    Hrm. Let me clear that up then. All moves that the Pokemon can learn (Level, TM/HM, Egg, differed game and Tutor) are allowable in ASB except NYPC moves. Allows for fantastic strategy.

    Um. I'm sorry, but you can't DQ him.

    1. The battle can't start without a referee.
    2. There was no specified DQ time.

    no im pretty sure we had a ref cuz what happened was he sent a pokemon out that was in another battle end a round went on and then i guess he found out you couldnt have the same one out at the same time so we started over i think the ref must have just deleted his post seeing as it was illegitimate cuz the guy had to switch
    and isnt there a default DQ time anyways?

    As long as the Pokemon isn't in a gym match, you can use it in more than one battle. As for the ref leaving, I just came back from a disappearing act, so I wouldn't know if you had a ref or not. Sorry if I sound kinda mean. :x

    There is a default DQ time, but it's not always enforced, and depending on the ref, they may choose to run with the default DQ time or not implement it at all, unless someone requests it.

    To be honest, I see no point in DQing him, and even if he is DQ'd, you won't get any points.

    Don't really know what's going on, but I can take this one if Papabopp and Dabsaww are still in the market for a referee. (To actually ref the match, not hand out a DQ. )

    Team Papabopp versus Team Dabsaww

    Location: Typical arena
    Rules: OHKO moves and Toxic
    Abilities: Active
    DQ Time: Not specified (currently I'll set it at 5 days until someone speaks up)

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 1 ‡

    The lights go up. The crowd cheers. A fellow in a pinstripe hat hawks hotdogs somewhere in the audience. Mmm.

    From either side of the arena, two relative newcomers come onto the field. The two trainers stare each other down as a momentary hush descends over the audience. You can see the pistons firing behind their eyes as they think carefully over their selections. At once, Papabopp releases a spritely Totodile named Hydro while Dabsaww counters with Skink, his intimidating Treecko. It’s on.

    Without wasting a moment, the two Pokemon begin executing their moves. Skink lets out an ear-splitting shriek that has all the participants clapping their hands over their ears. The noise is too much for Hydro, however, and the little Totodile finds his fortitude weakening as a result. As such, Hydro chooses to multiply his odds of success by, well, multiplying. Three clones sprout from his body. Which is the real gator, though?

    <Hydro: -4 EP; +3 clones; -2 Def>
    <Skink: -4 EP>

    Pleased with the way his Screech worked, Skink decides to give it another go and shrieks until every glass object in this freaking arena has been shattered to bits. Hydro’s stats again suffer, but the wily Water-type won’t be beaten that easily. He and his clones skip around merrily, utterly baffling his foe, and the ickle croc feels a little stronger and speedier as a result.

    <Hydro: -4 EP; -2 Def; +1 Atk; +1 Spd>
    <Skink: -4 EP>

    Enjoying his new quickness, Hydro traipses over to his foe as icy energy coats his fierce-looking jaws. The clones follow suit, and Skink finds himself bitten all over by Totodiles! Oh my! The sharp pain in his tail brought on by the real Hydro’s Ice Fang makes it clear which Totodile must be the real one. As such, Skink knows exactly where to strike as he unleashes a Drain Punch that successfully collides with an actual target.

    <Hydro: -13 HP; -5 EP>
    <Skink: -11 HP; +6 HP; -3 EP>

    ‡ Post-Round ‡
    Note: I hate to nitpick, but can you guys make sure you declare both the gender and abilities of your Pokemon when you release them? (Though the latter wasn't so big a deal this time around since I'm so lame that I already know Totodile's and Treecko's abilities.) Additionally, if you have a problem with my proposed DQ time, speak now or forever blah blah blah.
    Other note: At 0 EP, Pokemon will begin to lose 1 HP for every 2 EP they consume

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 2 ‡

    Despite his little posse of clones, Hydro still feels a little on the lonely side. He Double Teams to bring three new pals into existence. Oh man, now they have enough to start a soccer team! Before they can decide who will bring the halftime snack, Skink attacks with a speedy Aerial Ace that tears through the six clones before hitting the real Totodile. Just like that, Hydro once again finds himself alone. Poor little guy.

    <Hydro: -12 HP; -4 EP>
    <Skink: -4 EP>

    As if from nowhere, Skink procures a tiny piece of grass and pressed it between its two little thumbs. It blows hard and a shrill noise blares through the arena. It’s kind of aggravating, really, but Hydro seems to find it a little melodic—such to the extent that it can’t help but curl up and have a little nap. Sleep tight, Hydro!

    <Hydro: Asleep>
    <Skink: -3 EP>

    While his foe is lost in dream world, Skink runs up and smacks the gator with a powerful punching attack. You’d think that would wake the Totodile up, but no dice. Some folks are just heavy sleepers like that, I suppose?

    <Hydro: -13 HP; Zzz>
    <Skink: +6 HP; -3 EP>

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 3 ‡

    As his foe counts some z’s, Skink focuses his energy into a shimmering sphere he holds above his head. With DBZ-like grace, he whips the ball at the slumbering Totodile. In response, Hydro snores sonorously and shoots off a jet of water Skink’s way. The Water Gun makes contact, but the adamant Treecko appears unfazed.

    <Hydro: -9 HP; -8 EP>
    <Skink: -1 HP; -4 EP>

    Treecko scrunches up his fists and spits out a tiny seed that strikes its target and sends out a series of leafy tendrils that wrap themselves around Hydro’s body. Still asleep, Hydro jumps to his feet and begins wandering around funnily. It looks like goofy sleepwalking, but there’s still something… swaggery about it? Skink can’t understand what would make his foe act that way and begins feeling a mix of heightened strength and confusion as a result.

    <Hydro: -8 EP>
    <Skink: -4 EP; +2 Atk; Confusion>

    With Meditite-like concentration, Skink manages to bypass the confusion and sits down on the ground to concentrate. Hydro, perhaps sensing the lull, opens his eyes. No more sleep! As such, he scampers forward and snaps his teeth around the Treecko. The move bristles with icy energy and, unfortunately for Skink, the cold seems to rob him of concentration. He glowers. Stupid chipper gator ruined his plan…

    <Hydro: -5 EP>
    <Skink: -11 HP>

    With a jolt, the tiny seed saps some energy from Hydro <-3 HP> and transfers it to Skink <+3 HP>.

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 4 ‡

    The round begins as Hydro plods forward and snatches up Skink in its icy jaws. The Treecko squirms to free itself, but takes full damage nonetheless. The instant Hydro lets go, Skink manages to get around his Confusion and performs a Double Team, bringing three identical copies of itself into existence. Bewildered, Hydro peers from one to the next, trying to determine which might be the real deal.

    <Hydro: -5 EP>
    <Skink: -11 HP; -4 EP; +3 clones>

    Without any way to tell which of the Treeckos is a clone and which is Skink, Hydro goes for another Ice Fang at a random target, which vanishes instantly. Bad luck, my friend. With this chance to launch an attack, Skink again manages to avoid letting his Confusion get the best of him and throws his arms up to the sky as the sun fills the arena with harsh light. Ahh, how pleasant.

    <Hydro: -5 EP>
    <Skink: -4 EP; 2 clones>

    Hydro goes for a second Ice Fang, but only manages to sink his teeth into another clone. Skink, however, spots a fun-looking pebble on the ground and begins to play with it merrily. Ahh, Confusion. It rears its head at last.

    <Hydro: -5 EP>
    <Skink: All boggled; 1 clone>

    With a jolt, the tiny seed saps some energy from Hydro <-3 HP> and transfers it to Skink <+3 HP>. As well, the Confusion ends.

    Let's channel that rage into the battle, folks.

    Team Papabopp versus Team Dabsaww

    Location: Typical arena
    Rules: OHKO moves and Toxic
    Abilities: Active
    DQ Time: 5 days

    ‡ Pre-Round ‡

    ‡ Round 5 ‡

    Skink opens his arms to the heavens and begins collecting power from the blazing sun. Nu-uh, not so fast. Before Skink can execute the move, Hydro performs a jaunty little jig, skipping and clapping and hopping around. Suddenly, clouds overtake the sun and begin spilling huge drops of water all over the arena. Skink’s eyes go wide. That one-turn move suddenly turned into two, buster.

    <Hydro: -3 EP>
    <Skink: But… no sun? >

    The Treecko strains to collect enough solar power to perform the attack, but he finds the task challenging. Hydro throws up a preemptory Protect to block the Seed Bomb he expects, but instead Skink’s severely weakened SolarBeam eventually comes screaming across the battlefield instead. The energy dissipates upon striking the Protection which leads to Skink having a major facepalm moment. All that work… for that?

    <Hydro: -12 EP>
    <Skink: -10 EP>

    Chipper about his quick thinking, Hydro dances across the arena in a rapid blue blur to strike Skink in the gut. (Okay, non sequitur, but really… what is remotely “aerial” about a friggin’ Totodile?) Skink glowers at the fact that he only gets to fire off two attacks this round and launches those explosive seeds with a good deal of spite. Yeah. Eat it, beeyotch.

    <Hydro: -12 HP; -3 EP>
    <Skink: -10 HP; -4 EP>

    With a jolt, the tiny seed saps some energy from Hydro <-3 HP> and transfers it to Skink <+3 HP>.

    ‡ Post-Round ‡
    Rain Dance: 2 Rounds
    Note: Just because I anticipate this being asked... the Movelist categorizes Seed Bomb as a Special move, unlike the games which state that it is Physical, which is why that move wasn't quite as powerful as you perhaps expected.
