uh yeah I dont know what happened here but i got an email saying happy birthday from this forum but I dont ever remember signing up then I read I tried recovering the password to this account almost all my emails were banned... Now I know I havnt been on this forum to do anything bad or have Ive been on any other forums doing bad things to get banned so My question is whats up?

Are you using a webmail account such as Hotmail or Gmail?

I ask because I have a Hotmail account and have a similar situation, where I'm getting emails that are clearly intended for someone else. I guess my address used to belong to that other person, but they stopped using it so Hotmail allowed me to sign up with it.

Well,

If you click on a member's username, it takes you to their profile. Seeing yours tells me the member signing up your account is 21 at the moment, which doesn't add up to what you said about being 12 in 2002.

Apparently, it's what Jeff said, though I must say my brother had something similar happen to him a couple of times, and he had an e-mail handed out by an ISP. If that's the case with you, I can only ask: have you recently signed up with a similar forum?

Now, as for stopping the notifications
If you are logged in, you have a link in the top navigation bar named "User CP". In there, you can edit your settings, which include these and these here. Now, surprisingly, it doesn't seem to include any settings to edit your birthday or notification thereof *scratches head*, so the wisest thing to do might be requesting for your account to be deleted.

Nah I dont wanna get my account deleted I was a huge pokemon fan growing up I always had my treasured card um it started with a "a" arnicuno or somthing like that it was a ice bird one of the ledgendary pokemon So i geuss ill keep it and the cool thing is the account was like one of first 1k lol

So yeah you guys will see me one thing i cant change the password i gotta keep using the numbers because frostguy@hotmail.com has been a banned email account and my frostguy@yahoo.com and frostguy2@yahoo.com and yeah i can go on and on with all my other emails . so can someone un ban them please?

Now unfortunately those e-mails can't be un-banned, they ramped up security around here to decrease the chances of accounts getting hacked into and such. What you'll want to do is change the account's e-mail to something secure, not a free webmail service. Could you by any chance use the e-mail address from your Internet provider?

Actually, in a fun little catch-22, you can't edit your account information if your E-mail has been banned. Your E-mail address is included under said account data, which means that once you've got a problem you're locked into it. The way around that is to have one of the admins change your address manually; I've requested it on behalf of several people in the past, so it probably wouldn't be an issue.

However, I thought Gabi said the banned domain restriction had been lifted awhile back... perhaps I misunderstood her.

I was able to change my account email just fine recently. I also remember hearing Chris saying that the restriction was lifted.

The restriction was lifted months ago but thanks to a bizarre vBulletin bug you can't edit your profile if you have a banned email address.

Looks like one of the other admins beat me to it and edited it to frostguy@hotmail.com for you, it should all work now.

And how do I use my internet provider as a email..?

cant you just make it where we can use hotmail or yahoo... I mean seriously who would hack someone to get on their pokemon masters forum account?

If some says they know someone that would do that ... well that guy has no life whatsoever.

Actually, it happened a couple years ago . Some mod accounts were hacked and chaos ensued. That's why the restriction was put on the accounts in the first place.
