Default Charles Legend Vs Grayfox (Ref: Rossy)

    10 on 10

    No Ghost Types please.

    DQ: None

    I send, you attack

    Arena: Battle Hall

This facility is located in the northwestern corner of the Battle Frontier. The stadium is a huge catwalk, in where people walk down the catwalk to the battleground, while fans take a number of photos and the spotlights shine all over the place. There is also a red carpet on the floor, all the way from the entrance to the stadium.

Anyways go Claire my shinny Female Teddiursa!

Alright, Cav, let's start off with Swords Dance. Then use Double Kick and Seismic Toss!

Ok Claire use Yawn then fire Punch Twice.

Actually Grayfox if you want we could make it a 10 on 10 if you wanted to. and just battle them one at a time.

I'm up for that, if a 4 VS 4 got me to 25+ rounds, a 10 VS 10 ought to be long...very long! I'll edit with the round.

I'm still up for it...so long as you change my name to Rossymore. I'm not Roseymore. :/

    Round 1

The crowd cheered as I stepped up onto the raised platform. The long catwalk stretched either side of me and I waved to my fanbase. Just then, a bigger cheer came as two people walked in from both sides of the catwalk. I frowned, spotlight stealers. They reached their respected places and I addressed them with the microphone. My voice rang out and echoed in the long hall.
"Hello Sinnoh Battle Frontier! Today we have a treat for you all, this will be a 10 VS 10 Pokemon Battle between Charles and Grey! Need I remind you that no ghost types will be used this battle...because they suck anyway. If you would send out your Pokemon"
Both trainers threw a red and white ball into the air. They both opened and the white light formed the shapes of Treecko for Grey and Teddiursa for Charles. The crowd awed themselves mostly on Teddiursa for it was a shiny one. I only brought one hand up this time due to the other one holding up the microphone. I brought it back down, slicing the air and amid all the cheering, you could hear me utter one word.
    "Begin!"

    Arena
Cheering fans surround this long arena. Not all of it is used for battle though. You must be careful not to hit any of the spectators.

We begin with Claire using a quick slash that smacks Cavalier. Cavalier moans and mumbles something. He stands up and creates a ball of green energy. He fires it at Claire and he is thrown back a tad.

    [Claire: -6% health, -7% energy]

    [Cavalier: -14% health, -8% energy]
    *Asleep, Attack +1, Burned (-3%)*

Claire gets up and fires a ball of gacky poison which looks strangely like Toxic. It hits and the ball begins to fizz. Cavalier opens his eyes and cries out in pain as the poison enters his system. He snarls and punches the adoarable teddy bear whilst at the same time getting health from her...a lot of health.

    [Claire: -19% health, -7% energy]

    [Cavalier: -5% health, -8% energy]
    *Attack +1, Burned (-3%), Poisoned (-3%)*

Both Pokemon leapt at each other and punched one another on opposite sides. Cavalier could feeling health coming back yet feeling slightly chilly. They both finished and breathed heavily. Burn and sting!

Prolly shoulda ordered this during the first round, but there's nothing we can do about it now, aye. Cav, let's use Safeguard to keep you from sleeping, then use Facade followed by Drain Punch. However, if she uses Protect or Counter during your attacks, just relax instead.

*Attack +1, Burned (-3% health next round), Poisoned (-3% health next round)*
    Safeguard ~ Facade ~ Drain Punch/Relax

We begin with Cavalier summoning up a shield that will protcet him in the future. Claire begins to rave and rant and trying to insult Cavalier...yeah...cos that so works!

    [Claire: -0% health, -5% energy]

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -7% energy]
*Attack +1, Burned (-3%), Poisoned (-3%), Team Safeguarded*

Cavalier smiles and rushes at Claire with a rage of fury. He slammed into her and felt stronger with all the status effects he had. Claire was knocked onto the ground and growled. She yawns. Obviously this fight does not interest her. Cavalier doesn't care.

    [Claire: -15% health, -5% energy]

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -12% energy]
*Attack +1, Burned (-3%), Poisoned (-3%), Team Safeguarded*

Cavalier approaches Claire again then punches her with a light grey fist. He regains a bit of health...then loses it when Claire pushed with her hands. There was a mini explosion and Cavalier went flying. He landed with a thud. Claire giggled with delight. Cavalier cried out slightly as the poison and burn struck back.

    [Claire: -14% health, -21% energy]

    [Cavalier: -27% health, -8% energy]
*Attack +1, Burned (-3%), Poisoned (-3%), Team Safeguarded*

    Side Notes

    1) Cavalier cannot know if his opponent will do a strike back move. You cannot avoid those...according to me.

    2) Charles and Claire to issue attacks

    Yeah boy!

    Round 4

    Arena
Cheering fans surround this long arena. Not all of it is used for battle though. You must be careful not to hit any of the spectators.

    Team of Charles (OOOOOOOOOO)
    [Claire][F]
    31% HP

Gunk Shot ~ Gunk Shot ~ Gunk Shot

    Team of Gray (OOOOOOOOOO)
    [Cavalier][M]
    15% HP
    41% EN
*Attack +1, Burned (-3% health next round), Poisoned (-3% health next round), Team Safeguarded (2 more rounds)*
Substitute ~ Endeavor ~ Drain Punch

We begin with the poor, tired Cavalier using much of his health to create a Substitute. He creates a small one but a fired Gunk Shot rips it apart in seconds. Yipes!

    [Claire: -0% health, -6% energy]

    [Cavalier: -10% health, -8% energy]
*Attack +1, Burned (-3%), Poisoned (-3%), Team Safeguarded, Substitute: 0%*

Cavalier looks at his shattered Substitute and frowns. He faces Claire who was making another Gunk Shot. He rushes at her and flails madly. He hits into her and because he was in a bad situation. He hit into her and sent her flying. She hits the ground and smacks her head on the floor. She gets up slightly dazed then falls back down. Cavalier smiles then falls onto the ground, all tired out.

The ref teleports down and states the obvious.
"Cavalier...and Claire are unable to battle. The match is a draw! Grey and Charles, please send out your next Pokemon"
They both nod, return their Pokemon and grabs another Pokeball.

    [Claire: -40% health, -2% energy]

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -40% energy]
    *Team Safeguarded*

    Team of Charles (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Claire][F]

    *N/A*

    Team of Gray (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Cavalier][M]
    5% HP
    0% EN
    *Team Safeguarded (1 more round)*

    Side Notes

    1) That's how I ref Endeavor. If the Pokemon is under 15% HP, a maximum of 30% energy can be used to inflict 30% damage. Any higher, and it would have been less. Status Effects boost the power of 5% either way.

    2) Grey to send out Pokemon

    3) Charles to send out Pokemon

    4) Grey to issue attacks

Okay, Pyll -- start off with Smokescreen, then Curse. Finally, use Thunderpunch!

    Round 5

The two trainers throw the Pokeball in the air. The lights opened and the forms turned into a Red Gyarados for Charles and a Magmar for Grey. The ref nodded at them both and brought his arms up, he brought them back down, slicing the air.
    "Begin!"

    Team of Charles (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Rage][M]
    100% HP
    100% EN
    *N/A*
Twister ~ Dragon Dance ~ Aqua Tail

    Team of Gray (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Pyll][M]
    100% HP
    100% EN
    *Team Safeguarded (1 more round)*
    Smokescreen ~ Curse ~ Thunderpunch

We begin with Pyll coughing out a large amount of smoke. Aah! Team Rocket has attacked! Rage seems not to be bothered and spins his tail to create a big cyclone of air. The Twister blew away the smoke but missed Pyll.

    [Rage: -0% health, -5% energy]
    *Acc -1*

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -6% energy]
    *Team Safeguarded*

With the smoke gone, Magmar pumped up his body and increased a few stats. He felt a tad bit sluggish though. Rage was moving from side to side. His whiskers doing the machirena. Both now felt stronger.

    [Rage: -0% health, -5% energy]
    *Acc -1, Atk +1, Spd +1*

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -6% energy]
*Team Safeguarded, Atk +1, Def +1, Spd -1*

Now the attacks begin. Rage wet her tail and did a swish and flick. Wingardiu- *is shot*. It smacked into Magmar and the crowd gasps. Magmar hit the ground with a thud. He gets up and collects the electrical energy in the surrounding area. He punches Rage who screeches in pain. Gyara felt his muscles to seize up. Magmar watched as the Safeguard dissapated.

    [Rage: -26% health, -6% energy]
    *Acc -1, Atk +1, Spd -1, Paralysed*

    [Cavalier: -18% health, -5% energy]
    *Atk +1, Def +1, Spd -1*

    Team of Charles (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Rage][M]

Pyll, this is an easy one! Teleport to get on top of Rage, then pelt him with a double-dose of Thunder Punch! However, if you somehow hit the ground before an earthquake comes, be sure to Counter it!

    Round 6

    Arena
Cheering fans surround this long arena. Not all of it is used for battle though. You must be careful not to hit any of the spectators.

    Team of Charles (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Rage][M]
    74% HP
    84% EN
*Paralysed (2 more rounds), Accuracy -1, Attack +1, Speed -1*
Earthquake ~ Earthquake ~ Originality Remover

    Team of Gray (OOOOOOOOOX)
    [Pyll][M]
    82% HP
    83% EN
    *Attack +1, Defense +1, Speed -1*
    Teleport/Counter ~ Thunderpunch/Counter ~ Thunderpunch/Counter

We begin with Pyll using his magical powers and popping up onto Rage. Rage did a wtf? moment and tried to get Pyll off him. The hunk of fire held on and Rage was getting more annoyed by the minute.

    [Rage: -0% health, -2% energy]
    *Acc -1, Atk +1, Spd -1, Paralysed*

    [Cavalier: -0% health, -8% energy]
    *Atk +1, Def +1, Spd -1*

Pyll grinned from his position and collected electrical energy from the air. Rage heard it and thrashed even more until his muscles seized up. Rage couldn't move and Pyll thought that wasn't so bad. He aimed his fist. Rage, in his...rage...had a brainwave. In order to get Pyll off him...he just simply fell on top of him. The crowd gasped as Pyll was crushed by Rage's huge weight. Rage had even tried to do it at speed as a sort of crush Earthquake slam. Rage lfted himself off Pyll who's fist lost all electrical power.

    [Rage: -0% health, -4% energy]
    *Acc -1, Atk +1, Spd -1, Paralysed*

    [Pyll: -20% health, -5% energy]
    *Atk +1, Def +1, Spd -1*

Pyll got up and shook his head to remove all of those stars flying around his head. He powered up another fist and then fell over when the ground shook violently. The crowd gave out a cry as the ground beneath them also shook. Pyll got his footing and punched the great sea serpent...who can somehow survive without water.

    [Rage: -26% health, -8% energy]
    *Acc -1, Atk +1, Spd -1, Paralysed*

    [Pyll: -18% health, -5% energy]

Wait... how was Rage able to damage Pyll with that fall? If Pyll was on top of Rage, then he should not've all-of-a-sudden been underneath him when the fall came. The only way I can see this happening the way you described was if Rage somehow fell backwards, which requires force to do, and since Rage was fully paralyzed that turn, then there's no way for him to be even able to do that.

Notwithstanding, if you're going to say that Rage would act on his own and fall, then why can't Pyll act on his own and simply jump off?

Yah, Pyll was on the behind bit of Rage so Pyll didn't have much choice as to where to go. If you think about it, if Pyll had jumped off then he would still be behind the falling Gyarados. When you can't move, you can still fall over by disrupting your centre of gravity. Rage tried to put some speed into it but was restricted by paralysis. You still fall faster the longer the fall though so there was some speed involved.

That still doesn't explain why Pyll took so much damage in the first place. You just said that he was behind Rage when he was falling, so how does he all-of-a-sudden become below him?

Pyll was clinging onto Rage just on the back. Rage fell backwards and Pyll got crushed. Gyarados are quite heavy and Rage tried to do some sort of Earthquake thing which is super efeective. Thus causing the damage.

I understand falling -- falling forward or backward is something any bi-pedal thing can do. But a gyarados, something that is constantly horizontal, cannot possibly fall backward unless he puts some force behind it.

    o.O:eeks in::

    ::Reads second action.::

Both sides point out valid points.

Now I understand that you can slam an opponent had have the Earthquake start through them, so to speak, for high damage, which is most likely what the scenario is here.

    Yeah
    A) Pyll coulda jumped off to avoid being squished, or
    B) Pyll could have been squished 'cause he was taken off guard by the leaning/falling Rage

However, the only question I have is if Rage was paralyzed-how is he able to utilize Earthquake in his falling backwards?
