The strong sunlight was blinding at first, but they both got used to it. The long grass wayed gently in the warm breezes, giving both combatants a grounded confidence. Walking to opposing sides of an arena that was best described as a crop circle, they release their Pokemon.::

Mario: Why sh--::Again Mario was caught off guard. This time it was a flurry of dirt and rock that flew above him, along with the shape of a deep bluish/purplish form with a brightly colored chest. It landed in the middle of the field, and stood up. Another figure jumped off, smirking.

DL: IT IS I!!! HAHAHA !! YAYAYA!!

::Hits play on a hidden tape deck, and the speakers come alive with the sounds of applause. Both battlers look around, confused and amazed really. For him to set this up must have taken WAY too long.::

Well now! Out here in the Savannah, we have Ayeun vs Mario. Doug, a lil Diglett is ready to go against Fantasma there. And well, lets get it on!

Doug quickly creates a hemisphere hat, which quick deflects a glob of Toxic. Fantasma looks on in disappointment, it wasn't supposed to block that!

Introductions over, Doug began scurrying over. He trotted under Fantasma, and then evaporated. Fantasma thought it just went underground, and was quick to split up into 4 ghosts togive her an advantage. That advantage was gone when Doug struck her, creating a ground wave to rise up and strike her with.

Fantasma now had a reason to not like Digletts. But she blew kisses at the little Pokemon, as it mowed dirt around and made a pretty good facsimile of itself. Looking up at Fantasma however...gave him goosepimples. It was love at first fright!

The grass sway, and Doug is pleased. He watches happily as Fantasma is quick to place up an impenetrable shield. Doug doesn't really know how strong that shield is, so he vanishes, and reappears, slamming into it...and getting nowhere. Poo. He wanted to be near his love!

Having Doug off guard was a blessing, as Fantasma quickly took advantage. She spewed a nice healthy heaping of Toxic right on the little mound shaped guy as he rose up on a wave of dirt and slashed her again. With his button nose. Or a snaggletooth, Yes Doug has a snaggletooth that does all slashing functions, lol.

Doug watched as his Sub was corroded. Boo.

Doug surfed back to the ground, and looked up at Fantasma, unhappy about all this gunk on him. It was alot too! But he loved it! Fantasma could create a link-binding them together, and she did with no hesitation. It seemed to zap some life away, but he didn't mind. it was a life they shared.

The Sub crumbled to dust, and Fantasma was left with nothing. Ouch.

Doug wants to give Fantasma a huuge smooch. So much in fact,that he speeds right over, and does so. At that speed however, it felt like a peck from a bird. Fantasma still cringed at how lovey this little nub was, and leeched as much health away as possible.

Still bobbing in and out of love, Doug rushed over to keep as close as he could to Fantasma. The speed which Doug exhibited was a bit uncontrollable, and he sped right into the ghost. Fantasma freaked, and fired a Confuse Ray right into Doug's eyes.

Newly confused and seemingly unsure of his love anymore; Doug turned to Fantasma, and just watched that the Ghost split into 4 clones.

Doug seemed just fed up with this woman and her unearthly charms. So much so that he was willing to beat her away. Fantasma didn't like that idea much, and kinda jumped out of herself, leaving an ethereal Substitute that was struck swiftly. Doug smashed it to bits in a lightning fast sneak attack.

Not having any clones to dissuade the lil guy, Fan is knocked to the ground hard by a wave of dirt, and Doug smirks. But Fantasma takes the hit in stride and stares Doug down. The link was made and the ripping of health was completed, nourishing her for yet another round.
