Good day, ladies and gents! Much like the gladiators who once duked it out in this ramshackle Colosseum, DCM and Ryan will provide today’s entertainment with some butt-kickin’, fist-swingin’, curb-stompin’ action. (Except, uh, not that last one, probably.)
Ryan is the first to release, sending out a purple balloon-like creature that hovers just above the ground. DCM counters with a wee little skunk-like critter with a less-than-endearing nickname. These two combatants look ready to get things started, so let’s do it!
FartBrain is the first to move, wiggling his tail in such a way that coaxes the cloud cover to dissipate and the sun to beam down upon the arena with a little extra kick. Squinting, Koffing spits out a tiny blue flame that flutters across the distance separating the adversaries before striking the Stunky. Ugh, you thought skunks normally smelled bad; try dealing with one whose fur is singed. Gag. But still, that burn looks painful…

Not one to be deterred by any silly burn, FartBrain breathes a snake-like trail of flames at his foe. Thanks to the sunlight, the move gives Koffing a little extra grief. Fearing for his safety, Koffing enshrouds the field with a thick, gritty veil of smoke. Because the arena is well-ventilated, the gas doesn’t stick around; nonetheless, a bit of it gets in FartBrain’s eyes and compromises his accuracy a tad.

Since the last Flamethrower went off without a hitch, FartBrain figures why not give it another go? Hot flames again issue from the little Stunky’s mouth and toast Koffing sufficiently. Koffing replies with a burst of Dark-type energy that sails across the arena and strikes his foe. However, because FartBrain also happens to be of the Dark persuasion, the impact of the move suffers.
