Here we are at the Inigo Plateau for the first round of our Legendary Tournament! Two Azelf are chosen to begin the fight.

Porthos, Green Lanturn's Azelf, goes first. It quickly throws up a shield around itself barring any strange effects to be rendered null. In a similar fashion Morrigan, Phoenixsong's Azelf, Calm's itself mentally-achieving a heightened state of power.

Opening its eyes, Morrigan stares Porthos down. Those piddly arms quickly form a decent sized Shadowball, and fire it at the doppleganger. Strange...because Porthos did the same thing. Am I watching Mirrors? The two spheres collide, but Morrigan's was stronger than Porthos and managed to engulf the other sphere, before continuing and slamming into Porthos. Ouch!

Legends though don't falter so easily. Quick as a bug, Porthos was up and ready to fight. A buildup of wind suddenly entered the Plateau, throwing dust and Sand around in a Storm of fury. A second Shadowball was flung at that moment the Sandstorm raged in, adn to Portho's luck, it flew to the right.

Morrigan gets off to a evil start, immediately trying to cast a dark spell on Porthos. Porthos doesn't care for trickery and flies through the sands, spitting in Morrigan's face, a mass of toxic substances being the result. Morrigan's tails however finish casting their Imprisoning Hex, and Porthos feels a lil different.

Not feeling as if that would come back to haunt him, Porthos conjurs up a sequence of watery barrages to Pulse into Morrigan. Morrigan shields as the blasts actually strike, twinkling auratic energy falling abut her, saving her from the slight chance of confusion.

Unapproving of its Azelfian rival, Morrigan begins to create a sphere of ghostly apparitions to quickly dispel the evil. However, Porthos begin spewing some foul language, and it gets to Morrigan. Porthos is flung back by the attack, but it's kinda pleased it called Morrigan a retarded Smurfet. Lucky for Morrigan Porthos gave up its position within the sandstorm.

So Pissed off, Morrigan could not concentrate on shocking Porthos, and Porthos took the lapse in focus to disable Morrigan for the moment. The bright flash filled the room as Morrigan...still slammed into Porthos. That Safeguard was still up! But that sand was whipping bout, making it hard to see for the pair.

Pleased, Morrigan quickly conjured up another Shadowball. Porthos backed away, and sent a missile of electricity over to shock the Legend. Morrigan was stunned but the sphere still flew. The sands partially obscured her view, and Porthos only got a glancing blow.

Um, question. Did Morrigan close its eyes at all? The intent was to shut out the Flash. If it didn't work then okay, but it doesn't look like it tried.

Anyway. Another Shock Wave, then Swift. Finish by getting as close to Porthos as possible and giving it a taste of Facade.

Pardon my tardiness. OK Porthos, let's get going. Start by absorbing the shockwave as best you can and hitting back harder with Payback. Attack the swift with a hard Water Pulse. End by letting it get a little close, but not close enough to be able to avoid a direct Fire Blast to the face.

The duplicates are unrelenting in this match up. Morrigan continues the offensive, blasting a series of Electrical Shockwaves out from its body. Porthos is struck by the stronger attack, and rams right back into Morrigan of an exceptional hit!

Morrigan, stunned from how that Payback was justly delivered, rallies forth. Stars cascade down onto Porthos as it flies forward-Water shooting at the other Azelf in Pulses. Both Pokemon were struck by each othes attack, and both floated back up, seemingly even.

As the sands begin to die down, Porthos tries for one last rally to keep Morrigan at bay. It builds up an immense Fire attack, as Morrigan blasts forth, ramming its body into the lil Fire-wielding floater. Porthos lets the Blast fly due to that hit, and Morrigan has no choice by to be burmned to a cinder.

With a weight lifted off of its mind, Porthos is quick to rally a Shadowball! Morrigan does the same, but both don't throw them at each other. Both know the ensuing explosion might wipe them both out! So they fly about criss-crossing and trying to find an opening. Morrigan does a barrel roll and wids up above Porthos, who lets it fly. Moirringan releases a moment after and the two spheres barely pass each other in flight before slamming into their targets!

Both Azelf's fall to the ground, each obviously expecting the other to be defeated.

Porthos dosen't mive and Morrigan looks to be the survivor. But the little Azelf dosen't move. Intead, it lies there, and coughs pretty loud. The field is quiet, as Morrigan slips in unconsciousness. (8)

Start with a Reflect to soften Athos's attacks; Magnet Rise would've been fun, but we aren't allowed to use that yet so. Then use Toxic and end with Extrasensory.

OK Athos...your electric attacks are pretty much moot......so, let's start with an Earthquake. Then, dodge the toxic by Digging down under the earth and smacking him one. (i forget if dig counts as one or two actions now....refs tend to ref it differently,lol) If you do have one more action, bring up yet another Sandstorm.

Each Trainer calls out their second legendary. Almost out of some clone Wars, I see a Raikou and a Regirock again. Peculiar..anyway. Cu Sith the Thundercat growls, causing its fur to tand on end, and emit enough energy to form a nice Reflective energy shield. Just in time, as Athos slams its fists in the ground to show the world that its here to shake things up!

Athos suddenly uses its massive body weight to slam into the ground, and as such a sinkhole rapidly appears. Cu Sith is stunned at this development, but knows better than to let the slow moving giant get away. A pounce and he's over Athos, spitting a Toxic substance in its face as it sinks away.

Cu looks left and right. No recognizeable mound of dirt rising up from the healing ground. It's ready to crush the golem's mind, but Athos has differnt idas. Dual rocky fists jut from the ground, and ram into Cu's tender vittles, forcing the cat to release its attack directly under it. Athos is struck by the Extrasensory, but it was much weakend by its Dig attack.

The rain becomes more than Athos is willing to bear, and he waves his boulderarms to the sky, canceling them in one swipe. The sun shines down, drying theater up. At the same time, Cu sith seems to gain a metallic sheen that looked exactly like Athos's.

Unknowingly robbed, Athos now tries for the beatdown. He beats his hands into the ground, before ripping it up, forcing a ton of rocks to enTomb the cat. The cat laughs off the damage with a weird roar, and just Calms itself

Confused as to how the cat laughed off that hit, Athos is suddenly hit with a ruviletted mass of electricity. The Calm cat just let loose a Discharge. Not to be outdone, Athos starts an Earthquake by stomping its foot. The Quake takes the THundercat off balance, but the harm seemed very much ignored.

Athos, its body churning with pain, tries to put some added leverage in the equation, waving its arms around like a limp noodle. But Cu is unaffected-blocking out the Swagger attempt with a well placed Protect.

Noting that Cu still seemed relatively calm, Athos went for the more aggressive method, ramming his body into the cat. Cu was quick to once again expend some energy on a buffering shield, that reflected a great deal of the damage he would have recieved back.

Noting the cat seemed much more defensive, Athos stomped over, and punched CU in the face...to really not do so much damage. Cu yawmed in Athos direction, and just kinda relaxed.

Cu doesn't let that phase it, and releases a single Charged Electric Beam. this beam is thicker than natural-so Athos counters with a Rock throw. He intercepts the beam-but the Beam is strong enough to char the rock in mid flight. Dosen't stop it, and Cu Sith gets hit by it!

Ffff Raikou needs Uproar or Taunt or something.

There isn't any sense wasting a ton of energy re-dealing all that damage, so. Relax first. Then, after Athos is down in its hole and is already resting, lean into the hole and Thunder Wave it for the lulz. If you don't think you can reach it by just leaning in, try and climb down and get as close to Athos as you can (you should have plenty of time for this, since it'll just be resting). As soon as you've launched T-wave, get as far away from the hole as you possibly can (getting out of it first if you need to, obviously) and relax again. Boring, I know, but at this point it looks like it's going to come down to the energy and I'd prefer it if you came out on top.

...with any luck, he'll Sleep Talk Explosion and blow up down in his little hole, far away from you.

As the thundercat noticed, the sleeping golem seemed to stop shuddering ad shaking from the poison. In fact, it looked a bit peaceful. Well not to be, as Cu plodded over, and gave Athos the spark of life, Thunderwagving it.

Cu backed away from the hole, thinking it was safe. Athos suddenly turned to face Athos, and raised one arm. Cu watched, and suddenly, Athos shone with a new brilliance.

That is so not good for Cu Sith.

Athos sleeps for now....but the match has taken on a while new level of dangerous.
