A fresh start: VP vs. classy_cat18 (ref: DarkestLight)

So to start my return to ASB the right way, I'm issuing a challenge to anyone who would take it. Here are the conditions.

Simple 1 v 1

Arena: Basic outdoor grassy field. Nothing special, no trees in the way, no large bumps in the terrain, etc.

I would've challenged someone specific, but I don't know who's available right now.

*I asked Classy over IM if these were okay and she agreed.

Okay, I shall send out my female Ralts (no nickname).

Well, I'm still rusty, but let's do the best we can. Ralts, I want you to start with a protective Light Screen barrier to try and ward off any special moves the foe might make. Then I want you to try and boost your stats with Calm Mind. Finish off with a huge Psychic attack!

Ahh a nice open field. Perfect place to have a picnic with classy n_n

BUT NOOOOO. She ditches me, and decides to go and have a battle with VP, who comes from the distant realms to try and reassert himself .

And then she demands I ref like the good whipped lil boy I am and I oblige. Why do I oblige? Anyway! We have a Ralts vs a Mareep here! The Ralts feels a lil intimidated, and why should't it? There's a overweight Mareepover there trying to say its the wool that makes her fat. Wel, Ralts waves its hands around and creates a buffer of air that seems to increase in density. Doesn't stop Eron from plowing through and Body Slamming the small lil girl.

As she picks herself up, Ralts is given a reprieve, as Eron creates a Light Screen of her own. Ralts then calms down, forgetting about the pain..for now..

Anyway!! Using a little more time, Ralts again calms herself, despite chunkywool over there. Eron is Charging -as one can tell by the static crackling her wool.

Feeling a bit more confident, the little Psychic forces leaves to come to being from her psychic prowess, and slash at the wooly beast. Eron takes a step or two back, even with that shield up-that stings. The Shockwave volleys forth with a bit more power, and is dampened, but still strikes. Ralts though looks pleased.

Eron shakes off the hit and plays another card of advantage. By vibrating, loose spores fly off of its coat, and float in the air toward Ralts. Seeing them as non threatening, Ralts gazes slightly to the left of Eron. Perhaps looking into her future. Only she knows...even as the Cotton covers her.

===Round 3===

Ralts, having seen the Future, takes no time in waiting for it. She tries a smaller blast of Confusion at what she thinks to be Eron. Its not far off, but Eron helps her out by Screeching like a maniac. It gives her the chills.

With that Screech giving her goosebumps, it forces Ralts to see the field evenly. Still a bit of squiggles here and there, she could make out the wooly beast. A Psychic blast rapidly fires Eron's way, and Eron is a bit slow in retaliations. She gets hit. Hard. The Screen buffers, but Eron Knows this isin't anything to scoff at. She fires off a Discharge, which again-is buffered!

Eron knows she has to close this out. Conjuring up stars of a yellow hue, they fly forth, smashing through the weakening Screen and take Ralts down. It's a strange victory for Eron, only because a swath of Mud is kicked up as Ralts falls, and nails her hide.

Ralts steps back from all the hard battling, in order to focus and create a veil around her, As the veil falls, so does the rain, thanks to the very hyper sheep. Just like that though, Eron's Safegaurd fells.

Ralts watched as the rain came pouring down. Put this battle in a more epic setting. But she giggled when a wave of electricity tried for her belly. As that faded into nothing, she closed her right hand and a small amount of Psychic energy collided into the sheep, knocking her off balance.

Eron backs up a bit, as Ralts moves forward. Its a ploy though, even as mud is slapped in his face. Crackling from above and then suddenly, Ralts feels like a Christmas Tree.

Ralts doesn't appreciate the rain right now. So, she does a curtsy and begins twirling about, and is knocked flat on her face by the twin diode that strikes from the left. She gets up again, as Eron laughes. Again she dances, and this time, the Sun does come out. Eron ...doesn't like that.

Well, with the sun out and it starting to warm up, Eron shakes the excess water off her hide and relaxes. Ralts however...is having a problem. She can't seee...anything in Eron's future...

Eron looks up at the blistering sun, and then a massive bolt of energy rained down from the belevolent light giver! The hell!

Ralts clapped, there it was!! Eron didn't seem to care, as that Shock Wave threw Ralts back into reality. She stood up and begrudingly threw a slew of Leaves at her opponent.

As the rain keeps falling down, Ralts creates a field around her to try an keep the wetness to a minimum. Its a great idea though. Eron doesn't notice the Screen's creation, and sends a electrified volley of Stars to strike the lil Psychic. The hit is deafened greatly, even though it makes contact.

Eron continues its assault, and feels a bunch of static cling all over its body. With a brutal series of shakes, that ambient electricity is Discharged, all about. Ralts gets caught in its wave as she runs up. The screen buffers her, and she throws a Punch that's heated a bunch by the sun at Eron.

This'll prolly be the last round of rain. However, that rain costs Ralts her clones. as she splits into 4..only to have the rain fall through the clones, rendering them useless to her cause. Eron finds this to be a small plus in her general luck, and flings a Shock wave to further reinforce the fact that you can't hide Ralts!

Miffed about that, but glad her barrier still holds, Ralts decides to use a mental surge to disrupt Eron. It works, with enough added power to rival a base level Psychic! Eron rolls over in slight agony, but no, this is not over. She baaas, but at such an annoying frequency that she totally weakens any sort of musculature fortitude Ralts may have had.

Eron sees Ralts raisig nher hands and she flies toward her. With out regard for her well being she crashes through a Mystic set of leaves that flew by and left her hurting, and rammed herself into Ralts, who flew backwards and down hard.

With the wind blown from her sails, Ralts realizes this battle is getting too close to home. A shield of translucent energy was erected. As it rose up, Eron ran through the dampened field and hammered a strong hit onto Ralts, whom flew back again. The added electricity left a sparkling impression on Ralts as well.

With that reflect up, that hit was softened enough for Ralts to quickly retaliate with a heavy handed Mud-Slap to the face of that Mareep. Eron growled in disdain, and fired offa Signal Beam that was able to strike Ralts down, even as she fretted about.

Eron took a moment, to breathe and try and get the mud out of her eyes. Enough time for Ralts to fire off a set of stars to barb into that wooly coat. Eron sighed...this wsan't going her way at all..

Ralts took a step closer to the sheep and fling a brazen swath of Mud right in his face. Eron squeaked back and fired off a weak Thunderbolt that hit home, but Ralts didn't yell about it. Thast confused Eron slightly...he wasn't sure if he got it!
