Default Water-Type Battle! RaR VS Blademaster! Ref MLG!

    Pokemon: 1v1
Order: I send out first; you attack first
    DQ Time: 5 days
    Banned Moves: None
Arena: A lovely pond in the middle of a grassy field. The pond is about 30 feet across and 20 feet deep with many smooth rocks lining the bottom. A special microphone is lowered in the center of the pond so that combatants can hear their trainers whilst under water. Portable screens are set up with the ref and both trainers so that the battle may be viewed. Unfortuantely, a few Krabby have made their home in the pond and do get disturbed by the fighting. There is 1/8 of a chance that one will pop out each round and attack the fish closest to them with a Crabhammer (50-50 chance on which one is attacked).

So yeah, here's Calypso the female Feebas and hopefully she'll get some experience.

You do realise that Magikarp and Feebas don't need exp. to evolve?

Nor do Caterpie (and metapod), Weedle (and kakuna), Beldum, Wurmple (and cascoon/silcoon), and more I think.

It said this in the topic and Feebas wasn't listed:

In the case of Wurmple, Caterpie and Weedle, evolving once will require 1 Point and the second evolution will require 3 Points. For those 3, their first evolutions, Beldum, Burmy, Combee, Kriketot and Magikarp (who will need 3 Points to evolve), battle experience isn't required.

Its because Feebas actually has a set of move tutor moves making it slightly viable to be used for battle.

I'll take you on. I have a fish I've never used before.

(throws Dive Ball) Starkiss (Luvdisc[F]), I choose you!

Start off with a Safeguard, then use Sweet Kiss, followed by Take Down.

Okay Calypso, start off with a Dragonbreath, then use a Confuse Ray to even it up. Try to use a Protect to escape Take Down.

Welcome to our legendary fishtank. We can fry ‘em, cook ‘em, grill ‘em, bake ‘em, serve it with raw with some salad, or even watch them battle! Today is such a day, the loser gets grilled with the salmon. Good luck everyone.

    *Round One Begins*

Calypso goes in for the immediaty offense en breaths green flames that go through the water without any problem. Just before the impact we see a small sparkling around Starkiss. She’s been saved from paralysis, but the attack still got her head on.

    (-3EN – 5HP Starkiss / - 6EN Calypso)

Trying to even up this assault, Starkiss goes in for a Sweet Kiss, but runs against Calypso’s Confuse Ray. Starkiss just snorts and rushes through, protected by her safeguard, and kisses Calypso on the cheek. Calypso is dazzled by the sudden form of affection and swims away quietly, confused.

    (-4EN Starkiss / -4EN Calypso)

Starkiss grins and rushes in for an attack. Building up speed, she chases Calypso who turns around and just simply smiles, to confused to do anything. Starkiss goes in for the kill and rams Calypso hard, hurting herself in the progress. Calypso just flails around, confused.

Blade, we all know what you were going to say. If you had of continued that word with a double G, you'd be perma-banned right now.

On another note I do actually read the battles of certain people because they interest me.

Or don't trust them! One of the two

    Go about battling.

    This battle has gotten weird.

Calypso, if you can hear me and aren't flailing, try Tickling that Luvdisc then attempt a Double Team. Next pull out the big guns with a Flail (I'm sad that this is my big gun).

OK, Starkiss, she seems to be in a playful mood - why not Return the sentiment? Then use Hidden Power and hope we get lucky. Finally, use another Take Down.

    *Round Two Begins*

Calypso starts off this round and swims up to Starkiss, to try and Tickle it with her fins. Starkiss gets tickled as planned and starts laughing aloud, before taking on a stern look and ramming into Calypso hard. Calypso was sent a few feet backwards, but lost her confusion.

    (-5EN Starkiss / - 3EN -6HP Calypso)

Keeping up the assault, Starkiss sees Calypso swimming a bit further and starts to collect orbs around her head. The orbs have a black colour, and as soon as the Luvdisc opens her eyes, the black orbs form a line and hit Calypso straight on. Or not. Apparently, Calypso made copies of herself while Starkiss was powering up her Hidden Power attack. Three feebas are now slowly swimming in the pond.

    (-7EN Starkiss / -4EN Calypso)

Starkiss is pissed and rushes forwards, not caring about her own safety and just wanting to hit something. She dashes through a feebas clone as the real Calypso appears behind her and starts flailing, not with much success.

    (-10EN -2HP Starkiss / -5EN Calypso)

The spectating Krabby gets agitated and swims up to Starkiss, and whacks it with Crabhammer, while Calypso couldn’t help but laugh. Hard.

Relax ~ Secret Power ~ Ice beam

    *Round Three Begins*

As Calypso sits on her ass for a while, just relaxing, Starkiss sings a beautiful ballad, say, a chant. A shimmering light overcomes her, protecting her from critical hits and protecting the weaker areas on her body.

    (-4EN Starkiss / +5EN Calypso)

Both pokemon turn to each other and release the same white-coloured energybeam, that made contact with both targets. They both frowned, but Calypso seems to be poisoned. Starkiss praises her Safeguard.

    (-7EN -6HP Starkiss / -7EN -6HP Calypso)

Starkiss then rushes over to Calypso, her eyes turning red, and shooting a white beam out of her mouth. Meanwhile, Calypso shoots off a beam herself, this one being ice-typed. The beams hit eachother head on, and both pokemon get blown back by the force of their attacks.

    (-7EN -4HP Starkiss / -9EN -6HP Calypso)

    *Results*

You're OK, Star. Just try and Relax through that Hidden Power, then fire off an Ice Beam to blow the fuck outta that Dragon attack. Finish with a Take Down after that Flail hits.

A lovely pond in the middle of a grassy field.

Hidden Power ~ Dragonbreath ~ Flail

    *Round Four Begins*

This time, it’s Starkiss’ time to relax as Calypso summons the same strange orbs that Starkiss did last round. They float around her head, colored a dark-purple, before being released and hitting Starkiss a point blank range.

    (+5EN -7HP Starkiss / -6EN Calypso)

Calypso upholds her assault with a green coloured line of flames. As soon as Dragon-typed attack comes in for a close, Starkiss counters with Icebeam. The frigid counter-attack rushes through the flames and hits Calypso, who wasn’t prepared. Although the damage isn’t severe, her left fin was frozen. Luckily for Calypso, Starkiss got a taste of the dragon’s fire as well.

    (-8EN -5HP Starkiss / -6EN -5HP Calypso)

Feeling infuriated, Calypso goes in for a total tantrum attack and shoots off. She collides with Starkiss and starts beating her up, with much more success than last time. As Calypso finally released Starkiss and came to her senses, Starkiss counter with a Take down that made Calypso back off, but also freed her frozen fin.

Replenish the Safeguard, then use another Hidden Power, and finish by using your own Flail.

Relax during Safeguard and let's gain some energy back. Then use Facade and let's get some big damage from that. Flail as well just for the lulz.

Calypso takes another breather as Starkiss replenishes her almost faded safeguard into a new shiny protective barrier. Starkiss smiles with pleasure as Calypso almost dozed off.

    (-4EN Starkiss / +5EN Calypso)

Starkiss familiar black orbs surround herself again. She collects them in line before they turn a flashing white (just for a second) and rush off towards Calypso who gets thrown back hard by the assault. Not wanting to let Starkiss have all the honor, she rushes in herself, recollecting all her pain the poison did to her and combining that with a Façade. Starkiss literally flies off after the impact and gets thrown outside the pond for a second, before flailing back into the water.

    (-6EN -11HP Starkiss / -7EN -7HP Calypso)

Speaking off flailing, both opponents rush to each other and start flailing, or even trashing, about. They hit each other with tails, fins, teeth and even head. Sorry for the weird mental picture. After a good two minutes, they stop, both temporarily exhausted.

    (-7EN -11HP Starkiss / -7EN -11HP Calypso)

Good ol' Flail. Okay Calypso, let's throw off another Facade since it seems to be working. Put up a Light Screen and then finish off with Flail again. This is going to be fun.

    Team Red:

Facade ~ Light Screen ~ Flail

    *Round Six Begins*

Feeling the toxic burn in her now purple veins, Calypso gathers her pain and smacks into Starkiss, blowing her backwards. Starkiss, fed up with this fishface, collects her powers again and rushes forwards, flailing, hitting, biting, kicking (?), etc. Calypso grunts hard as Starkiss stops her assault.

    (-8EN -11HP Starkiss / -7EN -11HP Calypso)

Starkiss catches her breath after that attack, as Calypso puts up a Lightscreen, to protect her from special attacks.

    (+5EN Starkiss / -4EN Calypso)

Now, Flail has become the signature of this match and to upkeep that name, Calyspo rushes in for another – yes you can guess – Flail attack. As soon as Calypso comes in firing range, Starkiss unleashes a Blizzard attack. This one is manipulated in a, somewhat less powerfull, ‘beam-form’ because of the water preventing any real weather effects below surface. After getting hit by a sheer elemental force, Calypso manages to hit Starkiss with a few random hits, but nothing special.

    (-10EN -4HP Starkiss / -7EN -6HP Calypso)

Meanwhile that naughty little Krabby came up and wacked Starkiss again. It must be some sort of personal vendetta. (-4HP)

Double Team until it works, then use Ice Beam, and finish with Flail. If Double Team is foiled, do it again. Your health's too low to risk more than one Flail.

Move: Double Team, Ice Beam, Flail
Sub: Double Team (if the previous Double Team is ineffective/foiled)
