This battle takes place in a grassy meadow that’s surrounded by a magical forest. And odd place for a battle but people have probably chosen stranger things…

Lil’ Sparky starts off by opening his mouth and letting out a horribly, eardrum shattering screech as Yariza coughs and gags (3 ENG @ Lil Sparky [-2 Def @ Yariza]). The Turtwig winces, but follows through with his orders. He spews out a glob of deep green toxins that splatter all over poor Elekid’s face, about half getting in his mouth (4 ENG @ Yariza).

Stunned but not willing to back down, Sparky runs forward, he turns his sprint into a roll as his opponent quietly summons a faint purple shield (4 ENG @ Yariza [All Physical Atk. Halved]) around himself. Elekid’s roll quickly turns into a kick that slams into the shield and only breaks through halfway (4 DMG @ Yariza, 3 ENG @ Lil Sparky).

Recovering from the hit, Yariza shakes his head and sees that Elekid’s fist has gone ablaze. Afraid, the grass type calls upon the underworld Gods to take Lil Sparky away (4 ENG @ Yariza). Lil Sparky grins, not noticing the ground underneath him is slowly beginning to loosen and wobble. He charges, his fiery fist slamming into the shield surrounding Yariza and dealing good damage for being halved (7 DMG @ Yariza, 4 ENG @ Lil Sparky). Yariza takes a step back, surprised that suddenly the ground underneath his opponent becomes like a vacuum, making it incredibly hard to stay above ground level. Panicked, Elekid struggles, trying to get free he feels the trap take it’s toll… (6 DMG @ Lil Sparky [-2 Spd @ Lil Sparky])

That's how you wanna play it...?

Li'l Sparky, start with Rain Dance. Not only will it get rid of the clones, it'll turn the sand into mud. That might make it easier for you to get out. Once you're out, use Magnet Rise to prevent future entrapment, then finish by surrounding Yariza with a Psychic barrier - the seeds'll hit it, bada-bing, bada-BOOM.

If you're still stuck after that Rain Dance, try jerking your feet free with a Quick Attack.

Yariza snickers, seeing his opponent in such a situation makes him happy, he glows a bright white and splits into six (3 ENG @ Yariza). Despite the mounting odds against him, Sparky tries to keep calm and looks up towards the sky. He prays to the water Gods for rain, and suddenly the sky begins to darken (4 ENG @ Lil Sparky). The dark clouds block out the sun and thunder booms. It suddenly begins to pour down rain. The sand tomb begins to thicken, moving slower and slower as mud is created… Using this to his advantage, Sparky struggles a little but manages to crawl out of the mud pit.

Flustered, but not overall bothered by his opponent escaping. Turtwig begins to flung super-strong rocks around the field, creating cover for either side (4 ENG @ Yariza). Having escaped the pit, Sparky bends electric mana to his will and suddenly he is floating a good foot off the ground (2 ENG @ Lil Sparky).

Now comes the final actions. Elekid uses his entire mental prowess to form a bubble around Yariza (5 ENG @ Lil Sparky). Turtwig fires off a round of powerful, explosive seeds that slam into the psychic bubble. Each explosion weakens the shield (each explosion dealing a small amount of damage to Turtwig)(4 DMG @ Turtwig), and about half of the attack breaks through, pelting Lil Sparky who couldn’t hold the bubble up (7 DMG @ Lil Sparky, 2 ENG @ Yariza).

I believe my attack was misconstrued: The object of the Psychic bubble wasn't to create a shield and try and stop the blasts, it was to set up an invisible bubble that was close enough to make the exploding seeds backfire and injure Yariza.

Also, how does a Seed Bomb only use up 2 points of energy? far as I remember, it's a pretty strong attack. Especially if about half of it is still enough to do 7 damage to its target.

Another round begins with Lil Sparky using his own energy and specialized pale mana to spawn an identical (not really) copy of himself (10 DMG @ Lil Sparky, 4 ENG @ Lil Sparky). Yariza, oblivious to the copy for now, concentrates and prays to the Fire Goddess. The clouds soon break away and shining through the darkness is the bright, very powerful sun (4 ENG @ Yariza).

Elekid fires off a small wave of electricity at Turtwig (1 ENG @ Lil Sparky). Yariza however, has coated himself in a glossy substance that eagerly absorbs the sparks like their nothing (4 ENG @ Yariza).

Lil Sparky decides to go again, noticing his plan has been foiled; he begins to gather up uncontrollable electrical energy that flies wildly from his body. It zig zags across the field in seemingly every direction available before slamming into poor Yariza (11 DMG @ Yariza, 3 ENG @ Lil Sparky)! The grass type, who has been storing solar energy points and shoots- At the rather crudely put together copy! The doll is disintegrated easily, but completely misses the real Elekid who was to the right, specifically next to one of the giant rocks. (3 ENG @ Lil Sparky). The rurple shield that has protected Yariza so far fades away…

Use Toxic when he comes in for a Body Slam. Then, whip up a 3% Substitute to (barely) absorb the Leech Seed and the Solarbeam. Finish by taking advantage of the sunny weather yourself: Wait for the Solarbeam to fly past, then blast him with another Fire Punch!

Sparky decides to try and poison Yariza with a familiar move. The electric type begins to cough and hack as the grass type charges across the field and slams into him (9 DMG @ Lil’ Sparky, 4 ENG @ Yariza). Sparky hacks up a green glob of goo and it splatters on his assailant (4 ENG @ Lil Sparky), alas, the safeguard protects Turtwig.

Annoyed, Lil Sparky concentrates and creates another copy of himself (3 DMG @ Lil’ Sparky, 4 ENG @ Lil’ Sparky). Fooled by the copy, Yariza sprays a volley of seeds at the doll and latch on (1 ENG @ Yariza).

Utilizing the sun, Yariza quickly charges up a powerful beam of energy and blasts it at the doll. The doll is obliterated, and the seeds (what’s left of them), fall harmlessly to the ground (3 ENG @ Yariza). Sparky bounds over a rock happily, and brings his flaming fist crashing down on poor grass type who cries out in shock and pain (13 DMG @ Yariza, 4 ENG @ Lil’ Sparky). Sparky falls to the ground lightly, he isn’t floating anymore.

Lil Sparky moves in fast, and swings another flaming fist into Yariza's back (13 DMG @ Yariza, 4 ENG @ Lil' Sparky). Yariza tries to create some more space between himself and his opponent. The sun was utilized again to fire a rapid Solarbeam at the assailing Elekid. (12 DMG @ Lil’ Sparky, 4 ENG @ Yariza).

Yariza doesn't let up, and fires another legion of seeds at the Elekid (1 ENG @ Yariza). Sparky dances around, but the seeds take hold, even as he completes his Rain Dance (2 ENG @ Lil' Sparky)

With no sunlight to use, Yariza tries to make the best of it. Rain begins to stream down as Yariza fires off a large sphere of Energy at the incoming Sparky (3 ENG Yariza). Sparky's fist collect an icy mana about them as he tries to punch through the attack. The Ball explodes, blowing Sparky back (5 DMG Lil' Sparky, 3 ENG Lil' Sparky)

The Safeguard fades, Sparky hacks up due to the poison and the rain keeps falling down...and Leech Seed plagues Sparky. [3 DMG Lil' Sparky, +2 ENG Yariza]

Ok, Yariza, let's go for the kill! Grab Sparky with Grass Knot, throw him to the ground and send a Razorleaf after him. Finish with your most powerfull attack; Leaf Storm.

(PS: Isn't 7 damage somewhat on the low side for a Solarbeam? It is a 120 base power attack after all.)

Yariza tries to end the match by commanding the grass to rise through the mud(3 ENG @ Yariza). The sprouts reach up for Sparky, but his body begins to levitate against the EMF of the planet, and ultimately out of reach.(2 ENG @ Lil' Sparky).

Yariza dosen't give up, and tries to slice Sparky with a flurry of razor sharp leaves (4 ENG @ Yariza). Some leaves nick at Sparky, but he waves his hands, Psychic waves repelling the onlaught and throwing them back toward the grass type.(4 ENG @ Lil' Sparky, 4 DMG @ Lil' Sparky, 3 DMG @ Yariza)

The final actions have Yariza collecting all the grassy mana possible, and unleashing it in a massive Storm of leaves (9 ENG @ Yariza). Sparky-though floating, tries to relax through the onslaught. It however, proves to be too much for him to try and sleep through.(6 ENG @ Lil' Sparky, 12 DMG @ Lil' Sparky 10 HLH @ Lil' Sparky)

Sparky falls flat on his face in the mud, exhausted.
