajectory for the Fool, beak glowing with light bluish energy.

Rhoas snickered, watching Ruba fall back toward the ocean. As she fell, Ruba made sure to release a special sphere of sharp pinkish light right at Rhoas. The speedy ball of light slammed into Rhoas, inflicting him with a much more dulled-down pain that Ruba felt.

Only a few feet away, Prince was standing over Fool, pecking at his body vehemently.Fool fought back in a weird way, grabbing those small wings of the Piplup and Tickling them, forcing Piplup to stop his attack and laugh. Fool quickly gained the upper hand, forcing Prince on his back.

Feeling vulnerable, Prince quickly rolled away from Fool, getting a few last chuckles out. Fool needed only that limited amount of time to throw out some psychic energy at Prince, throwing him back and ironically, off the pillar! Prince spun as he fell, and was able to fire a Water Pulse up at Fool, striking him back from looking over in glee.

As Prince fell into the water and swam, unnoticed by Fool, back toward the pillar; Ruba was squaring off against the electric type. Trying to deceive the plughead, Ruba dipped under the water. Upon resurfacing, there were 4 Rubas' all looking up at Rhoas. Rhoas hissed in disagreement, and threw out a nasty surprise. He jumped off the platform, right for the Ruba over to the right. His fist cracking with a Thunderous sound, he swung, only to have his Punch zoom right through a clone. Splashing into the water, Rhoas quickly swam up to see the other Ruba's laughing and closing in on him.

Fool looked back over the platform edge of this three foot pillar they stood on. The water was crystal clear, but still, Prince was nowhere to be seen. As he soon found out, a rising Whirlpool of water engulfed the pillar, trapping him inside it. Prince jumped out of the side of the Whirlpool, watching as Fool was carried up higher and higher-making him unable to attack.

Rhoas though, had bigger problems. Being off land, it made it harder for him to concentrate on the fight, since he had to swim at the same time. Hastily, he made a break for another piece of land he could stand on, but Ruba and her gang surrounded him. Trapped, Rhoas lashed out with a nasty Discharge, that bounded through the area. Ruba and her clones all felt the shock of such an attack, and they all seemed to sink.

Sighing, Rhoas swam the last leg to another shorter pillar, climbing up. As he climbed up, he couldn't shake the feeling there was something Draining him. Looking over his shoulder, he saw nothing. No Ruba, no nothing.

Lying on his back as he reached the top, Rhoas turned his head to see a Whirlpool still going where he used to be, and Fool bouncing around in it? What was he doing?

Prince dove back into the watery arena, and Fool finally fell out of the Whirlpool, stranded on the pillar. Ruba bobbed back onto the surface, not too pleased with how things were turning out.

Thanks for the quick reffing DL - I can always rely on you, it's very much appreciated. But Mirror Coat deals double the damage recieved; if Ruba recieved 12% damage, Elekid should have been hit with 24%.

Mirror Coat: The user shimmers and glows, and special attacks are bounced back toward their source. ...blah blah blah..oh here we go..The user of Mirror Coat still suffers some damage and fatigue from the strain of redirecting attacks, although typically less than it would have had it not Mirror Coated. The redirected attack is of the same element and same power as the original attack, but always has good accuracy and does not take any time to charge. The effects of this attack can be very surprising the first few times in the match, especially if used sparingly, and therefore an incautious opponent may be less likely to dodge. Excellent accuracy.

And to think I ran this place! Ok then guys let's keep it up. Ruba, use ice beam on Elekid. Next use secret power at Mime Jr and end with surf.

Prince, strike Mime Jr with aerial ace. Then use agility to speed around the arena, and end with stealth rock to limit our foes moves. (In saying this, I am assuming aiming rocks at the platforms is manageable)

Alrighty, let's do this. Rhoas, use Double Team to dodge the Ice Beam and counter with a Thunder. Then, wait until the surf floods the field and use Thunderbolt. With any luck, the water should let us hit both of them.

Fool, wait until Prince gets close and hit him with a Thunderbolt. Then, while he's flying around use Shockwave and finally protect to avoid Rhoas' Thunderbolt

===Round 2===

The second round starts with a change of plans for bothy Parties. Prince is on the move, jetting up the side of the Whirlpool where Fool is currently trapped inside. Bursting through with avian energy, Fool was struck backwards by the diving penguin. Landing on the rocky platform trapped in the whirlpool, Prince turned to see Fool was only slightly hurt by that.

Prince would suddenly go flying out the other side of the whirlpool, cracking as he did so. Fool laughed maniacally from inside his prison, that close-range Thunderbolt did wonders!

Spotting the flying Piplup, Rhoas smirked, glad to know his cohort was still going. Wasting no time on his end, he clasped his hands together, and released a flash of energy, Ruba not too sure what was going on, took her aim, and fired at Rhoas, though she swore she saw him on the left, not right.

Her aim was fail. Stunned, she looked again, only to see three Rhoas's all waving at her, before all of them pulled their lower eyelid down.

Landing with a splash, Prince welcomed the water. Knowing that stupid Mime would be stuck in his watery prison for a few more moments, he quickly regained his resolved and shot back up toward the Whirlpool again. However, to Fool's dismay, Prince jetted around it, and began to circle the arena, obviously building his speed up. Rhoas turned to watch the speedy swimmer, allowing Ruba to go and "check-up" on Fool.

Fool didn't like the fact he had no visitors, and so, decided to make his presence known. It took a lil bit, but a ring of electricity came flying out from Fool's prison. Ruba wasn't expecting it, and barely dodged the first Wave.

Rhoas spotted the wave, and saw how it was aiming for Prince. Prince saw it too, and sped up as much as he could, barely avoiding the Shock. It was the second and third ones that caught Prince pretty good, throwing him back a bit more.

Ruba though, popped her head out of the Whirlpool, to Fool's dismay. Rhoas lent a hand just then, seemingly throwing something at the Whirlpool. It turned out to be his way of calling a Thunder. The storm clouds crackled over head, and he lost a clone for using so much energy, but it was worth it.

Ruba threw a Secret Power in the air at Fool, which struck him back into the Whirlpool-which bounced him back onto the platform. But the subsequent Thunder blasted Ruba out the Whirlpool and into the water, pretty painfully. Fool coughed, not liking that blast at all.

Feeling the sting of electric's paralysis. Prince thought he wasn't gonna be able to move. He was right, as he lied on a stone pillar platform across the way from Rhoas's position. Fighting it with no success, Prince lied there, pretty mad.

Fool took a running charge at his prison and blasted through it finally, seeing as it weakened considerably. However, he charged...straight into water. But the water was higher than the pillar. Looking below, he could barely made out a red glint forcing the water to rise into a huge wave. Ruba was glad the little mime got out, made her Surf much easier.

Spotting the heavy danger he was in, Rhoas once again called for the electrical energies he was so good at calling. Lobbing his hands forward, a swift Thunderbolt was released in an arc, just before he got slammed by the Surf. As the water crashed, hitting Prince as well, the Thunderbolt hit the water, shocking everything in its vicinity.

Since Prince was knocked far away, it was to his favor. Ruba though...not so much, as she was rattled pretty bad by it.

Fool quietly floated atop the water...in his little Protective bubble.

===Round 3===

Unsure of what to expect at any moment, the paralyzed Prince took a moment to stand up and assess. Over to the left, Ruba was having a tough time. She was conjuring up a surf to engulf both Rhoas and Fool, but the duo were spaced pretty far apart. so she needed to start from wayy back. Not to mention that Fool had fired off a nasty Confusion that gave her something to be mad over as she swam backwards.

Speaking of which, Rhoas had his energy on him! Hoping he could accomplish it, Prince concentrated and waved his flippers hectically. The force of electric energy crashed successfully into a nasty barrier, that was able to Protect Prince from that harmful blast.

Both Pokemon scoffed, and Fool was able to jump to where Rhoas was, only for both of them to be slammed by a megaton Surf. That shield continued to protect Prince as the wave crashed over him as well.

With Rhoas and Fool under the waves, Ruba had the advantage...and she tried to utilize it. Fool saw the incoming Tentacool though, and fired off a Psychic wave that pushed Ruba down deep under. That allowed him time to swim up. Rhoas followed, and both Pokemon grabbed onto a pillar. Prince saw the duo emerge, and chirped, before jumping into the water....

and sinking like a rock! Stupid paralysis! He wriggled to try and get himself form sinking, when suddenly, a flurry of swift moving objects shot through the water and impaled him, before fizzling away. It stung more than anything, but he'd survive.

Miffed however, Ruba shot up under where Fool was clamoring. As the duo climbed up, trying to reach the top of the pillar, Ruba resurfaced, and allowed the winds to whip around her, before shooting up. Water was tossed vertically, freezing as it surged upward. Fool looked down, and screamed, as the Blizzard collided with him dead on. Rhoas was not lucky as well-as shards sliced his fingers and back. The bitter cold caused Fool to lose his grip, Rhoas unable to help his falling partner.

Fool didn't like this tentacool, but right now was not the time for fighting. He began to swim toward the nearest pillar to begin to climb, but his luck fared no better. As he tried to get to safety, a ice floe began to rise up a few yards to his left. Looking at it, a second ice floe began heading his way, terribly fast. The floe burst out of the water, revealing itself to be an Ice Beam!

Prince, free to move once more, fired the curvy shot that slammed Fool deeper into the ocean, and actually froze his feet! Unable to kick, Fool groaned as the ice kept turning him upside down. Spinning over and over, Ruba lazily floated toward him, and began to siphon his energy at a Giga rate. Fool couldn't fight it, and ended up wasting a buttload of energy before he finally grabbed onto something to stop his capsizing!

Rhoas? Oh he's atop that pillar, laying on his back relaxing after the Blizzard.

I thought 6% for a swift was quite high, and 10% for a Blizzard seemed slightly low. But it was an interesting round. Thanks for the increasingly fast and detailed reffings though

Prince, use aqua ring to start with. Next use facade on Elekid and end with ice beam on Mime Jr.

Prince has his defense lowered though, so S-o crap wait Swift is special now x_x. Grrr That's my fault. (Seriously, moves need big overhaul. specially with the special/physical split.)

Blizzard..yeah I had to re-read your attack, and you asked for it to hit Fool. T'was tricky since Blizzard hits both opponents on the field, so I gave more of the focus to Fool than to Rhoas. Tweaked the damage, its a little higher on Fool's end, but not full force since Rhoas was there to take some of the hit as well.

Fixed Swift Calc.

A special/physical shift is an interesting preposition. But I don't know if it would apply as directly to the ASB as it did in the games. I also think many attacks could be focused towards one foe more than the other, or, in the opposite way, designed to hit both Pokemon. But I like that you took the game effect into account

Yeah, I should know better than to think attacks can't be "isolated" in ASB, lol. That's my fault. Will try to not have it happen again, unless you say something like "Use Blizzard so it dips left and completely circumvents the other Pokemon while making me a sno cone and strike [insert Pokemon here}

Then Ima just smack you have make your dude use Splash.

Alright, Fool, hit the water repeatedly with Thunderbolt. If Ruba comes out of the way, hit her with a confusion instead.

===Round 4===

This battle is still anyone's game, as Fool starts off this round with a shocking blast. A Thunderbolt blasts down in front of him, electrically charging the water around him. Rhoas sees the bolt come down, and smirks, knowing the pair of them have a serious advantage. He rolls onto his hands and knees before regrouping. 5 Rhoas appeared on the platform, all watching the water's for Prince...

..who shoots out of the water, a Ring of water encasing him as he dives back under. Although paralyzed, he still loves the freedom water allows him. Ruba could relate, if she wasn't getting shocked by the haywire Thunderbolts. They weren't direct hits, but they still hurt. Taking revenge in a nasty matter, he fired a swath of Briny fluid right onto Fool.

The hit of salty seawater broke Fool's grasp onto the pillar, and down he went, capsized by the icy brick still binding his feet.

Although upside down, Fool could still see the tentacles of that jellyfish staying near the surface. Running low on air, he summoned a second bolt in the water, actually striking the ice holding his feet. The blast hit, shocking him a tad.

Ruba this time, was not affected by the blast, as she had moved over to where Rhoas was. Rhoas had his attention on Prince, whom was free to move once more. Before the penguin fired off anything, Rhoas and his clones fired a swath of Shockwaves into the lake, zapping both Ruba and Prince.

Both Pokemon did not appreciate the hit, and each retaliated. Prince sunk immediately, fooling Rhoas into thinking that the ray of energy that shot through two of his clones was the only attack. He laughed, only to be blitzed by the Facade wielding Prince, which slammed the duo into the water again.

Losing his clones, Rhoas and Prince struggled with each other underwater. Rhoas though, was on a losing battle, as Prince started to act like a dead weight, forcing him deeper and deeper. It was evident what occurred as Rhoas placed both his hands on Prince, and released a Shockwave into Prince's system. making him the epicenter.

Prince was pushed away through the water like a shot, and Rhoas made his way to the surface. Danged paralysis.

The electricity did not affect Ruba, least not yet. She bobbed back over to Fool, who was now halfway up to a flat surface. He screamed as he turned to see Ruba closing in on his position, and held up a fist of electrical energy. Ruba tempted fate, and moved in a bit closer. Fearing she wasn't scared of the Thunderbolts, Fool opted for plan two. Open palm faced Ruba, before Ruba's body felt forced downward. Confusing forces pulled at her body, and she writhed in agony.

But she survived. Fool quickly began to climb, but the Briny blast struck his back, and he swore he could feel tiny barnacles suck on his back! Uncool!!

Rhoas, they're in the water, move in for the kill! Thunder the water and then head for land. If Ruba gets out of the water before the Thunder hits, hit her wiht Shockwave instead.

Ruba, use blizzard to freeze the whirlpool Prince traps Elekid in. Then use ice beam on Mime Jr and end with brine on Mime Jr. If he ahs fainted by this point, aim a Blizzard at Elekid.

===Round 5===

Hearing his instruction as he tried to get back to land, and steadiness, Rhoas quit his Olympic trial foe the 100 meter swim. The electrical Pokemon looked over to his target, that being the partially camouflaged jellyfish. Taking aim, he began to summon the clouds of wrath that would most likely spell the end for her, had not a wall of water shot up in front of him, deflecting his view of Ruba. The clouds still built up, and the threatening sound of Thunder could be head above everyones head. Rhoas though, felt helpless as he was spun around and around from Piplup's Whirlpool, the speedy Penguin stopping his spin when there was enough inertia to maintain itself.

Trying to attain a grip on the situation, Rhoas began flopping as hard as he could, hoping to catch a glimpse of where to let the Thunder strike. His chance was shot, as a Blizzard ripped through the arena. Thanks to the cloud cover, it was colder than usual, as it began to freeze the Whirlpool in place. Rhoas continued to flop about, and wound up halfway frozen-vertically. With one arm and one leg free, he waved them around angrily, as the frozen Whirlpool fell into the water.

Fool watched this with fear in his eyes, his partner was being ganged up on! As he watched though, the score was even -as a huge Thunder crashed into the arena, sending rivulets of electrical energy into the water. Prince, whom was under the conical ice floe, quickly swam up upon it, barely avoiding the dastardly shock from Rhoas.

Ruba though, wasn't quite so lucky, and fell prey to Rhoas' immense attack.

As Ruba sank to the depths, Rhoas quietly watched as Prince bounced around on the ice floe. Even though halfway stuck in ice, he felt safe for the moment, and just relaxed.

Fool however, didn't like the situation. Though Prince was in the water, Fool knew the penguin was up to something. That became apparent when the little bird shot off a series of frothy shots in the air. Fool tried his best to evade the Briny assault, but was struck down by one.

Pissed that the conical floe was floating around his resting area, Fool demanded Prince to come and fight him on his own turf! Prince shook his head in disagreement, and took in another deep breath. Rhoas watched, wondering just why Prince didn't go near him?

The realization became all too apparent when Fool was struck into the water by a second Briny shot, Prince jumping to add power to the shot. Fool didn't resurface, and Rhoas now began struggling to free the other half of his body from the ice floe. But with only one arm and foot free, things were exceptionally difficult.

Fool and Ruba are gone, leaving Rhoas stuck in ice and Prince gleefully feeling better and better every round! (+5H)

===Round 6===

Prince, happy to see that Rhoas was still stuck in the ice floe, gleefully began to conjour up another Blizzard. The temperature dropped drastically, Rhoas immediately not approving. Using all the energy he could muster, sparks began to fly in a concentrated arc around Rhoas, bouncing and singing everything it touched.

Prince noticed the Discharge of electricity , but held out, as the wave of electricity ran him through and through. Tuckered out, he fell onto the newly created Ice sheet, and lied there, dazed.

Rhoas justr stared as his ice floe hit the disc of land Prince made out of ice. Hate him so very much...

Although the heightened paralysis field came over Prince now, he just suffered though it, relaxing as best he could. Rhoas did as well, still trying to free himself. Least his tongue was free..

The duo seemed to be getting ready to wrap this up, and it began to show. Prince just floated in the water, apparently relaxing atop the waves. A Shockwave sped to his position, striking him back and forth, and readily trying is defenses, but he still eyed the Elekid.

He was just Biding his time away.

Still floating along, a second Shock Wave struck Prince~! He growled under his beak, but still Bided. His beak clacked oddly though after a moment, and Rhoas turned to see a huge ball of electric energy fly up from Prince's beak. Running on his platform to the very edge, Rhoas crossed his arms adn braced himself as the ball slammed into him. To his dismay, he was unable to resist it, and went flying back into the surf.

Proud with himself, Prince quickly created a bubble that he could relax in as he floated atop the waves. Rhoas wasn't having that, and sent out a Shockwave to prohibit Prince. However, the waves of electricity fell on deaf ears.

===Round 8===

In what looks to be the final round, Prince makes a last ditch effort to stop Rhoas in his tracks. As the electric pokemon swims to shore, he is unhampered by Prince, as the speedy Penguin falls under the whim of paralysis once again. Rhoas is pleased, and diversifies his odds, creating 4 clones to stand alongside him atop the pillar.

Prince: *Par* ==///== Rhoas: -4E

Not liking how this is working out, Prince shoots forward, blasting a murky briny fluid art Rhoas. They all block and one completely evaporates. Rhoas gleefully smirks, and loses another clone in the wake of charging and releasing a Thunder. It strikes the water right next to Prince, throwing him out vehemently and casting him aside.

Hurt, adn battered, Prince falls, idly floating in the direction the waves wish to move. Rhoas isint without injury however, panting heavily after this match. He barely pulled it out.

Agreed; I actually thought I could have pulled a win out there, which, considering the two Pokemon I was facing is quite a statement. Think I'll try and evolve one of these guys....and I should really update my account since I've won a couple contests too.
