"Just north of Goldenrod City, the National Park is a place for people and Pokemon alike. It features a grassy field surrounded by fenced-off trees, and there's a fountain to the side. Benches are scattered about the fences and fountain. An occasional Trainer may pass by to watch the battle and cheer on a random Pokemon at a 30% chance and it'll give the recipient +5 Atk. and Sp. Atk boosts. These bonuses go away after the round is over. Extra damage is sustained by hitting obstacles (-1-3 HP) and there's a 10% chance encounter of a swarm of Beedrill indiscriminately if any Pokemon hits a tree. (-1 turn due to running, -10 HP, -10 EN for both Pokemon) Extra encounters are up the the ref's discretion.~"

Alright Sora, lets start off with giving it a nice spit of Toxic, follow that up with lowering it's accuracy with Mud Slap, finally strike out at it with a Dizzy Punch.

Arena:
The lovely National Park in Johto! It's a large grassy field surrounded by fenced-off trees, with a nice fountain off to one side. There are benches around, and trainers walk their Pokémon freely through this lovely area. The trainers are nice and will sometimes cheer on a Pokémon, but watch out you don't upset their Pokémon...

Kurosakura finds Roy Karrde in the park and challenges him to a sudden battle, sending out her Surskit, Faie. Roy accepts, sending his Buneary, Sora. A couple trainers glance over as they pass, but don't stay to watch.

Both Pokémon start by collecting globs of poison to hurl at the other. Faie collects hers more quickly and launches them, straight onto Sora. She feels the burn, and tries to counter with her own poison. Unfortunately she completely misses and her globs of poison land on the grass a few feet away. Sora starts to feel the burn of the poison in her...

But this was no time to be distracted. Sora quickly crouches down to the ground and collects some dirt. Well, it wasn't quite mud, but it would have to do in this case. She runs over to Faie and slaps the pile towards her. Faie attempts to blow the dirt away with an Icy Wind, but her aim is way off and not only do they miss the mud/dirt, the winds don't even hit Sora. The dirt that collides blinds her a bit, but she can still see fairly well, well enough to see Sora suffering from poison again.

Now Faie starts moving quickly, trying to avoid Sora's punch. Sora charges her ears with glowing energy and watches for Faie to get near. As Faie starts heading towards her, Sora slams down her ear where she anticipated the Surskit to be, only to have it not be there and cause a small dent in the ground instead. Faie chuckles at Sora's miss, and doesn't notice that she's headed for a park bench until she rams into it. Now it's Sora's turn to laugh, until she feels the pain of the poison again.

Alright Sora that was a good first round! We missed with the Toxic but we can do that again, use another Toxic. If she wants to use water, then lets use that! Hit back with a Thunderbolt. And finally in response to her pulse, hit back strong with a Thunder Punch

Faie starts by focusing, concentrating on Sora's mind. Suddenly she opens the door and begins to read his every move of evasion. She stands confident, knowing just how to hit Sora, when she suddenly gets knocked back from a sudden wave of poison that washes over her. Now both Pokémon feel the pain of Toxic sapping them.

Trying to not let it distract her, Faie focuses on Sora's evasion tactics, then builds up a huge stream of water to launch at the place she knows Sora's going to be. Sora sees this and starts to charge her fur with electricity, but the stream of water comes and pushes her back before she can get a sufficient charge. She rolls back from the water, then gets up and runs forward as she charges electricity again, this time getting the bolt off to hit Faie. Faie gets shocked, and some of the electricity lingers in her body, threatening to keep her from moving. The poison strikes both again, and Sora starts feeling it worse.

Sora ignores the poison and keeps charging her body, focusing the electricity into her fist, which she connects with Faie, hurting her more. Faie gets knocked back, then recovers and charges up a ball of blue energy. She squirts some water around it, causing it to be a ball of pulsing water energy. It gets launched, and Sora is unable to avoid it. Sora stands up, but with a bit of a stumble; looks like the pulse of the attack has gotten Sora confused. Both Pokémon again feel the pain of the poison as the round comes to a close.

As the third round starts, both Pokémon go to make the same move. Faie manages to overcome her Paralysis and move faster, striking with a powerful blow that's fueled by her status condition. Sora gets hit, but then fuels her own attack with her status, wailing on Faie a little harder. Both Pokémon get a twinge of poison, though.

Sora then goes to use her electric abilities to her advantage, but her confusion sets in and she thinks Faie is in her face. She takes a wild swing with her electric fist, but it goes wildly through the empty air that Faie isn't in, swinging around to hit Sora herself. Faie chuckles at Sora's misfortune, then attacks with another status-fueled blow. Faie falls back from increased poison damage, while Sora still feels the pain of hers.

Sora gets up and tries again, this time correctly hitting Faie, who gets knocked back, narrowly missing a tree. Fai gets up, but her Paralysis keeps her from moving again. She settles down as the poison continues, and Sora starts feeling the poison sap more health.

Faie starts off by pushing through her paralysis, using her status conditions to fuel her attack. She hits Sora hard, and as Sora lands she snaps out of her lasting confusion. Finally seeing clearly, she charges right back at Faie, using her own poison to fuel the attack. Both feel the pain of the poison in them.

Sora's not waiting around, though; she quickly charges again, nailing Faie in a weak spot that he accidentally found. Faie goes flying and ends up landing on a Corsola, who is none-too-pleased with this turn of events. The Corsola gives Faie a Tackle to send her on her way. Annoyed and in more pain than she wants to be, Faie charges at Sora hard, knocking her into a nearby tree while she was caught off guard. Sora falls to the ground, reeling from the poison at the same time Faie is.

Suddenly, an ominous buzzing noise can be heard. From the clump of trees Sora just flew into, a dark cloud appears as dozens of Beedrill fly out. Someone in the crowd shouts, "IT'S A SWARM OF ANGRY BEEDRILL! RUN!" and the crowds run elsewhere like it's free pancake day at IHOP. Sora and Faie are not so lucky, however, as they're both tired from their battle and can't avoid the Beedrill very easily. Not to mention the running is very tiring.

As the Beedrill fly off, Sora collapses, completely spent. Faie smiles faintly before toddling over to Kurosakura.
