Arena - the top of Mount Moosilauke in New Hampshire. It's mostly a large field with no trees, but many rocks laid in piles along a path. The ground is very hard, burrowing in it would be slowed slightly. Also, it is very windy on top of the mountain, a flying Pokemon can have a bit of difficulty. If someone uses Raindance, the water will instead turn to hail and damage both players slightly each round. If by any chance the battle moves down and away from the top of the mountain, there are short, bare pine trees and not much else.

I'll ref this one for you two, but I have a question, if using Rain Dance turns it into Hail, shouldn't it have no damaging effect on Ice types? They're normally immune to Hail.

The battle begins atop Mt. Moosilauke in the state of New Hampshire. Lacking in trees,
several rocks make up part of the ground here, which is really hard to dig in. On top of that, strong winds are blowing several feet above the mountain, which could prove hindersome to any Pokemon capable of floating or flying above the ground. The air is also surprisingly cool around here, but nonetheless, the two battlers soon arrive. Shivaree is the first one to arrive. Taking out one of her Pokeballs, she opens it up to reveal a male Tropius. It isn't long before the second battler makes her appearance. Revealing herself as classy_cat18, she takes out one of her Pokeballs, and opens it up to reveal a female Flaaffy named Eron. I take my place in between the battlers, and the battle is started by Eron, who generates a Safeguard to help protect her from any status afflictions. Despite having this translucent veil of energy up, it doesn't protect her from Tropius' Body Slam, who jumps up into the air, slamming his big frame onto Eron's smaller frame, causing quite a bit of damage.

Tropius: -8 Energy

Reeling hard from that Body Slam, Eron slwoly re-adjusts herself, and starts storiing some
electricity in her body, as she begins to build up a Charge for her next few actions. Tropius decides on making a Safeguard much like the one that Eron created earlier in the
round, and it soon begins to protect him also from status afflictions.

Eron is finally ready to go on the attack this time, and she lets off a Charge-boosted Discharge on Tropius, causing him to cry out in pain from the sudden electrical shock. Lucky for him though, his Safeguard prevents him from getting paralyzed, and he soon fires
off a Magical leaf on Eron, as the green glowing leaves all home on the Flaaffy, causing her
to cry out as they all fly into her.

Notes:

-Body Slam's damage is known to be highly variable, generally, the higher the difference
between the two Pokemon's weights, the more damage is caused. But I have a max for the amount of damage it causes, which is 15%. Almost like a damage cap, but for a single move instead of a round.

-With Charge being used, I ref it as giving the user a Special Defense boost that lasts until the move wears off, which in this case will be after Eron's first action in the next round (it lasts for 3 actions, the first of which is where it's used). Similarly, if I was reffing a Pokemon that used Stockpile at least once to boost their Defense and Special Defense with each use, the boosts would wear off if Spit Up or Swallow were used.

-When I ref a Pokemon at 0% energy, they lose 1 point of health for each 2 points of energy they use, so keep that in mind.

The round begins with Tropius going for a Swords Dance. As he slowly spins around concentrating on boosting his attack power, Eron sets up a Reflect shield to help her raise her defense for a while.

Tropius then opens up his mouth, letting out a loud Roar, in hopes he can intimidate Eron a little. But she manages to keep her cool as she makes an equally loud Screech at Tropius, causing him some visible discomfort as the ringing sound makes him feel rattled.

Recovering from that ear-splitting Screech, Tropius spits up a Toxic at Eron, but he groans as it harmlessly slides off the Flaaffy's Safeguard, making him forget for a moment that she had Safeguarded herself earlier. Eron is able to take advantage of Tropius' mistake right there, and she fires off an electric beam filled with several sparks of various sizes at Tropius, making him scream in pain. To Eron's surprise, firing off that Charge Beam made her feel a bit stronger.

The round begins with Eron emitting a bright Flash into Tropius' eyes. As the big and sudden burst of light begins to affect him, Tropius tries to retaliate with a Flash of his own, but unfortunately for him, the bright light has him in a temporary daze.

Eron then begins to crackle with electricity, as she sends out a Shock Wave that rattles through Tropius, causing him to cry in pain. Tropius tries to retaliate with a Headbutt toward what he think he sees as Eron, but unfortunately that Flash from earlier proves to have gotten the better of him right now, as he ends up missing Eron completely as he surprisingly runs past her.

Relieved that she was able to evade that Headbutt, Eron starts powering up a Power Gem, sending the ball of rock energy and tiny gems towards Tropius. Tropius' partial blindness makes it harder for him to see it before it slams into him, causing him to cry out painfully from that strike. Tropius tries for retaliation with a Rock Smash this time, and he manages to strike Eron this time in the belly, causing the Flaaffy to reel back in pain from the surprise hit.

The round begins with Tropius lifting up his front paws. Preparing to slam them down to cause a painful Earthquake, he starts bringing them down, only to see Eron charge up some electromagnetic energy in her body that begins to lift her off the ground, causing Tropius' Earthquake to miss thanks to the Magnet Rise, which brings a look of disappointment to Tropius' face as he tries to make out his airborne opponent.

With his opponent floating around in the air for now, Tropius moves to change tactics. Going for a Giga Drain on Eron, Tropius produces a few health-stealing green bubbles that float over to and latch onto Eron, sapping some of her health away and giving a part of that health back to Tropius. Eron isn't about to let Tropius make the most of this however, and she floats over him brandishing a fist alight in flames, and she uses a Fire Punch on Tropius, causing him to cry in pain.

Tropius: -6 Health (+3 from the Giga Drain, -9 from the Fire Punch), -6 Energy, Attack +2, Safeguarded

As Eron remains floating in the air, Tropius goes for a second Giga Drain on the Flaaffy. Bringing forth a few more of the green bubbles bestowed with health-stealing powers, the bubbles float over to Eron and stick to her again, draining more of her health while giving Tropis some healing. Eron retaliates by going for another Fire Punch on Tropius, causing him to cry out in pain from the fiery punch. But, he feels some comfort in the process, as his vision starts to clear up from that Flash earlier. Mere moments later, the Reflect shield Eron created for herself earlier fades away.

The round begins with Eron producing a protective Light Screen to help boost her Special Defense for a little while. As the Flaaffy concentrates on setting it up, Tropius bounds into the air. Getting above the floating Eron, he uses his sheer size for a Body Slam on Eron, knocking her out of the air as she is slammed right into the ground.

Painfully getting out from under Tropius again, Eron takes the extra moment to raise herself back into the air, and she begins to spark with a light amount of electricity. Just before she fires it off, however, she begins to produce a Swift. Powering it up a little with her Thundershock to make the stars have a small electric charge, they fly into Tropius, causing him to cry in pain. He tries to retaliate with another Toxic, but like before, the glob of poisonous liquid just fizzles on contact with Eron's Safeguard.

Seeing his opponent floating in the air again, Tropius tries to Stomp on her. But seeing as she isn't on the ground like he had hoped, Tropius nonetheless raises his foot, and still manages to hit her with it, although not in the way he would have wanted. Several things begin to fade at that moment, both Safeguards fade away from Tropius and Eron, and Eron makes a light crash back to the ground, her Magnet Rise no longer in effect.

The round begins with Tropius quickly hovering into the air for another Body Slam. As he gets himself into position to land on top of Eron again, the Flaaffy isn't too deterred about it, knowing how much the last one hurt, she begins to Discharge electricity into the air above her, catching Tropius by surprise as he lands in the middle of the electrical burst before still making a landing on Eron, which makes them both cry ouy in pain, Eron from the heavy weight on her again, and Tropius from the power of that Discharge.

As Tropius lifts himself off Eron again, he decides to take a breather for a moment, regaining some energy in the process. Eron, although a little shaken up by that Body Slam, decides to relax as well, as she also regains some energy.

Once again, Tropius continues to relax, regaining some more energy, as does Eron as she also continues to relax right on the spot.
