INVERSE Battle! Blade VS. Charlie! (Ref: Guess.)

I have THREE open slots in ASB. How the Hell did that happen?

Well, anyway, following my utterly chaotic battle with Darkly, I decided to try a unique new battle that is simple to understand: I call it an inverse battle.

What that means is that rather than try to get the opponent down to zero, the object here is to get to 1,000.

Yes. One thousand. Here's how the battle works:

Both sides send out a Pokemon, as per usual. But neither Pokemon has HP or EN. The Trainers themselves are the ones with the numbers. Each Trainer starts with 0 Battle Points (BP), and the object is to build your BP up to 1,000 by damaging the enemy as much as possible. Each time an attack hits, the Trainer who attacked gains BP equal to the amount of damage the enemy normally would take.

EXAMPLE: I have 0 BP. My Blaziken uses Blaze Kick on the opposing Cradily. Normally the Cradily would lose 9HP, so my BP rises to 9 (These are simply the numbers I would use when reffing - obviously different Refs interpret moves and their strengths in different ways.).

However, EN comes into play too. Everytime a Pokemon takes HP damage, its Trainer gains that number of BP. But everytime a Pokemon takes EN damage, the OPPONENT gains that number of BP.

EXAMPLE: I have 0 BP. My Blaziken uses Blaze Kick on the opposing Cradily. Normally the Cradily would lose 9HP, so my BP rises to 9. Blaze Kick uses 7 EN, so the opponent's BP rises to 7. (These are simply the numbers I would use when reffing - obviously different Refs interpret moves and their strengths in different ways.).

Once a Trainer's BP rises to (1,000/n when n = the number of Pokemon either Trainer is using), the Trainer in question has the option of either switching to a different Pokemon or forcing the opponent to switch Pokemon (You can't choose their exact Pokemon, however.).

EXAMPLE: The battle is a 4-on-4 battle. 1000/4 = 250
My BP rises from 247 to 256 after a successful Blaze Kick; I can now switch from my Blaziken to my Ditto. Conversely, I can force the opponent to recall his Cradily. He then sends out his Starmie. However, I am not allowed to do both.

If both Trainers hit the watermark at the same time, the one who reached it via damaging the opponent chooses first. Whoever reaches 1,000 BP first is the winner.

Now its sticky. 15 on 15 is a bit large for this type of battle (working out the numbers, using 3 attacks per round would leave us with maybe 3 rounds? per Pokemon. Optimally, I'd like to keep it around 5 rounds a Pokemon-just so it doesn't seem that this battle is cruising along super fast and all.

Since you gain BP from chipping opponent HP away and when they use an attack, that number can grow very fast. But yeah, you tell me the numbers you want to use Blade, and we'll get this started.

Here we are in a totally new and unexpected lace. as I traverse these hallowed halls, I can't help but imagine...how the hell Charles knew about this place? Anyway, I finally spot our two combatants whom are all ready to go-outfitted with new hardware to see how this battle works out for them.

Grimlock gives out a cry and the cry starts to grow louder and stronger. soon turning into a wail. The skies above seem to heed the call, as twinkling sights are spotted. Doopliss covers its ears and instantly, Transforms into a spitting clone of Grimlock.

Quite possibly the WORST time to do so. The Meteor Shower rails down upon the small wannabe dragon, giving it a painful reminder of what weaknesses are.

Doopliss stares in amazement. That lil bastard really put a hurting on it. But that's fine, as the lil guy stands there, absolutely worn down. A splashing of Toxic, and Grimlock is now poisioned.

Feeling energized enough to commit to such an attack again, Grimlock does so. As the Twinkling is apparent, Doopliss ruins over and Slashes at the true Gible, knocking him backwards and on his belly. Lucky Grimlock-as the Meteor Shower rains down on Doopliss once more. Less meteors though.

Darky I know this place do to the fact that it was going to be the arena that I would have summited to you for as part of the requirement to become a Gym Leader, At the I could not think up a badge I would give out had I used this Arena, now that I think about it I could have had the badge look like the Unown, seeing as I made a set of Pokemon Scrabble pieces that I could have easily used as the badges.

The two dragons seem intent on tearing each other to shreds in front of the hallowed halls of the gods. So be it. Grimlock sighs, still feeling a bit shaky from that massive slew of attacks he unleashed earlier, only to be rammed into a pillar! He barely climbed out of his own crater, to see the fake Grimlock just glaring at him. Sick Rush there.

Smirking, Doopliss laughs at the tired Gible, commenting on how much of a runt Grimlock was. Grimlock didn't take too kind to that and pumped out a very insubstantial Dragonbreath. It stung, but nothing like it should have. Grimlock was confused, just what happeend there?

Continuing on. Grimlock is still confused and wanders around a bit, wondering where his opponent is. Doopliss is well, right in plain sight and ponders how this fool cant see him. Wasting no more time the stout clone Crunches down on Grimlocks back, snapping the beastie outta confusion. Grimlock turns and spits in Doopliss face with all sorts of foul stuffs.

Hacking and trying to remove the gunk from his eyes, Grimlock was a sitting duck for the Pulse of energy that knocked him on his backside. It burned like a momma's whipping. Standing up, he chased after Doopliss and clawed down the length of his back, leaving visible scars.

Seeing as he hit the benchmark first, Charles opts to swap out and go with Spicy Girl to continue the match. Doopliss tries for an early advantage, swathing the planipod with fire. It hurts, but she still manages to envoke herslef in a veil of protective magic.

Blade follows suit, swapping out Doopliss for Rawk Hawk, that famed Blaziken of his. Instantly, the fighter lights his writs, and tries to poison the sauropod, only to be denied by the Safeguard. Sucks, cause Spicy stamps the ground hard, causing an Earthquake to shatter Rawk's footing.

Rawk stands, a bit discombobulated but nonetheless ok. Spicy tries to get the jump on the fighter by launching rocks at him, but Rawk crouches and flings himself skyward just in time top avoid the hit.

Rawk Hawk plugs his fingers in his ears and runs toward Spicy, who begins to belt out a good ol fashioned whistin' Dixie! Unphazed..well not true, he heard a bit of it, but not enough to fully pin him to the ground, a series of Flames scorched Spicy's hide.

Pleased that Spicy was reveling in such pain, Rawk tried for a sensational blast of power. Spicy erectyed a shield, and was watching it fizzle down around her when that blast of heat sizzled through, blowing her backwards hard. Rawk fel to one knee, bracing it with his hand. That ....was a tiring move.

A dual switch occurs, revealing Grimlock again as well as Blaarg, a Magmar. Blaarg runs toward the stout Dragon, only to have his life be shaken upside down within this Temple. In such, he falls forward, and misses Chopping the lil squirt by centimeters.

Standing up proved difficult when the Earthquake continued. But Blaarg, being so close to the annoying lil dragon, was able to scream is malcontent, forcing Grimlock to stop and look at him. Why'd he make a big all wussy noise like that?

Seeing no reason to stop his little tantrum, Grimlock jumped again, slamming his weight into the ground. The Earth heaved once more and a pillar fell as the Temple tried to absorb the shock as best it could. Blaarg, sick of the shaking, let fate try. Some spheres flew and struck the lil guy bacwards, keeping him on the ground. They seemd to sting a bit, as Grimlock hissed at them before slashing them away.

Ah! They're red and blue. Dragon HP. Lucky him.

Blaarg, use Psychic to catch that Earth Power blast, spin it around you, and use the momentum to smash it back into Grimlock. Then use Hidden Power again. Finally, grab that twerp and Fling him up at the Meteor so it smashes HIM instead of you.

Arena: The Tower of the Gods

Trainers who enter this Ancient Tower of the Gods, enter Time itself. Hundreds of hourglasses line the corridors of the this holy place, when the trainer reaches the top they well notice Statues of all of the known Legendary Pokemon including all the unown. The battle in a coliseum themed arena on the top floor, there is no Roof so flying types can take full advantage of the air, the battle arena also has a pool for water Types, and the whole arena is suspended over boiling Lava.

Grimlock looks ready to deal some severe damage. He roars and beats his hands agaisnt the ancient marble ground, forcing it to rise in a collective blast. Using all of its telekinetic ability, Blaarg is able to not stop the blast but to deflect and redirect its course so Grimlock is the recipient! Blaarg looks a bit tired after doing that though..

A lil miffed his attack went back to him, Grimlock decides a better course of action, bringing the house down. An Earthquake once agians graces the Temple as the foundation splinters from the movement. Blaarg hates the feeling and as a desperate attack, flings his orbs out to slam into Grimlock. The dragon is not please...they burn..

Feeling no remorse, for the builders of this Temple, Grimlock decides to blow open the roof. But Blaarg has other plans. As Grimlock points to the skies, Bllarg scoops him up wth his tail and Flings him so hard he breaks the roof. However, the Meteor coming down is moving alot faster, and so Gible gets hit and bounces off the Meteor. Blaarg screams as the massive rock slams into him and causes a mini explosion.

Temple still stands though, just with no roof.
