Ok so where am I at today. Hrm no new reffing queues on the bulletin board Realy? Uh slow day for me then...oh no wait. Kuro haz one. I take I take...


..And so yeah that's how I got here
VP: I see. Instead of just answering your phone, you went back and found a postcard for this battle, then came here?
Me: Heh, I'm special. Hey get to your side, here she comes.

Alright! DL here, back into the wonderful wide world of awesome battling. We have a good matchup so far, with Kuro versus VP. Out comes a Numel for Kuro and a Gligar for VP. Let's see a good fight!

Scorpio floats upward and stays aloft for a minute, sharpening the sides of his pincers. Meluca watches the elusive yet repetitive pattern Scorpio flies, before firing off a large series of Rocks. Scorpio is struck and falls to the ground , pinned under quite a few boulders.

Stuck for the moment, Scorpio takes a deep breath and uses his tail to start pushing one of the rocks off of his winglike flap..thing...Meluca slowly ambles over, and prepares a nice, generous surprise for the opponent, when a outstanding Screech is heard from the Rocky chamber. It forces Numel to keel in pain, and Scorpio partially bursts free. Partially 'cause his right side is still stuck.

Well, looking up, Meluca fires off that happy charged fiery surprise, to Scorpio's malcontent. Fiery pain all over.

Even the rock was hot. Hitting the rock a few more times yielded Scorpio freedom, and he made like a bandit after the offending camel. Numel bent down and tried to tuck his stubby feet it. It worked and he assume a curling position on his side...

...right as Scorpio came across him and slashed a deep penetrating poisoning strike on his underbelly. Yeeaow. Yeah, Meluca is poisoned.

Mel's a bit perturbed. She's realized that Scorpio is stronger than he looks, and so she has to put the trappings on him quickly. Once again, the rocks are summoned, and Scorpio is ready with a plan. He shoots underground, spiralling like a drill to make use of his speed. The Rocks fall, but this time they miss.

Seeing no sign of her opponent kinda put Mel on edge. She stayed put..and just watched. Suddenly, the ground seemed to weaken beneath her, and a sharp set of hooks jabbed her foot. She tried to pull away, but the sinkhole opened up and sucked her down, propelling Scoprio out.

It was a small hole, and Meluca scrapped the order she was given, 'cause she didn't know what the hell Stockpile was. But Scorpio had other plans. He flipped in the air and hammered the ground around the small basin Meluca was in-causing an Earthquake. Being in the ground caused the ground to fall around Numel, as well as hurt her quite a bit.

Meluca felt the pain, and winced (3) Her tummy felt sick, as her head and hump poked out of the dirt.

It would completely contradict what has been happening for the entire year with stopping moves from being used. Mel felt kinda bad. She didn't wanna be stuck in this ground no more, and that bastard Scorpio was just being plain mean. So she made a weird mooing sound and conjured up stones from the dirt around her. They shot straight up as Scorpio flew around slowly, weaving in the air. He made an easy target, and was floored instantly.

He didn't mind though, his Dance seemed to have worked for him.

Staying on the ground wasn't an option though, so Scorpio floated a bit. Mel curled up and began to roll in place, dirt being pulled and piled under her until it made enough of a slip that she could gain traction on and zip free of her imprisonment. Scorpio was impressed, even when it hit him square in the chest.

Scorpio turned to see where Mel had landed, but ht Numel was much faster in ball form, and he was surprised when Mel was already in the air for a second pass. Scorpio zipped out of view, and as Mel landed on the ground, Scorpio struck from the left-striking Numel out of her ball form.

Mel blinked as she stretched. Being in a ball was slightly painful. But not as painful as smashing that Scoprio with her feet! She barreled forth and applied the rage in a cage upon the scorpions body. They both fell to the ground, Scorpio able to withstand the Numel's weight....

..before she began to Stomp on his chest. Even with the added defenses, that hurt. Scorpio tried to get her off, but one Stomp hurt particularly hard, and he flinched!

Meluca backed off and began hammering stones about left and right, making then point around all pointy like. Scorpio, peeved about being hindrered from acting, glid right up to Mel and slapped her with a water-induced tailslap. Mel flipped on her back, completely shocked, and cold.

Meluca rolled over to continue the fight, as Scorpio began calling rocks over to Kuro's side of the field. Mel didn't mind the stones so much and even used them as a sort of homing field as she forced them to slam into Scorpio. All in all Scorpio looked really annoyed at this Pokemon and her actics.

Unlike last time, Scoprio vanished from sight before Mel had a chance to Stomp his face in. She looked around anxiously, and just when she thought she could have spotted him, there he swoops from above and smacks her hump. She turns around, but its too late now, he's far up there.

That...and she falls over. exhausted.

Kuro thinks her next choice over, and then releases a small spherical Pokemon. Instantly, rocks come and pummel it.

Not too bad though. The lil Poliwag then looks around quietly and smacks his tail against the ground happily. Scorpio already doesn't like the look of this, and start to dig underground. He's a bit slow about it, but gets under before Poli can run over there and put the hurt on him.

Linus waits, but underground, Scorpio takes a break. Linus just kinda waits as well, mouth wanting to make icicles come out cause it takes like Christmas .

Linus doesn't see him, yet his whole body is shivering with excitement. But with no one to fire at, why would he shoot off a Blizzard? Well, that all changes when Scorpio surges out of the ground, slashing and tail whipping.

Linus flies up and rotates in the air, hurt, but excited. Scorpio knows now his slowed prowess just brought him hurt. The Blizzard Linus fired was a huge conical spray, and Scorpio could only cross his arms and be slammed against the ground in defense.

Least he didn't freeze.

Linus takes a moment to try and build up a Hazy cloud. But Scorpio had other ideas. He flew upwards and called up a energy unseen to this battle before. Linus spouted off a Haze, but Scorpio flew back to his Trainer!

As Linus waited, the new Pokemon formed from a digitized mass, and revealed itself to be a Gallade. Kana looked around, and then down as Linus walked up to him. Linus smiled and then created a Mist around himself. Kana just watched quizzically. Oh and side note, Kana then started cutting at the rocks that flung themselves at him.

Kana takes a moment to stretch and flex its blades. Linus doesn't like being swapped on, and begins to pump out a Hazy fog. The creeping darkness flowed over toward Kana whom jumped backwards twice, before evaporating in thin air as the Haze closed around him. Linus looked around the Haze, wondering where Kana went.

Linus looked around as the Haze began to fade off, wondering where Kana disappeared to. A strange sensation ran though his spine, and he looked up. Coming down with terrific speed-Kana was aimed for Linus, using his spiral body as the center of his drop zone. Linus was quick to swell up a ball of Mud and shoot it at the incoming Kana, but Kana's aim held true and struck Linus down.

Kana wiped the mud away, a little peeved about that. Linus though, was hurting. Now within the Haze, Kana felt a bit weaker.

Linus sniffed a bit as he hopped back up. He turned to look at Kana, but Kana was already on the offensive, striking him hard with a razor sharp green hued blade. Linus flipped backwards three times before slamming into the ground. Kana walked over to where the little Poliwag seemed to have landed, to see if it had any life let.

It sure did, cause he was up and at 'em. Kana doubled over as Linus crashed in his belly as hard as his little body let him.

I don't understand why Haze didn't hit. It's not affected by Protect or anything else (except maybe Baton Pass), so I'm a little confused.

Alright, you may have lost your stat edge, Kana, but you still have quite a few tricks. Start off with a Light Screen to give yourself some shielding, then Thunder Punch and Leaf Blade. If he decides to use a Double Team, replace the attacks (not Light Screen) with a Magical Leaf homed straight on the real Linus (ignoring the clones).
