Hey everyone! This is Kurosakura reporting from a random, but pretty, field in the Johto region! Today we're gathered to witness Azure-Blazing-Knight's debut battle against another fairly new ASBer, Kyuuketsuki! Azure-Blazing-Knight sent out his Sableye, Shade, and his strangely-colored Larvitar, Havoc, and Kyuuketsuki sent out his strangely marked Wartortle, Wartortletwo, and Shinx, who seems to be lacking sleep... Anyway, gentlemen, make your moves!

Wartortletwo starts off the battle by dancing his heart out to call down rain, only for Havoc to whip up a Sandstorm instead! Ugh, all these Sandstorms, why?! Shinx lunged at Shade expecting to sink his electrified fangs into something remotely tasty, but only to realize he crashed into the ground instead, since Shade Detected the move.

Wartortletwo: -0 HP, -4 EN | Shinx: -0 HP, -8 EN

Alright... the first turn seemed pretty low-key, let's hope for some more action this time around! Wartortle shoots off a jet of water at Havoc, who in return, sends him a nasty-looking glare as he gets knocked into the ground, scaring Wartortle a bit. Meanwhile, Shinx is a-chargin' his lazors for a souped-up Electric move, but he made himself a sitting duck for Shade's Confuse Ray. Looks like he's seeing stars for a while.

Content with his first hit, Wartortletwo follows up his Water Gun with a slightly more powerful Water Pulse, striking Havoc and hitting him over the head, causing him to become Confused as well! However, he's aware enough of his surroundings to pay back the favor to Wartortle, tackling into him and knocking him down this time. As Shinx gets Confused and shocks himself for no apparent reason, Shade goes to town on his HP with an extremely well-aimed Power Gem.

Anyways, here we pick out a 3-move sequence and work with that. However, you can use substitutions, i.e. "use Protect if Toxic is used", but if you're attacking first, don't edit your moves after your opponent posts, since that's cheating. Since this is a double battle, pick out 3 moves and or substitutions for both Havoc and Shade.

Did I mention that I reeeeeeeally the double battles? Shade starts off by Leering at Shinx, scaring the thing out of Confusion, shaking his head and blinking! Dang, hitting himself isn't fun. Wartortle's feeling pretty mean lately, so he shoots poor, Confused Havoc with a Water Pulse. Ewww. Waaater. The little Larvitar snaps out of his Confusion to make a Scary Face (which really doesn't look too scary...) and slows down Wartortletwo. Shinx, newly Unconfused, lunges at Shade to make him lunch.

Wartortletwo: -0 HP, -8 EN, -2 Spd. | Shinx: -0 HP, -5 EN, -1 Def.. Charge 1

Havoc shakes things up with Earthquake, with Shade protecting himself by Detecting the move. However, Shinx lifted himself into the hair by defying the Earth's magnetic waves with Magnet Rise, kinda floating around. Wartortle was the only one who really took any damage from it. Wartortle readies, aims, and fires an Ice Beam, which Havoc wasn't exactly thrilled about.

Shinx and Shade have a go at each other, using Night Slash and Shadow Claw, neither of them budging an inch. Havoc leaped at Wartortletwo, Thrashing against him, only to take a Blizzard at point-blank range, freezing him solid. Unfortunately, Shade was also in the line of fire, Freezing as well.

With both Shade and Havoc frozen solid, ABK has no choice but to watch as Wartortletwo wails on Havoc with an insanely powerful Hydro Pump and Shinx put up a shiny Light Screen to defend against Special Attacks.

Wartortletwo rushes against the block of ice encasing Havoc and Shinx does a little jig, calling down rain and making the field all muddy, boosting Water-type attacks.

Shinx comes back down to Earth and calls down a scarily accurate Thunder, striking Shade and shattering the ice into what would’ve been glittering fragments if it weren’t for the rain. Shade, annoyed that he was being wailed on by a tiny rodent, breaks the pane of reflective material Shinx held up to protect against his attacks, causing some serious damage. However, Wartortletwo was determined to back up his partner, launching another Hydro Pump at Shade.
