Default MLG vs. Heald. [Help's here. :o ]

    You're up for it?

I'm thinking something along the lines of a three versus three. One out at a time.

I ban Toxic, that is all. Standard DQ.

    The arena is the desert.

That's fine, as long as you're active

Okay Chase, lets get this party started! Lets use the desert to our advantage and use Sand Attack to blind her! Next, use Calm Mind to boost your skills and finally hit home with a Psychic attack!

Yeah, thanks for reffing Unbraced, but please let us know if you don't feel like reffing it anymore since I really want an active ref. My other matches, save from DL's, are unactive and it's pissing me off.

What? I'm not putting pressure on you. *diabolical grin*

Ok, Nanao-chan, use Substitute and protect yourself from that Sand-attack. Then use Dynamicpunch to mess with her mind while she's a sitting duck. Finish with a Poisonjab on her soft belly, try to aim right.

(okay guys. I'll be as active as much as I possibly can. I won't be able to work on it in school, but I should be able to update once every day.)

    MeLoVeGhOsTs Vs. Heald!

    Round 1 Begin!

PRE-BATTLE: Deep in an unknown desert, two trainers prepare for battle. One's a ghost lover, the other looks a bit like hitler. A ref appears, and the battle begins!

MLG sends out a Meditite, who twinkles upon being released.

Heald sends out an Espeon, who, while wicked cool, is not shiny.

Turn 1: Let's get it started! Chase starts out the match by kicking some sand at Nanao.(-3en) However, Nanao creates a lifeless hush of itself, one is unaffected by the sand.(N-11en-10hp)

Turn 2: Chase, quite steamed over her attack failing, calms herself and clears her mind of earthly concerns(-4en +1SpA,SpD) Nanao then appears and slams her with Dynamicpunch causing her to see stars . (N -7en C-6hp confused)

Turn 3: Dazed, Chase wobbles around. Nanao takes the chance and uses Poison Jab on it's belly.(N-5en C-7hp) However, Chase lashes a Psychic out, hitting... the Substitute. (C-7en, Substitute gone)

    End of round!

    Team MLG:

    HP:90 En:76

    Team Heald:

    HP:87 En:86

    Confused

Turn 2: Nanao uses it's newly powered up SpA to fire of a beam of...bug energy?, destroying chase's sub. (N-5en) Chase then trys to relate, but Suddenly orbs begin to spin around her head. She trys to bat them away, but ends up scratching herself. (-5hp)

Turn 3: Chase, really fed up with the whole confusion thing, shakes her head, and suddenly the ords go away. Just in time to take a ball of pure Shadow (C-15hp,N-9en) Chase then relates by blasting Psychic energy at Nanao.(N-10hp C-7en)

Unbraced, this doesn't really qualify as a good reffing. You should really fleshen out your reffings more, give some more detail, post the status of our pokemon before AND after the round.

You just say 'pokemon x attacks with x, pokemon y retaliates with attack y'. Look at the reffings in the reffing-tower and see how they do it. Or just look at other matches.

I want you to re-ref this in a good and fleshed out reffing. Don't do overdo it, but just make sure that it's decent to read.

    Unbraced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111!!11!eleve nty.

Now, don't get all nervous on me. Yer doing a good job, when it comes to reffing right now. The only qualm is the style element. You've broken up each set of attacks, which is what usually happens, but, as MLG said, there seems to be little substance to the reffing other than X hits Y...Y hits X.

Now, looking over round 2, you did add a bit more when you edited. Don't be afraid to use your imagination for every round hereafter. If you feel a bit confused or edgy still , then yes, definitely look at other matches, and read the flair that's in between the lines.

Some might get wordy...and some don't. If you feel you are that medium that works to garnish enough attention to the match as well as for the battlers to know how well they're faring, then by all means, stand by your reffing .

Basically, ref every round as if you were just a person wanting to read an exciting round of a reffing. Then you'll be fine

Only other thing, ya might wanna put the pre-round stats up before the round so the combatants know where they stood before the round started.

11En for Swift is a tad much methinks. Same for psychic, but since I had to bend an attack that makes perfect sense. Don't know if you thought about that, though.

    Shadowball, Signalbeam, Shadowball.

Turn 2: Chase takes a leaf out of Nanao's book and Hurls it's own ball of shadow (C-9en, N-15hp) Nanao changes tactics, going back to his beam of bug energy. (-5en) However, this doesn't work either, and only half the attack get though.(-6hp)

Turn 3: Both pokemon decide to screw originality, and both fire of a ball of shadow. (both-9en) However, the two attacks are fired at the same time, they hit in mid-air.

Blind her with Flash then use Twister and then Steel Wing.

SUBS: Use Protect against Ice Beams and Twister against Heat Waves.
